I believe "iog" says just the opposite. Go and re-read what he said about Satan approaching Job. Not to mention, John the Baptist and Jesus, to name a few!

As iog said in another of his post... why would Satan go after sinners? They are already serving him. Satan wants a larger group with him in the lake of fire......and to do that he must go after the righteous...those that are keeping God's laws and commandments.

Man points pistol at Bulgarian politician

A man Saturday approached Bulgarian opposition politician Ahmet Dogan, who was at a lectern giving a speech at a party conference in Sofia, the capital city.

Video shows the man pointing a gas pistol at the head of Dogan, who grappled with him, according to Bulgaria State News (BTA).

Dogan, leader of the ethnic Turk Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), managed to knock the gun away as people rushed the stage and subdued the assailant.

The suspect was arrested and identified as Oktay Yenimehmedov, 25, according to media reports.

Dogan, who is leaving his party post after more than 20 years, was unscathed. He did not continue his speech.

BTA did not indicate a possible motive.

Turkey's Anadolu News Agency said the majority of MRF's members are ethnic Turks, who make up nearly 9% of Bulgaria's population.

The convention elected Lutfi Mestan to succeed Dogan, Anadolu reported.

Why would he listen to that request?

Let me give you a little history. My parents were missionaries to the Philippines before WW2. My father was Captain of a "Gospel Ship" that took missionaries all over the islands. Jolo Island, in the extreme south, was rather primitive in the ‘30s with a large Muslim population, but my father decided to go ashore and invited me, his eight old son, to go with him. Unbeknownst to us, the Muslim imams up in the hills were feeding their flocks beetlenut (a local narcotic) and telling them if they went to town and killed a few Christians, particularly if they got a white missionary, that they'd get few extra virgins in Paradise.

Well, this crazed Muslim with jihad on his mind, comes running down the dock at us swinging a native sword called a bolo. My father reaches down for my hand and says, “Stand fast son.” He then throws his sword cane up in the air and grabs it by the small end. Now that sword cane had a large solid silver head, about the size of a hardball. Well, this screaming native tries to behead my father, who parries and clubs the guy across the side of the head, full force, probably killing him. This is life or death, so it was no love tap on the noggin.

Of course, my father could have fallen to his knees and sung a few hymns, in which case, I wouldn’t be here to tell you about it, would I? Point being: Christians back then appear to have been made of sterner stuff or, with all due respect, could we possibly be confusing the wimpy attitudes, so popular in the churches today, with sanctity?

God is Awesome. God takes care of those that OBEY Him; Noah, Abraham, Moses and the nation of Israel (When they obeyed God), and all of God's saints. He will do the same in the future....He will protect those that obey Him during the tribulation period....there will be no need for guns or weapons. Just faith in God and His word.
