5. True worship of God is private and should be done to be heard by God and not a show.

6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Fasting to Be Seen Only by God

16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[n]

4. God's agape love for ALL of humanity, even your enemies

*******
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’[f]39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[g] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,[h] 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren[i] only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors[j] do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
This is about stealing and coveting and how we should love those even though they sin against us.

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if
we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Everyone who believes, and walks according to the fruit of the Spirit has no debt of literal Sabbath keeping remaining against them.
No one can FOLLOW God's WORD without God's SPIRIT and FAITH because we are all sinners in need of a Saviour. God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments and just like all the other Commandments if you break ANY one of them you stand before GOD "UNDER THE LAW" guilty of breakin it (SIN) (Romans 3:19-20; James 2:9-11; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20; 7:7; 6:23) and need to seek Jesus in REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS. NO REPENTANCE and NO FORGIVENESS means NO SPIRIT. (Acts 5:32)

The literal worship laws were how the people of God were commanded to draw near to God in worship, or else they would be cut off. But in this New Covenant we draw near to God through faith in Christ.
Suggest you read the whole Chapter of Hebrews 11 as well as Hebrews 4 focus on v2, God's people in the OLD Covenant were saved the same way as they are in the NEW and that has always been by FAITH. The MOSIAC BOOK of the COVENANT points to the NEW COVENANT in the BLOOD of Christ (Hebrews 8-11)

And because we have drawn near in this new and superior and perfect way there is no need to HAVE to draw near to God through the old way of the literal law.
In the NEW Covenant God's LAW is written on the HEART by FAITH in his WORD to LOVE and LOVE is the fulfilling (doing) of his LAW in those who BELIEVE. This includes the 4th Commandment which is one of the 10. If you break is you are "UNDER THE LAW" guilty of SIN and not UNDER GRACE.

That doesn't mean we can't keep the old covenant way of worship. In fact, if the early Catholic church buffoons hadn't invented and enforced their own competing observances we'd still be worshiping in the literal way of Moses. Just not for the purpose of justification (which it could not accomplish anyway), but for the purpose of praise and worship of God, remembering the Sacrifice of Jesus which the Mosaic way of worship points to and commemorates.
INDEED, so who do we follow God's WORD (Sola Scriptura) or the tradtions of the Romans Catholic church that has lead many to break the commandments of God by following man made tradtions over the WORD of GOD (Sola Scriptura)?

Pretty sure LGF said it to me in all seriousness. He doesn't believe we can keep the Sabbath EVERY day. He claims if we keep every day Holy we are to do no work and thus starve to death. Jesus said we can do God's work even on the Sabbath. The Bible also says to do ALL WORK as if FOR GOD NoT MAN.
Hello Ariel, you still do not get it do you?

God's Sabbath is the 4th Commandment given to us by God at creation and then commanded to us spoken and written by God on two tables of stone and transferred to us on the fleshly tables of the HEART under the NEW Covenant promise.

Jesus did God's WORK. He did not go out to earn a living and get paid or went out buying and selling.. I think he kicked those guys out of the temple that were doing that with a whip. He kept the Sabbath according to the commandment as did all the disciples.

Let me ask you again as you do not reply to my posts and all the scriptures in them that disagree with you.

How can you keep God's Sabbath EVERY DAY if God's Sabbath is a HOLY DAY and NO WORK is to be done on it. God says six days you can labor and do all your work but the SEVENTH DAY is a HOLY REST day that NO WORK is to be done.

The Commandment is NOT talking about doing God's WORK that can be done everyday and doing GOOD on the SABBATH in the 4th Commandment. It is talking about DOING your OWN WORK which can be done every other DAY of the WEEK.

That is WHY you cannot keep God's SABBATH EVERY DAY because it is a HOLY DAY. Read the scriptures...

GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9,
Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10,
But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11,
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

You can worship GOD everyday and so we all should. This is different however from the 4th Commandment that is set apart by God from all the other days of the week as a HOLY DAY of rest redicated soley to the CREATOR where NO WORK is to be DONE.

Sola Scriptura; I believe God's WORD how about you?

You must think that we are really stupid...

Gen 26:5 is not proof of anything....
The word law is used but that does not prove that it is a reference to the TORAH.
In fact it CANNOT be a reference to the Torah because the Torah was given to Moses on Mount Sinai - not a moment before!

You cannot provide any Scriptural evidence that Abraham or any other individual prior to Moses had any knowledge of the Torah, or kept the Sabbath!
If there was you would have gleefully pointed it out.
Nothing mentioned in Gen 26:5 can be used as proof that Abraham kept the Torah or observed the Sabbath.

