lol my suggestion is read your words as if someone else is telling YOU the same thing and see if your words convict or justify the thoughts in your heart and mind. for it is by YOUR words that you will be judged or justified. ;) just a suggestion.
Sorry how do my words contradict what i'm trying to explain to him? :)

regarding the OP. With love and respect, it is no use caalling people hypocrits unless you teach them the conditions under which they llive:

1) They claim to be christians but do not tithe the full tithe
2) the weep that God does not hear them but they are unfaithful to their spouses in thought or action
3) They promise God to do stuff for him but offer him second best.
4) we say we teach but we teach people in a way that leads them astray (into sin) (a lukewarm moral life)
5) presuming upon the name of God but not having a deep love and respect and even fear of the Father because he is a great King.

So, God is a God of Love just like Malachi wrote the oracle because he chose us rather than others, to be his church. Just as Israel was chosen. But we sometimes think that God ignores us.

For those who have heard God and know he hears them they must be getting these basics right.

How bout' we start with bla bla bla Tobby ? Did you find my previous post to you acceptable ? Or did you find my words......"If one sins and they are truly a Christian, they know where to go to repent. Not to me .....but to Jesus" a tad prideful and self-righteous ? Incidentally, those weren't really my words. I reposted them verbatim from another thread......post #83 on the "Saved sinners" thread. Our "good intentions" are no replacement for God's gift of grace.

*bla bla bla*. Does not indicate pride, and whatever i said to you is correct and true!. And i'm not changing it.

The thing is you go on talking about how proud people are because they don't agree with you. And it kind of summarizes you!.. If you tell one person that he is proud, then you might be right!. But when you find two people proud.. Co-incidentally, (these two people are against what you believe). Then it becomes a problem!.

Maybe it's not these people who are really proud, maybe it's you who need to pray to God to take away pride from you, so you don't get too blinded to accept the truth!. And that God should teach you not to judge people and call them Proud just because they don't agree with you!...

Really, it might help you :rolleyes:

What is a hypocrite?

A person who says one thing, or in christian's case, preaches one thing, and does not do what they say or preach.

In its simplest form, hypocrisy is a lie at the most basic level, in what motivates the person in their life decisions. A hypocrite will tell another to not sin, and then when they are in secret, will commit the very sin that they spoke against. They will say that a person should do this and that, but exempt themselves from those very things. They will say, don't judge me, but are constantly judging others as faulty or wrong.

All of these and more are sins, the sin of hypocrisy. But a hypocrite is worse still. They have no shame in their lies, and they truly believe that they are right, and everyone else is wrong. They are unwilling or unable to see their own lives in truth, but are very willing to judge others lives based upon their hypocritical view of right and wrong. A hypocrite is a person who is unable to be truthful about themselves, who is unwilling to see their lives in the truth. And they are perfectly happy to remain in this state, because it pleases them.

But what causes one to loose their vision so completely? An inflated sense of self worth and self importance. And a sense of being better than every other person. Many criminals are hypocrites. They do not want anyone to steal from them, nor to rape them or take their life, but feel perfectly justified in doing these things to others. Because they are worthy. And they cannot see other people with compassion.

The new commandment that Jesus gave us is proof against hypocrisy. His commandment to love one another even as He has loved us is the essence of denying ourselves in favor of our brothers and sisters. A hypocrite is simply unable to do this.

So, when Jesus returns, hypocrites will face His wrath, whether they are in the church, or without. Jesus hates hypocrites, for it is a type of spirit that is just as the devil, in that he will be like the Most High. "Everything is for me," says the hypocrite.

I do not find those words Prideful or self-righteous.. What i find annoying is that you keep using the word Proud on anybody that disagrees with you... Stop Judging People!

Baloney. I have only used the term proud on those claiming to be prophets. Prophets who speak damnation and condemnation on what Christ has sanctified. (Note to self....Tobby is not credible)

Sanctified. It would be good to look up that word, and see what it means.

If the church was sanctified, if she was set apart as holy, if she would actually find the faith to allow the Holy Spirit to make her holy, then God would have no problem with her.

The Spirit asked me in worship service once what one gets when they put a harlot in a wedding dress. Well, you can guess the answer. He said that this is not the kind of bride He would give His Son to wed.

So you figure it out.

Luke 18:10-12
New King James Version (NKJV)
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’

does anyone know how the rest of the story goes?

I am sure that there is a point to your post, but it escapes me right now.

I believe that I was clear in my original post. If someone is not a hypocrite, then they can just ignore the words. Really pretty simple.

But, if one is a hypocrite, and they have read these words, and they do not take heed, well, that is a different story.

The other point is that who or what I am has no bearing on the words. Attacking my character does not diminish the validity of the words. (Jonah was a very poor prophet, not a very righteous man. Yet the whole city of Ninaveh was saved through his words. A lesson it would do us all well to remember.)

In Christ,
