Because they were the PARENTS of Jesus!

The CC could name anyone a saint.
They do have to have performed 3 miracles.
An exeption was made for Pope John Paul.
It's usually someone who had a great impact on their society
or in the Church itself...or were a great example to many.
Also, some are martyrs that died for their faith because they would
no renounce it.
OK, so because they were His grandparents they inherit sainthood?

And the thing is, how do we know His grandparents even believed in who He is?
We don't. Hardly matters to the RCC. They find some way to rationalize and justify the most outrageous sorts of nonsense, including horrific criminal abuse/activities.

Jesus grandparents were dead before He started His ministry.
It's most probable that Joseph was dead too.

Sure.
What better reason.

They made Mary.
Mary made Jesus.

See?

Without them, Jesus would never have been born.
Easy.

OK so why are they saints then?
It seems to boil don to the same reason why Mary is venerated and adored and elevated beyond any recognition that Jesus gave her. It is idolatry.

Sure. What better reason. They made Mary. Mary made Jesus. See? Without them, Jesus would never have been born. Easy.
Without them Jesus would have never been born? really? I think you're giving them too much credit for the lord coming into the world which was foretold even before they were born

Perhaps you got that backwards ?

Genesis 5:1,2
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

God made man.
No man made God.

God made man.
No man made God.
The Holy Spirit was the "man" that made Jesus.
Luke 1:35

But, wouldn't you say MARY had a LITTLE BIT to do with it?

Was Jesus all man or was He 100% man and 100% God?

So if Jesus is 100% God, can we say that Mary gave Birth to God?
Or is Jesus NOT GOD.

Big theological question.

I see.
You want to talk about predestination.
OK.

So Gabriel shows up at Mary's house.
Gabriel had all the important announcements to make.
Luke 1:26

Does he TELL Mary she's going to have a baby
or
Does he ASK her?
Luke 1:31

Mary, says, sure --- I'm WILLING TO DO whatever it is I'm supposed to do according to the Word you brought me from God.
Luke 1:38

So, Is Mary WILLING to become the mother of Jesus?
or has Mary just been informed she MUST become the mother of Jesus?

Why do you call him my buddy? You are the one who is promoting Catholicism here. Well, one of the ones :) I see your protestant hating friend has joined you.
Now now dear Magenta.
A good Christian will always humble themselves when necessary, that is our testimony.

I explained this already.

You have something against them??
Lol why would I? This is the first I heard of them.
I'm asking these questions because of my understanding of Catholic sainthood (which is pretty much what you explained earlier). Did they perform any miracles? For the exception of giving birth to Mary did they have any significant impact on the Church?

The Italians started the Mafia also.
Do I hear you correctly?
Italians?
You blame Italians for organized crime?
Do you have something against Italians?
My wife was born and raised in Italy.
Are you calling her a criminal?
What's wrong with you?
That's shameful to talk this way.

Everyone did in some form or other.
It's just another thing of the catholic church.
Things.
Every church has things.
Think about it.

For the record, I'm legitimately asking questions. There is no need to answer me which such snark. Especially when I'm not asking you directly.
