Here's one URL:

Did Allah transform Jews into apes and pigs? An analysis of three passages in the Quran.

I am going to a conference on Islam and Christianity next week at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am traveling with an ex Muslim. I asked him about this question regarding the apes.

He knows the Qur'an very well. He memorized it. Apparently that accords some type of blessing in Islam.
Sounds interesting. If I would be living in the States as well right now I'd love to come with you guys. I'll take a look at that website, thanks!

I'm not exactly clear about what your purpose is here. Are you seeking Jesus and wanting to know Who He is? Or are you trying to convert the Christians on this site to your Muslim beliefs?
Well, time has given us the answer I spoke of.

It's a troll. . .

The conference seminars may be online after the convention. I will try to remember to check.

If not perhaps I will share some materials if I can. I suppose there will be some sort of materials provided. I am mostly attending to accompany my friend and provide transportation.

James White is very good concerning Islam. He has a book coming out within the next year regarding questions and answers that I think will be excellent. He also has many debates with them on Youtube. I think many Muslims are afraid to debate him, but there is one guy Shabir Ally who debates with him regularly.

Here's one good book that is already out:

http://www.amazon.com/Every-Christi...every+christian+needs+to+know+about+the+quran

Here's another one that isn't released yet..it may be a year until it is:

http://www.amazon.com/Christianity-...4&sr=8-1&keywords=Questions+islam+james+white

I am into apologetics so I think the convention is a great opportunity for me. Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has a center for Islamic Studies, and spending 3 days with an ex Muslim talking about these things with him will be invaluable. I won't go into details because of his safety but his background in this regard is exceptional.

A link to the video of the conference or so would be nice indeed! The books look really cool and interesting but to be honest I've been buying a lot of books lately so I'll wait a couple of months before getting some more.

I'm currently reading a book (written by a secular atheist who teaches History) about the history of the Middle East. He's not picking sides in it but it's obvious that Islam was already a violent religion in the early dark ages. Around the 12th century (!) I believe, he wrote that the Europeans saw the power of Islam expand and felt that "a new jihad was around the corner". And now the media is trying to tell us that 1400 years of jihad in Islam have nothing to do with the origin it came from - Islam itself - and that we have nothing to fear. Yet the Europeans did and they had every reason to it (remember Eastern Europe, Spain AND southern France was occupied by these Satan-worshipers). Supposedly only a minority is extremist (meaning: obeying the Islamic Shariah and doing jihad for the sake of Allah as Mohammed commanded).

It also talks about the Arabs "resisting the modernism of the Byzantines (Eastern Roman empire) and culture" and things like these. I didn't buy this book for the same reason I've stated above so I got it from the library. Next time I go I'll look for something about Islam maybe.

it's not fit to anyone to spread doubts. if anyone is weak then he has to pray.
save yourself of Satan by praying. we are all servants of God. if you don't help me don't help Satan aginst me.
Um? I wasn't talking to you or about you, (although, yeah, maybe I shouldn't have taken away from your post. Kind of felt free to do that since you abandoned this for another post you created.)

As for Satan against you? If that's your biggest worry, nothing to worry about. He's a bit too FOR you, not against you. (That's not a good thing, but you seem too focused on Satan.) Maybe if you gave up thinking you're evangelizing Christians to join your pursuit of some false god and then thinking you understand anything about God or Satan, you could tell the difference.

I think you are sincere in your questioning as all your questions and points are quite commonplace for muslims or pseudo-muslims that become interested in Christianity.

Paul is not antichrist. Nevertheless because God made Paul to be all things to all men, it is no offense. You can overlook Paul's writings if you want to and the principle that Jesus is the lamb of God, crucified, and very importantly, resurrected still holds true.

You have mentioned John the Baptist, and I have noticed many muslims or pseudo-muslims have some small knowledge of John the Baptist and like him. John the Baptist is a good enough fellow indeed, and even though he is the least in the kingdom of heaven, he even testifies to the same point that Paul testified to about Jesus; that Jesus is the lamb of God sent to take away the sins of the world.

John 1:29

[SUP]29 [/SUP]The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

English isn't your native language, is it? (Not putting you down. I'm impressed with how much you do know, and I couldn't ever learn a second language if my life depended on it.)

The reason I ask is because this doesn't make sense to me, and I don't think you're unintelligent or senseless. I think you simply don't have a full grasp of the English language yet.

I can tell you that it's coming off like your desperately trying to get people to believe you, but we can't believe what isn't understandable to us to believe -- and that's based on your inability to use English conversationally yet. Have you considered doing the same thing you're doing now on a forum of people who speak your native language? I'm guessing that would be an Arabic or Barber language site. (I can't speak either, so I'm not entirely sure if it's all that different.)

