Do you know where the term rock and roll came from. It was derived in the nightclubs back in the 50 ies. As a saying of exactly what it means rocking and rolling.

Kerry,

re: "...its not what I think."

That implies that you personally think that being tortured day and night for eternity is not appropriate. So why do you try to find ways to make scripture say that it is (appropriate)? Show me a scripture that says that folks (other than possibly the devil) are going to be given eternal life and then tortured 24/7 for eternity.

Mark 9 42-45 enough said. Or do you also pick and chose what sounds good to you. will you stand and call Jesus a liar. As many have on this thread.

Romans 6:23 KJV
(23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This verse contrasts the destiny of both the wicked and those who accept the gift of God, life and death. Those who teach eternal torment then the wicked do not die and this verse does not tell the truth. Only in Christ is life and those in the end who are not in Christ cannot continue to exist because they will not have Christ.

Wanna see signs and wonders?
Rock and roll...
"Therefore thus saith the Lord of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

Can you hear me - Enrique Iglesias (lyrics) - YouTube

Imagine Dragons - Hear Me (Lyrics) - YouTube

Renegades of Funk Rage Against the Machine Lyrics - YouTube

"Behold yourself among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you."

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Eternal torture calls God wicked, and those of us who preach resurrection instead of a cross, are eating locusts and wild honey.

To me this is a blasphemy. Christ is God. He created the Paradise, let alone being there later than a mere creature.
If you're saying Jesus' body is beaten to get there, that might be acceptable.
ALTER2EGO -to- LEONARD RONALDO:
You are talking trinity. There are no scriptures in the Judeo-Christian Bible that support that teaching. Below is the weblink to my thread where the trinity dogma is being discussed.

People here who have been arguing back and forth doesn't even argue the position of the OP. lol
Are you a Jehovah Witness or Muslim? If you believe Christ is not God, don't claim to be Christian in your profile. at least claim to follow God.
Now are you sure you want me to answer you in this thread or you are gonna make a new thread? Make sure ask one by one next time. Christ's deity and Trinity is a different topic.

Michael read this:

“(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)” (Eph. 4:9-10)

What does "descended first into the lower parts of the earth" mean to you?

ALTER2EGO -to- SUNDANCE:

The Bible makes it clear that Jesus was in a tomb above ground.

"{1} On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the memorial tomb [of Jesus] early, while there was still darkness, and she beheld the stone already taken away from the memorial tomb. {2} Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, for whom Jesus had affection, and she said to them: 'They have taken away the Lord out of the memorial tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.' {3} Then Peter and the other disciple went out and started for the memorial tomb. {9} For they did not yet discern the scripture that he must rise from the dead. {10} and so the disciples went back to their homes. {11} Mary, however, kept standing outside near the memorial tomb, weeping. Then, while she was weeping, she stooped forward to look into the memorial tomb {12} and she viewed two angels in white sitting one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had been lying." (John 20:1-3, 9)

Notice that verse 12 clearly says that the body of Jesus had been lying in the tomb. Remember, the tomb was above-ground. Therefore, the expression "lower parts of the earth" is figurative speech for the common grave of mankind.

Sundance lol.
As she is banned now; I think next time we should ask firstly whether the OP even believes the basic premise of Christianity.
I saw Muslims come here, at least they are honest and don't claim to be Christian.

What kind of mindset do you need to be so blind you can't see that the trinity comes directly out of the pages of the bible? Well, I guess if you are a Jehovah's Witness this is possible, because they have altered every scripture that shows Jesus is God. Even so, you have to be willing at some point to buy into the nonsense peddled by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

The trinity doctrine has been around since the beginning of the church. Then a shoes salesmen decides to start a bible study group that denies the trinity and denies Jesus is God. The JW's have been with us since. Lies straight from the pit of hell, deceiving many!

What kind of twisted logic is this??

Jesus' body was above ground so therefore "lower parts of the earth" is figurative?? How can a sane person jump to that conclusion unless they are spiritually blind and lack any sense of discernment??

Does JW still believe Jesus was actually Michael the Archangel?

Michael the chief messenger is,
when you are caused to marvel - "who can possibly be like God?"
And it speaks inside some people quite often.

Many things including the man Jesus, are "Michael"

Not a JW, or any other denomination for that matter.
A messenger is much much bigger than what people think.
Any time something causes you to glorify God's magnitude, "Michael" is speaking to you.
Whether it's Jesus, a bible verse, a butterfly, a hurricane, the universe, etc.
I wasn't trying to "man"-ify Jesus by the way. Figure of speech.

The messenger "Michael" is simply the question "who is like God?!"
