And...the 'adversary' has many 'faces' to deceive the best 'scholars' ....human ego often
overshadows common sense...and...even that has become disturbing in a very restless society,
and the 'falling away' of God's 'principles' of living life in the now. And, has this too not
been foretold of 'to be'. "

Just something else for you to keep in mind is that on this site you have to have a paid subscription to PM other users so you may find that to be a limiting factor in helping people. But I know God will be guiding you regardless. :)

"And...the 'prince of the power of the air'...has saturated the entertainment and news media,
bringing cause of untold disobedience and polluting God's Divine Spirit. And...is not God a jealous
God. And...idolatry bears many attributes that also brings cause of self acclaim and egotism
to fester and hinder the Spirit of Christ our Lord God."

I’m thinking of quitting my job and leaving my family to spend a year of solitude in the wilderness with God. Any advice?

try to understand what to do to get reply from God
what is the way to get in touch with God

when you understand the prayer and fasting - how it should be done successfully - lawfully and with results - then the wilderness will be helpful very much

of course- simply studying the bible and fasting for your sins will help for obtaining healthy mind

Take plenty of warm clothing with you and a poncho for when it rains. I get fed up with the rat race too at times and a year of solitude in the wilderness sounds about right.

It is very unwise and foolish to ask random people to PM you. We have alot of weirdos, sexual predators and scammers here. You'd be better off answering prayers in the Prayers forum. Those people can always use help. :)
Sorry to hear about little Stanley but he's in a better place now. He's probably scarfing down a can of Fancy Feast right now and will probably take a snooze afterwards.

2. Take a good picture of your wife... she won't be there when you get back.
.
I think those are called selfies now but what do I know. The pizza and beer was sound counsel.

Jesus often went alone to pray, once for 40 days straight. Actually, the idea was scriptural.

But Jesus didnt have a wife or children.
And he completely left his old job.

And it would be going against the scripture that says if a man fails to provide for his household, he is worse than an infidel.

But if the wife was happy for him to leave and the children ok, then fine, but In practice I dont think she'd be very happy left to do all the work. Sorry husbands, if you are married you are bound. Also scripture says if you have a wife, seek not to be loosed.

That's what I've heard from my married friends.

if you wear a thin pair of dress or sports socks under wool socks, you will not get blisters, and your feet won't be all sweaty, as the wool will wick away moisture.
