I read and believe every one of the Scriptures, but the Lord does not usually step in and supernaturally defend people. If you don't believe that, just look at the 20,000,000 people (mostly Christians and Jews) that the Lord allowed to be killed by Nazi Germany during WW2 or read Fox's Book of Martyrs, Martyrs Mirror or the Pilgrim Church. On the other hand, our God is also a God of war . . .
Psa 144:1 "Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight."
what?
lets take facts from the bible where we can read the Lord going up and fighting for Israel in the day of battle
Zechariah 14:3
Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the
day of battle.
Joshua 10:13-15
King James Version (KJV)
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man:
for the Lord fought for Israel.
15 And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal
2 Chronicles 20:28-30
King James Version (KJV)
28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the Lord.
29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries,
when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel.
30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.
supernatural is man's concept of not understanding
what happen in WW2, I don't know
what happen in the pages of the bible from Genesis to Revelation God fought for his people, when they were waliking right or when they called upon his name
