I may get caught up in countering lies, but that does not mean I do not have a sense of humor. Boy. Hey boy, I shall call you boy from now on, okay? That was not me asking permission, by the way, I shall just assume it is okay to call you boy because, well, I have decided it. I don't need to check with you at all to see if it is okay, right? Again, I am not asking for confirmation from you. See? I can be really funny.

Boy... hey Boy??? Hmmm... let me ask you something Magenta. How do you know if I am an African American or not? (Black) {head moving left to right} If I am, would you still refure to me as "Boy?" Is it proper for you to call African Canadians "boy" in your country? Here in the U.S. it is not!

So yes Magenta.... you can assume all you want to call me "boy" because you have decided it, and it's okay. And no.... you don't need to "check in with me" to see of it's alright, or ask for my confirmation. Then you go on to say "See? I can be really funny." Well, if I happen to be African American, there is nothing funny at all by calling me "Boy"!!! So if you wish to call me "boy" from here on, that is your choice.

In closing, you'll never know if I am Black or not, and all I can suggest, is to let your conscience as a Christian guide you.

p.s. How about the rest of you, ya'll okay with her calling me "Boy?"

I will say it again: the concept of purgatory has nothing at all to do with atonement of sins or even with salvation. The idea of indulgences does have to do with alleviating the burdens of those in purgatory -- but every one of those people is already saved; has already had their every sin washed away.
What is it about Jesus' death and Resurrection that's not good enough for our complete forgiveness and immediate entrance into God's Kingdom upon our earthly death and thus the need for purgatory? Actually that's a rhetorical question since purgatory does not exist, but I'm interested in the heresy you present. Have at it.

I guess you missed the point that it is not okay for you to decide it is okay to call people something just because it is okay for you to call other people that very same thing with their permission and blessing. Gosh. Is it always so very difficult trying to get through to you?

No, I do not agree..If there was knowledge of the history of the slavery, and how the men were called "boy!" If you were African American, I see where this would be wrong. If you are not African American, I would still see it as demeaning, exhalting oneself over the other..unless the word boy was used to describe "That boy over there, was playing with that girl!"

And in reguards to world war two, Albert Einstein wrote: "Only the Catholic Church protested against the Hitlerian onslaught on liberty."

Throughout the Holocaust, Pius XII was consistently besieged with pleas for help on behalf of the Jews.
In the spring of 1940, the Chief Rabbi of Palestine, Isaac Herzog, asked the papal Secretary of State, Cardinal Luigi Maglione to intercede to keep Jews in Spain from being deported to Germany. He later made a similar request for Jews in Lithuania. The papacy did nothing.

Within the Pope's own church, Cardinal Theodor Innitzer of Vienna told Pius XII about Jewish deportations in 1941. In 1942, the Slovakian charge d'affaires, a position under the supervision of the Pope, reported to Rome that Slovakian Jews were being systematically deported and sent to death camps.

In October 1941, the Assistant Chief of the U.S. delegation to the Vatican, Harold Tittman, asked the Pope to condemn the atrocities. The response came that the Holy See wanted to remain "neutral," and that condemning the atrocities would have a negative influence on Catholics in German-held lands.

In late August 1942, after more than 200,000 Ukrainian Jews had been killed, Ukrainian Metropolitan Andrej Septyckyj wrote a long letter to the Pope, referring to the German government as a regime of terror and corruption, more diabolical than that of the Bolsheviks. The Pope replied by quoting verses from Psalms and advising Septyckyj to "bear adversity with serene patience."

On September 18, 1942, Monsignor Giovanni Battista Montini, the future Pope Paul VI, wrote, "The massacres of the Jews reach frightening proportions and forms." Yet, that same month when Myron Taylor, U.S. representative to the Vatican, warned the Pope that his silence was endangering his moral prestige, the Secretary of State responded on the Pope's behalf that it was impossible to verify rumors about crimes committed against the Jews.

Wladislaw Raczkiewicz, president of the Polish government-in-exile, appealed to the Pope in January 1943 to publicly denounce Nazi violence. Bishop Preysing of Berlin did the same, at least twice. Pius XII refused

PS, while the rest of you consider how you might weigh in on whether or not it is okay for fordham to call someone a name that is not their name, but he justifies it because others have given him permission to do so with their blessing, how about you consider also whether it is okay for a 59 year old man to call a 60 year old woman, girl? And then weigh all that against the self righteous indignation you have just witnessed them evince because they were called something they may take exception to for any number of reasons.

yep... just another impotent non-answer remark from valleyant

what a load of rubbish. everyone knows that the Roman Catholics cosied up to Hitler. and to suggest that others did not protest is mischievous. It is typical of the deceit of the Roman Catholic church.
Really..... tell that to all family members of the tens of thousand dead Catholic soldiers in world war two that gave their lives and limb so you could have the freedom to bash their faith. if it wasn't for them, there's a pretty good chance the Nazi's would be doing their goose-step in main street Britain today, and you'd be flying the swatika instead of the Union Jack! What an ungrateful lot you are Valleyant!

my... my... how soon one can forget

"from henceforth, (says fordman) all generations shall call me a blessed nuisance."
grow up Pop's. Sheesh!

p.s. you okay with Magenta calling me "Boy" even if I may or may not be Black?

Magenta, I love your endurance.
When a soldier goes to war there will be injuries.
Stand STRONG the Gospel of peace.
Use your shield.
but move forward across the battle lines.
You are Gods own.

Tell me epostle, how do you contact God?

Do you go to His house and ring the bell?
Do you send Him a letter through the Mail?
Do you send Him a telegram?
Do you send Him an E-mail?

We contact God by Praying to Him. Even if you are just talking to Him, you are still praying to Him.

Tell me epostle, how do you contact Mary?

Do you go to Her house and ring the bell?
Do you send Her a letter through the Mail?
Do you send Her a telegram?
Do you send Her an E-mail?

You epostle are contacting Mary by Praying to Her.

If Mary is in Heaven as you Catholics teach, the ONLY way to contact Mary is by Praying to Her!

Contacting Mary is any way is Idolatry!

Exodus 20:3
[SUP]3 [/SUP] You shall have no other gods before Me.

1 Corinthians 10:14
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 Corinthians 5:11-13
[SUP]11 [/SUP] But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
[SUP]13 [/SUP] But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

Ephesians 5:5-7
[SUP]5 [/SUP] For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Therefore do not be partakers with them.

We are to flee from Idolatry and we are to have NOTHING to do with any so-called Brother who is an Idolater.

Galatians 5:19-21
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
[SUP]20 [/SUP] idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
[SUP]21 [/SUP] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Those who practice Idolatry will not inherit the kingdom of God. No Catholic will ever enter into Heaven who follows Mary.

Technically, you ARE a boy. You're a male. And Magenta is a girl, because she's female. :) I've been called alot worse than "girl" or "woman." O_O lol

Not being catholic but a Christian I visted a catholic assembly. I asked that man in expensive robes why they didn't have a baptistery. He stated that it was a poor community and people couldn't afford it. I was escorted out after a few other concerns.
You know, looking up at that very high cathedral ceiling and $1,000s stained glass windows.
I was not encouraged to come back for pointing out Gods word compared to this assembly's actions.
