Your supposed to be a light to them to draw them to Christ. However you are new here. Yet you judge one as if you know them personally. Maybe try to get to know them first and love them before you judge then
John
Chapter 21

21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Concern yourself of nothing I do and pick up your own
cross and deny thyself(in this case you did not)
and follow Jesus.

You are either blind to what he is saying because he is your friend or have not been here long enough to listen to him
he has been preaching law since the first day he got here. In ever thread he opens or participates in. This thread was just the last straw. He will
Never preach law to me again
The law is a schoolmaster to lad men to Christ (Galatians 3:24, Romans 3:20, Psalms 19:7 (kjv)).

Why then should I not preach it?

Do you not want men to come to Christ through the tutelage of the schoolmaster?

When you discuss the law and tell people they need to follow it like many do
you are bring legalistic thinking into the church and I have seen many a good people Fall away because they can’t live up to the standard
if we want to talk about law let’s go to the books if the law and study then let’s not tell people how they have to obey a law they can never obey to begin with
again….
Gods standard is 1,000,000 feet not the 59 feet so many want to claim
By watering down the law saying we can literally keep it and making that the only standard
People who realize that they can't live up to the standard of the law; that ought to drive them to the cross; not cause them to fall away.

Is it not the purpose of the law to show men that they cannot live up to it in the power of the flesh?

But if we walk according to the Spirit, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4).

Memorize Romans 8:4 yet?

I believe the opposite

I believe must do understand what you said here. Sadly I believe must do not understand that the law was not made for the righteous (the believer) but the unrighteous (non believer). And like the Jews in Paul’s day want to try to insist the law to Christianity where it does nit belong
The righteous are those who are practically righteous; those who do what is righteous (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6).

There is also an imputed righteousness which is our unshakable identity that applies to us even when we blow it (Romans 4:5).

The exhortation, being that, we ought to go and live like our new identity (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6)..

The law has one purpose
to lead People to Christ
take it outside that purpose and you destroy it
that’s what the Jews did and sadly what so Many in the church are doing
the law is a tool when it is used outside its intended purpose like any tool you break it and it loses its effectiveness and is broken
Only when it is used in its intended purpose is it powerful and perfect to do what it was designed to do
For the believer, who has been justified solely through faith in the blood of Jesus, the law does have another purpose...

It is no longer a condemning taskmaster but is now a set of wisdom principles to live by, through which we can be blessed by what we do (James 1:25).

Are you just making this up as you go along???:ROFL::ROFL:

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

If you haven't been set free from the law of sin and death, the 10 commandments, then you haven't been shown the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.

If you are not dead to the 10 commandments then you are not alive to God.

As a CHRISTIAN.

For anyone who has not come to Christ then the 10 commandments still stand.

It is pretty easy to see who is who here.
This is the law of sin and death (Romans 7:14-25):

Rom 7:14, For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15, For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16, If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17, Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18, For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19, For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20, Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21, I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22, For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23, But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24, O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25, I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Rom 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

This is what is borne out by the context.

The ten commandments are written on the heart and mind of the New Covenant believer.

Heb 8:8, For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9, Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:15, Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Heb 10:16, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

We are not under the law, are dead to the law, and are delivered from the law, as concerning condemnation (Romans 6:14, Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19, Romans 7:6, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14, Hebrews 7:18-19, Galatians 5:18); not obedience (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6, 1 Corinthians 9:21)

humble attitude you have there.
Well I do get many prayers on my behalf from all good folks like you out there
for the living God to humble me and to take away all the arrogance out of me.

My God told me He hears of it all the time in the prayers for me.
This has been going on for around 40 years.

I asked God one time to tell me
His definition of humbleness.

I can tell you firsthand it is not the same as men down here on earth.

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