All of your huffing and puffing and numerous Scriptural quotes to try and bolster this position that the Patriarchs were in possession of the Torah all fall flat because you cannot point to ANY Scripture which details them receiving it.

Nobody denies that sin was present prior to the reception of the Torah on Mount Sinai. It entered the human race as documented in Genesis chapter 3. All it took was a single command from God that was broken. Neither Adam nor his wife were in possession of the Torah - they had no need of it!

Your belief that Abraham or any other of the Patriarchs were in possession of the Torah and observed the Sabbath is the purest speculation on your part....

The first mention of the Sabbath is Exodus 20:8 - and that is that.
There is absolutely no evidence of Sabbath observance prior to this otherwise YOU would provided the Scriptures, but they simply don't exist.
Hello GNP, God's WORD disagrees with you......

GOD'S LAW (TORAH) IN GENESIS AND THE SABBATH

Gen 26:5
Because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries w/TVM, Strong LAWS - H8451; תּורה תּרה; tôrâh tôrâh; to-raw', to-raw'
From H3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law.

Abraham kept God's TORAH which includes God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the sacrificial laws for remission of SIN and SIN offerings.

Genesis 22
6,
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
7, And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

13, And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns:and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Burnt offereings were made for remission of SIN. What is SIN? Sin is disobedience to God's WORD and includes breaking God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11; 1 John 3:4). It is God's WORD and his LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN (Romans 3:20)

Romans 3
19,
Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

NOW if GOD tells us that Abraham kept his TORAH (LAWS) then is God's 4th Commandment not part of the TORAH?

Indeed it is. Where does it say in God's WORD that Abraham or any of God's people before MOSES did NOT Keep God's Sabbath?

God says Abraham kept TORAH (10 Commandments and sin offereings). You say Abraham DID NOT keep TORAH (This includes God's 4th Commandment). Who do we believe God or man?

Now if you BELIEVE Abraham did NOT keep God's SABBATH (part of TORAH) then please show the scriptures proving that Abraham did not keep the Sabbath which is part of the TORAH?

God's WORD shows God's LAW (10 Commandments) and the CEREMONIAL laws and ORDINANCES for SIN offerings (TORAH) were kept BEFORE Mt Sinai.

Let's look at God's WORD....

Genesis 26
5,
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 5
24, And Enoch walked with God:
and he was not; for God took him.

Genesis 6
8,
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9, These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

CONCLUSION:
God's people before Mt Sinai followed him and kept his laws (TORAH). God's Sabbath is a part of God's law (TORAH). There is NO scripture that says God's people including Abraham did NOT keep God's Sabbath. Genesis shows that God's people including Abraham kept his law (TORAH) which includes the Sabbath.

..................

God destroys mankind because of sin......

Genesis 6
5,
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that EVERY IMAGINATION OF THE THOUGHTS OF HIOS HEAT was only EVIL CONTINUALLY.
6, And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7, And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

What are these CONTINUAL EVIL THOUGHTS?

Matthew 15
19,
For out of the heart proceed EVIL THOUGHTS, MURDERS, ADULTERIES, FORNICATION, THEFTS, FALSE WITNESS, BLASPHEMIES
20, These are the things which defile a man:

Evil is breaking God's Commandments in thought and actions.

Genesis 6
8,
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9, These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 8:20 And Noah built an altar to the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

CONCLUSION: SIN existed BEFORE Mt Sinai, SIN is disobeying God's WORD and breaking his law (Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11). The WORLD was destroyed because of SIN (breaking God's LAW). Noah walked with God and was perfect in God's eyes not destroyed because he and his family did NOT practice sin. Noah followed God's LAW and offered SIN offerings for forgiveness of SIN (TORAH)

Cain was punished by God for Murder (6th Commandment Exo 20:13)

Genesis 4
8,
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9, And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10, And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
11, And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
12, When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
13, And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

links to....

1 John 3
12,
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15, Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

CONCLUSION: SIN existed BEFORE Mt Sinai, SIN is disobeying God's WORD and breaking his law (Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11). CAIN was punished for the SIN of MURDER when he slew his brother Abel.

In Genesis we also read about Joseph in Egypt as a servant being tempted to commit adultery with Potifer’s wife

Genesis 39
7, And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
8, But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
9,There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

If Joseph did NOT know God’s LAW then how did he know he was SINNING against God by committing adultery with Potifer’s wife?

CONCLUSION: SIN existed BEFORE Mt Sinai, SIN is disobeying God's WORD and breaking his law (Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11). Joseph knew that to commit ADULTERY (7th Commandment; Exodus 20:14) was SIN against God and refused not to SIN.

