I watched this when I began my journey in understanding the way the Critical Text had been elevated. Even for those who disagree, it’s worth taking into account as it is better to argue against a position someone holds than one they don’t.

This is an excellent video. The people on the side of "oldest and best" are desperate to dismiss Simonides. Never heard of Simonides? Watch the video.

There is a lot of reason to prefer the Byzantine text. I changed my position on this a while back.
One of the reasons I got to thinking about it is the number of Bibles that now have "gender nuetral" versons or what I and perhaps others call neutered versions. So I looked into the text traditions and translation traditions.
So while I disagree that older means better, i do agree that church history matters.

Which Bible do you use, if I may ask?
for my Old Testament, we have what God Himself gave to the Hebrew People, which is most Authentic Version of the Old Testament there is. So, for my Old Testament, I use the Tanakh.

and since we know the Gospels were originally Hebrew/Aramaic: [we have words like Eli Eli LLama Sabachthani or Talitha just to name 2 quick ones] <--- the reason those Aramaic Words are Still in the Gospels is because there is NO GREEK transition, wording, or meaning to translate. so, they left it Original Aramaic.
^
since we know they LEFT Aramaic Words they could not translate, means, the original Gospels, were Aramaic, and like Papias wrote in 74 AD, people did their best to translate.

i don't know about you, but, when it comes to the Holy Word of God, i [[do NOT]] want the Version that was Translated as ""best"" they could. therefore, i use the Aramaic New Testament in English.

in fact, read this Correct Passage of Scripture and tell me if you cannot feel the Power of God when reading it:

25. But in the fourth watch of the night, Yeshua came unto them, while he was walking on the water.
26. And his disciples saw him, that he was walking on the water, and they were alarmed and they were saying, "It is a hallucination", and they cried out in fear.
27. But Yeshua immediately spoke with them and he said, "Take heart; I AM THE LIVING GOD*. Do not be afraid."
28. And Kaypha answered and he said to him, "My Lord, if you are He, command me to come unto you on the water."
29. And Yeshua said to him, "Come", and Kaypha went down from the ship and he walked on the water to come to Yeshua.

read how Powerful this Correct Version is:

Mark 14:

60. The High Priest stood up in the center and asked Yeshua, and he said, "Do you not answer? Why are these testifying against you?"
61. But he was silent, and he did not answer him anything. And again, The High Priest asked him and said, "Are you The Messiah, The Son of The Blessed One?"
62. But Yeshua said to him, "I AM THE LIVING GOD, and you shall behold The Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of Heaven."
63. But The High Priest ripped his tunic and he said, "Why now do we need witnesses?"
64. "Behold, you have heard the blasphemy from his own mouth. How does it appear to you?" But they all judged that he deserved death.

John Chapter 8:

56. "Abraham your father desired to see my day, and he saw it and rejoiced."
57. The Jews were saying to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?"
58. Yeshua said to them: "Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD."
59. And they picked up stones to stone him, and Yeshua hid himself and went out from The Temple and passed through their midst and moved on.

love this: Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD."

what is the TIMELESS TRUTH?
Jesus is : I AM THE LIVING GOD

erasmus, creator of the Textus Receptus, which is what the KJV Bible is formatted from, claimed to have used the 10th Century Latin Vulgate, which is the ""TAMPERED Version"" from the original 3rd Century one Jerome Translated. erasmus wrote, this is not a Correct Version and Legit!

but, it's millions of People's Bible now.

And Jerome and Papias both said those translating the Gospels into Greek were struggling.

so no matter what you gotta do to believe how you believe concerning the KJV Bible, keep doing it, because, it really is a horrific Translation. they use Greek Myth Words like UNICORN...as in the Power of God is equal to a Unicorn. that is Paganism and Satanism! that is what can be found 7 times in the KJV Bible. and that's just one Example.
You do realize dragon is in the bible too... a mythical creature.

But hold on, do you also realize that KJV was written in 1611 and many words have drastically changed meaning since then? That doesn't make the translation incorrect, that just means you have to look up meanings of words. The word unicorn was borrowed into English from Latin, then French around 1200AD and it just means a very powerful land creature with one horn (most likely a wild ox). Isn't that what the original Hebrew says?

There are many instances in the bible, including original text where poetic language is used to equate various entities to things they obviously are not comparable to. That's just poetry.

I have shared the gospel online, in person, in newspapers...you name it...and I never once required a "secret message" or Bible code while doing so.

"The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:17) is perfectly capable of doing what it was designed by God to do without any sort of "secret message" or Bible code to back it up.

If spoken in truth, God's word will cut people to their hearts.

Some will repent, and others will get angry.

This is what the Bible teaches, and this is what I have personally witnessed and experienced multitudes of times while witnessing to Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, atheists, agnostics, etc., etc.

Act 2:37
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Act 5:33
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Act 7:54
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Neither Jesus, nor the prophets, nor the apostles, nor any disciple of Jesus Christ ever required a "secret message" or Bible code to convince their hearers, so just give it a rest lest you fulfill this "secret message":

2 Peter 2:16

"But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. "
The message of the bible will be fulfilled (the obvious and the hidden) whether you like it or not. And did you really mean to indirectly call me names?

Matthew 5:22 - But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Mathew 12:36: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Interesting that the oldest Chinese “dragon” carvings look like something else….

That's not the correct translation. Verse 26 has spirit, not hallucination and verse 27, Jesus says do not be afraid, it is I. It doesn't say "I am the living God".

yeah, you're using the faulty Greek, which the Church Fathers pointed out!

we know it is SATAN, but unicorn, is a flying magical horse being compared to God Almighty. you cannot get any more Blasphemous/idolatrous than that!
Now you're calling the bible blasphemous. All versions, including original Hebrew text compare strength of God to wild ox. That's just poetic language.

I've already explained to you where the word Unicorn came from, it DID NOT mean magical creature in the time of King James.

here is for Gospel of Matthew showing it was FIRST written in Hebrew then they TRIED to translate to Greek:

Papias wrote: “And so Matthew composed the sayings in the Hebrew tongue, and each one interpreted [Or: translated] them to the best of his ability.”

Which one? There tens of thousands of Hebrew manuscripts, how do you know which one is correct?
22 God has brought them out of Egypt with the strength of His loftiness. כבאֵ֖ל מֽוֹצִיאָ֣ם מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם כְּתֽוֹעֲפֹ֥ת רְאֵ֖ם לֽוֹ:
