They were from Wisconsin. This makes two married couples who did this and killed their child.
Did what, believed in God or believed in the Word? Do you?

I am just saying that you think the parents in the article you cited, "who believe that God alone has the ability to heal the sick, prayed for her recovery..." are guilty of killing their child, or doesn't that qualify for the promise written in John 14:14?

You know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about that which you post, Pharisee.
So are you saying that nobody should believe in what they read in the Bible?

Who so is simple, let him come hither, and to him that is destitute of wisdom, she saith,
come, and eat of my meat, and drink of the wine that I have drawn!
Forsake your way, ye foolish, and ye shall live: and walk in the way of understanding!
(Proverbs 9:4-6 gnv)

I believe every word in the Bible. I may not understand every verse, but I still believe it. The 11 year old in Philadelphia died from keto acidosis, which is where you get very sick from high blood sugar levels over an extended period of time. I am a lab tech who has worked in hospitals for ~ 20 years, so I know what I am talking about here. What is needed is an insulin drip and prayer. Not either/or, but both. It’s not wrong to use meds God has given man the ability to make to improve our lives. In fact, it’d be rather stupid not to use them. Never use prayer in lieu of meds, but use meds with prayer.

God did not create the earth for nothing - not its plants, not its creatures, not its minerals.
we ought to be thanking God for these things, tending to & making wise use of them - not cursing them, and not abusing or neglecting them.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving
(1 Timothy 4:4)

isnt alcoholic wine just rotten grape juice? thats why it smells so bad?
Sniff a glass of wine, and then sniff a cluster of mouldy grapes. They have completely different smells. The first is pleasant; the second is gross.

Alcoholic wine is not just rotten grape juice. Fermentation involves the conversion of sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide by the action of yeast. Rot is the breakdown of all solids by the actions of moulds and bacteria. They both have their place, but they aren't the same thing at all.

I disagree , Jesus turned the water into wine at the wedding .. For years I believed the grape juice hype and was fine with it , but I came to the conclusion that I was wrong ..
8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
That passage is conclusive evidence that the wine Jesus made from water was choice wine and definitely had an alcohol content. Otherwise, what difference would it make if the wine was just grape juice because even if you drink a lot your sobriety would not be impacted. You would certainly be able to tell the difference between Welch's grape just verses a store brand.

I don' t doubt that,

Never use prayer in lieu of med, but use meds with prayer.
I think you got it backwards, but if that is what you believe then I am sure there isn't anything I could say that would alter what you believe God has told you.

However, from an paper published by the Center of Ethics at Harvard University, it states:

Few know that systematic reviews of hospital charts found that even properly prescribed drugs (aside from misprescribing, overdosing, or self-prescribing) cause about 1.9 million hospitalizations a year. Another 840,000 hospitalized patients are given drugs that cause serious adverse reactions for a total of 2.74 million serious adverse drug reactions. About 128,000 people die from drugs prescribed to them. This makes prescription drugs a major health risk, ranking 4th with stroke as a leading cause of death.

And that was in 2014. source:https://ethics.harvard.edu/blog/new-prescription-drugs-major-health-risk-few-offsetting-advantages

While I don't look for signs, I don't ignore them when i see them either.

Do you realize that Cayenne (medical grade) pepper is a pain reliever and shuts off the nerve connections, numbing them? Do you realize that also hot/cold water can also be used in such an way?
My late second wife had severe debilitating psoriatic arthritis with constant horrible pain. Believe me, cayenne pepper and hot and cold water does not cut it. Narcotics at least gave her some quality of life. Alcohol is also a pain reliever. I agree with posthuman. Your credibility is less than zero.

So, how do you interpret passages to arrive at this conclusion? If the word for wine is used in a positive context, do you say, "Oh, that must mean grape juice", but if in a negative context you say, "that must mean fermented wine"? Even though it is the same word?

The Psalms say that God gave man wine to make his heart merry. What kind of wine is that?
It sure ain't grape juice. To avoid confusion about grapes perhaps we should all partake of apple wine. In moderation of course. Of course Eve ate the apple so apples are bad too right up there with grapes which bad people make into wine so they can make merry.

What I meant is that prayer and meds/meds and prayers, should go together.

The question is whether drinking alcoholic beverages is considered righteousness.

Your credibility is less than zero.
I thought one's credibility could only go lower than zero is if they couldn't say that drinking alcohol is righteousness but claims all unrighteousness is sin.

Communion as recommended biblically? Bread and Wine... This is righteous! Quit splitting hairs. Zoom out and focus on the gospel.