..................The Mosaic laws for remission of sin (SACRIFICIAL SIN OFFERINGS) were practiced BEFORE Sinai....

Genesis 4
4,
And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering.

Genesis 8
20,
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (10 Commandments) please read Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and James 2:11. God's LAW gives us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3:20) SIN offereings were only practiced in the OLD Covenant for the remission or forgiveness of SIN (Breaking God's 10 Commandments) If God's people did not have God's LAW why are they offering SIN offereings to God if these laws were only known about in Mt Sinai?

Abraham and his son practiced and knew about sin offerings...

Genesis 22
7,
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Exodus 10
25,
And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

CONCLUSION: SIN existed BEFORE Mt Sinai, SIN is disobeying God's WORD and breaking his law (Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; James 2:9-11). From Abel through to Abraham before MOSES we see God's people obeying God's LAW and providing sin offerings to God for breaking his law. If there was no law (TORAH) there would be no sin and no need for sin offerings.

..................
The Sabbath was also kept by our first parents and also others BEFORE Sinai. The reason God gave the 10 Commandments again was being His people had been slaves in Egypt for 430 years (Exodus 12:40). God delivered his people from Egypt (the World) and needed to re-teach them his ways which were mostly forgotten by this time.

So yep God's LAW and the laws for remission of sin and burnt offerings of the OLD Covenant were indeed practiced BEFORE Sinai.

The Sabbath was made at the 7th Day of the creation week and given to Adam and Eve.

Let's look at the scriptures........

Genesis 2
1,
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2,
And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made.
3,
And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

RESTED H7673שָׁבַת shabath
(shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.
{used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific)}[a primitive root]KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep Sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away. Some points to note from the scriptures...............

v1 God completed creation in 6 days and RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v2
God RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v3
God SET APART the 7TH DAY and made THE 7TH DAY a HOLY DAY
v2
The 7TH DAY is part of the FINISHED WORK of the CREATION WEEKLet's now look at God's 4th commandment............

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY.
11,
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested theSEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

SABBATH H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath
(shab-bawth') n-e. 1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest.[intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) Sabbath. Root(s): H7673Now who did God make the 7th day a Holy day for? Is he making that day a Holy day for himself? Of course NOT God is already Holy. He has made the day for MANKIND as a HOLY DAY.

Let’s see what Jesus says…………

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath.
The Sabbath was made for WHO? The Sabbath was made for MAN. So here we have the God of creation telling us why the 7th Day was made a Holy day. It was made for MANKIND

STRONGS Greek MAN
G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n.1. (literally) man†-visage (i.e. a man-faced being, a man who has visibly come of age).
2. (concretely, in Hebrew) a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). 3. (generically, in English) a human being. 4. (indefinitely) a certain man (i.e. someone).
[from G435 and ops “the countenance” (from G3700)] KJV: certain, man Root(s): G435, G3700So the Sabbath was made for Human beings; clay beings (we are made out of the dust); male and female

So God made the 7th day of the week a HOLY day and blessed it for MAN this now ties in very nicely with the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) God says that it is a specific day which is the 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK that he has made to be a HOLY DAY.

Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis where God made the Day a HOLY DAY;

God’s 4th commandment to His people that says to REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP it a HOLY DAY and Jesus stating that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND (Human beings; male and female).

Now if God made the Sabbath for mankind then obviously Adam and Eve had the Sabbath. The GREEK Word for MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n. is a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female).

There is only two people made out of clay (dust) and that is Adam and Eve
.

Yep God's Sabbath was given to mankind in the Garden of Eden and made in the Creation WEEK. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE it. Those that do not BELIEVE God's Word are UNBELIVERS and UNBELIEVERS have no part in God's Kingdom.

DISAGREE?
Please show scripture to disprove this post and show where God's word says none before Moses followed God's LAW (TORAH)

The first mention of the Sabbath is Exodus 20:8 - and that is that.
There is absolutely no evidence of Sabbath observance prior to this otherwise YOU would provided the Scriptures, but they simply don't exist.
That is NOT true either GNP the ORIGIN of the Sabbath is in the CREATION WEEK in Genesis 2:1-3 where GOD made the Sabbath for MANKIND which Jesus is the LORD or CREATOR of the SABBATH (Mark 2:27-28).

ONLY God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another.

...............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

what did Jesus change BESIDES the Priesthood?

lets look...

who His mother is (His father is God).

He said that His mother, brothers and sisters are those who do God's will.
How many of the 10 commandments should we keep today?

