You're right, the term in those cases would be "ignorant", because trolls are deliberate in their attacks, not misinformed. However, you are talking about Hebrew Gematria, which is something I never even mentioned. The links and videos I posted are something completely different.

But also, if you look through the messages you will actually see trolls leaving spam messages. So yes there are actual trolls on here.

The guy who wrote The Bible Code, first published in 1997 by Simon & Schuster, Michael Alan Drosnin, was Jewish and an atheist. Maybe that's where she got rabbi.

That's what I'm saying. These videos are not even looking at prophecy or anything other than trying to find mathematical/scientific proof that the bible is the word of God. We need that proof to bring more people to Christ because Islamists have their own "scientific proof" for the Quran and I've talked to people who left for Islam because of it.

Daniel's 70 week prophecy says otherwise (Daniel 9:24). It sounds like you're uninformed about he bible and you're like someone in the dark ages declaring math and science to be "of the devil" because you can't tell the difference between numerology, gnosticism and actual science.

Recently I came across this video on Youtube where the guy uses software to count number of occurrences of certain words in the bible and the King James version is just FILLED completely with all kinds of secret messages.

I downloaded the software (King James Pure Bible Search) and went to work... so far I found prophet Muhammad's birth and death year

I looked up all occurrences and variations of the words false, prophet and Ishmaelite. I got 633 occurences in 570 verses.

Now I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence/confirmation bias.

The guy's Youtube channel has a lot of other videos with countless other encoded formulas that make it just about impossible to dismiss the whole thing as coincidence or conspiracy.

They arent hidden. They are spelled right out.

The problem is that these same secret code claims cant be made of a Bible printed in Chinese or Swahili. But are only found in the english translation. Which would mean that His secrets were for the English only.

The King James Bible is the most popular book and bible of all time, so it makes sense that God would make it the most accurate and put his signature in it confirming that it is.

I think the ambiguity comes in the phrasing of the initial thread title. “Secret” is such a loaded word and brings to mind secret societies like the Masons who tell their initiates one thing and those in higher ranks another.

These formulas are supposedly proof that King James Bible is the most accurate translation (it's the most popular book and most popular bible ever printed so it would make sense that God would make it the most accurate). Otherwise what are these mathematical proofs for? You can't dismiss them as coincidence.

I don’t know if “codes” or “secret messages“ are the right words to use. Makes it sound as if the Bible is written for geniuses and certain members of a club and whatnot. And true, in it, we find acrostics and parables and numbers; nonetheless, the Word of God was written so that anyone can read it and understand it through the Holy Spirit. And in it, our Creator has foretold us everything that we need to know.

I remember this book, it was recommended by another Christian when I was learning about Christianity - late 1990s I think.
Simply put, if the letters of the Bible are placed like a word-search puzzle all sorts of prophecies are revealed - fulfilled & to come.
I was told it wasn't a means of prophecy, rather to show how mysterious God and the depth of revelation that could be attained by probing His Word this way.
Such things are not of God, lead to all sorts of confusion especially to those new to Christianity & should be avoided. The Bible contains everything we need to know about God & the purpose of our lives.
To my reckoning the Lord Jesus Christ wasn't glorified at all.

I think it’s a question of audience. Some people are blessed by seeing this in scripture, others are left unmoved by that kind of corroborative evidence as they have a simple, relational faith anyway and are not “numbers people”.