Therefore since both positions cannot be reconciled, we can clearly see the Jesus of the Bible and the Jesus of the Quran, cannot both be the same person. In addition to these differences, the Jesus Islam and the Quran have other differences, which can be clearly seen.
Of course I well know these difference! But according to everything I have read about witnessing to Muslims, we need to start with Isa! Because they believe Isa was sinless and is coming again as the Messiah, we can start there, and move to what the Bible actually says, and even how the Qur'an is wrong about things like the Trinity, which it is written in the Qur'an that Christians believe it is God, Mary and Jesus. So one glaring error leads to many more, and showing how Isa is truly God, and died on the cross.

One of the big objections Muslims have is that God would never have made himself a man. Yet, if we carefully show them what the Bible says about Isa (Jesus) they will likely say the Bible is corrupted.

So there are two ways to witness. One is to show them the truth in the Bible which they believe is corrupted. The other is to show them the truth of Jesus in the Qur'an and the errors in the Qur'an.

Both ways work! Because in the end, it is the Spirit of God that convicts, and changes hearts and souls.

I took World Religions from a missionary to Indonesia, who ministered to Muslims and head hunters. He said the head hunters were easy to reach with the gospel. But the Muslims needed friendship, and a witness. Then they would come to him, and ask him about dreams they had about Jesus. That would open the door to actually explain the gospel. Because many got saved. And that professor, by the grace of God on leave from missions the year he was teaching and I took his course, is back in Indonesia making friends and preaching the gospel.

I have read in many places, and in books that many Muslims have dreams about Jesus, and if someone is around to explain them they get saved. Except one case I heard of, where just the dreams saved a man. He waited for years for a missionary to come, and to give him a Bible.

Our real job is to make friends, and pray for these Muslims. As the videos clearly show, God is sovereign and he can save anyone he wants.

My prayer is that Bahous will see the love we have for him and individual raised under a false religion, and he can connect the dots and realize God is calling him to faith in Jesus Christ.

For the OP..............

What a great video! She discovered what Jesus was like by reading Matt 5:43-45.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." Matt 5:43-45

Are we loving our enemy here? Or are we retaliating and taking vengeance which belongs to God?

I know that Islam is a radical, violent religion. But when we act the same as a Muslim, full of hate and unforgiveness are we truly following Christ??

What I ask muslims is why they have a liar for a great prophet. Jesus said He is the son of God, yet they deny it...and they still call Him a great prophet.

And that second statement is not accurate. He can save anyone, but He gives us freedom of choice. He never makes us serve Him.
So altho He can save anyone He wants, He doesn't. He wants everyone to be saved and yet those that reject Him don't get it.
You made it sound like He picks and chooses. He chose all of us.

No, I do not believe in free choice. When God made himself known to me, there was no choice but to believe. God is sovereign, and he really does save us, not a "choice."

Too many people who think they have a "choice" are the ones that fall away. Because they never really knew Jesus! I am not an Arminian. I do not believe we can choose to know Jesus, nor to walk away from him. Because anyone who "chose" and walked away was never really saved.

"Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began," 2 Tim. 1:8-9

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Eph. 2:8-9

My friend says they pray for the deaths of American soldiers and Jews in the mosque. Another Muslim tells me they pray for jihadis. So I am not convinced that Muslims as a whole are peaceful.

You are too young to remember but after 9/11 there were signs of Muslim approval of the attack on the World Trade Center. Not all Muslims wanted it, but a significant number approved of it.

I think this attitude is self destructive, though, because it is the very reason that some Muslims are seeking Christianity. They know that the religion is corrupted by such behavior. I just hope we can help such Muslims to learn the truth and accept them once they come to faith.

Free will is perhaps a misnomer. We might profit by changing the language to reflect the choice being one of following self will as opposed to following God's will. Self will is of the flesh, and opposes God. It seeks to satisfy the desires and demands of self/flesh/ego whether they are aligned with the will of God or
not.

The choice I am aware of having made was to let go of/stand down from my opposition to God... I repented of my hardhearted, stubbornly stiff-necked attitude toward Him. After that, well actually, even before that, He had been working in me, so after that, He continued His work in me, and the results were exponential compared to before. It was this work in me that made it possible for me to eventually let go of my opposition, even though I held onto it for quite some time.

Jesus calls people to this repentance. God constantly calls us to repentance. The Holy Spirit convicts us that we may repent. Repentance is a choice people make. It does not change the fact that God is the author and finisher of our faith, and that faith is a gift from God. Once I understood Who Jesus was, in light of my own personal experiences, not accepting what He offered made no sense. I gladly accepted with gratitude that which God was offering me.