The law is spiritual and Jesus tried to help us see this when here.
Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and ...
He didn't do away with the commandments just explained them in more details.
The way the Sabbath was being kept was wrong in some ways, so Jesus tried to explain it to the people.
Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Mat 12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
Mat 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

If the new covenant came into place after the death of Jesus.
do i say it is not ok to kill or steal before the death but after the death it is ok to kill and steal?
But to say that sacrifices, blood offerings and the ceremonies that pointed to Jesus were to be kept up until the death, but when Jesus died the ceremonies and ordinance that pointed to Jesus did stop. This makes sense. the bible backs this up.
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (Read the whole chapter).

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
(delivered from the law = saved from it's consiquences, saved from the penalty of death, but we should serve in newness of spirit, by faith, not out of duty or the oldness of the letter.)
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. ....
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

How do you justify keeping 9 out of the 10 commandments when they are all part of the same law given at the same time by the same finger and on the same stone.

I justify keeping all the commandments as Jesus laid them out in the Sermon on the Mount. You just refuse to listen to Jesus and want to be under the old covenant of Mount Sinai and not the new covenant.

How do you justify being a child of Hagar?

I have stated over and over again I believe that Jesus tells us to keep the Sabbath (resting in God, Trusting in God, speaking God's words and not our own, doing God's will and not our own) EVERY DAY! Not just once a week.

You keep ignoring my answers because in your mind its "impossible to do"

EVERYTHING you do should be for GOD.

What i say is that YOU SHOULD NOT BE "DOING YOUR OWN WORK" AT ALL.

you don't like the answer, because it show you that you are lacking and NOT listening to God's words or commandments at all.

its why you always point to Mount Sinai and NOT the New Covenant commandments that Jesus gives on the Sermon on the Mount.

you dismiss it as irrelevant because you are a child of Hagar as clearly seen in your words and posts and constantly pointing to Sinai.

Jesus went through and gave a deeper understanding of the LAW of God on the Sermon on the Mount. Its obvious when He talks about adultery and murder.

what is not obvious to you is when He talks about the Sabbath rest.

you reject it because then you can't get legalistic and self righteous about how you keep the Sabbath better than anyone else.

it shows that you don't really keep the Sabbath according to the BIBLE at all.

Colossians 3
23Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

*****

This is how one is able to keep the Sabbath EVERY DAY. if you work as if for GOD and not men. If you actually believe and live what JESUS teaches.

Is that scripture big enough for you to see or will you lie and say it hasn't been given?

Actually it doesn't....The New covenant means that no one is subject to the Sinaitic covenant. Yes we are SPIRITUALLY, but not literally, the seed of Abraham.</strong>.. Are you now claiming that we should all be circumcised on the 8th day after birth? If you are claiming that we, of the New covenant, are literally required to line up with the Abrahamic covenant and the Sinaitic covenant say so! But then the entire Torah is yours to keep, not just selected bits that are convenient for you. That is what made one literally the seed of Abraham! No, the New covenant abrogates the Sinatic covenant. Confirmed by the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15) and well explained by Paul in Galatians chapter 3.
We do INDEED HAVE A NEW COVENANT but show me Sola scriptura that says the NEW COVENANT does not have the 10 Commantments in it?

Please see God's WORD in POST # 702 linked CLICK ME and POST # 281 linked CLICK ME and all the scriptures in them that disagree with your words in relation to the COVENANTS.

Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another. How can you be spiritual in mind but not in action? It is that is which is from within that makes you who you are without.

God's WORD disagrees with you.

The entire Sinaitic covenant is set aside:Gal 3:19-25 NKJV
19,What purpose then <em>does the law <em>serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; <em>and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20, Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one. 21, Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there
had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22, But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23, But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24,Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25, But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Indeed when we have REPENTED and BEEN FORGIVEN and when we BELIEVE we are no longer UNDER the LAW guilty before GOD of breaking it (SIN).

Romans 3
19,
Now we know that whatsoever things the law says, it says to them who are UNDER THE LAW: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: <strong>for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The scriptures you quote are not saying God's LAW is abolished but SIN is through FAITH. God's LAW is the KNOWLEDGE if SIN and if we break it we are "UNDER THE LAW" guilty before GOD of SIN.

................

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,&lt;when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come&gt; calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hi TMS, there is some great questions in and scriptures in here worth praying about for those who love God's WORD. Thanks for sharing. ONLY God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another.

SIN (Breaking God's Commandments will keep all those who CONTINUE to KNOWINGLY do so OUT of God's KINGDOM.

Nice post and well written.

Galatians 4

21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, 24 which things are symbolic. For these are the[d] two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar— 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children— 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
