Well, thanks for your professional, medical opinion there Doctor. Oh wait, you're not a doctor? Oh pardon me. In that case I'll follow the advice of my primary health care professional since he's graduated college with a BS in molecular biology, then went to medical school and completed residency to become an MD and has been in practice for 15 years. However, thanks for your opinion and an obscure YouTube video. Thumbs up for you!
Lol that reminds me. My kid was in the hospital and the doctor gave him medicine for asthma, but his dad asked God and He said it was pneumonia. He had no asthma. So I say to her: take another picture. It's no asthma, his dad says it's pneumonia.
So she says: oooh dad said it? Well I might as well hang my books and stethoscope in the willows then. Hey but he was right and she did it.

We're not in high school anymore, so ten years isn't "a lot older than you." And since Lost Sheep hasn't spent his life looking up conspiracy theories, he's more educated than you.

And you have one huge "ill effect" but simply ignore it.
Well even being at the age of 60 wasn't that old until lately. Now everywhere I look, that mostly everyone has some type of ailment, but it was never like this in the beginning. And so the pharmaceutical companies are making a lot of money since the bio-tech corporation has merged with them. One makes the products that causes these ailments and while the other make them dependents of something that they did not need in the first place. I noticed that trolls always trying to throw up the word conspiracies to detour others from the truth, but as it says in the scriptures, If they are not with me, that they does everything that is against my standards. It is in man's nature to conspire.

Proverbs 16:27 A scoundrel plots evil, and on their lips it is like a scorching fire.

Proverbs 24:8 Whoever plots evil will be known as a schemer.

Proverbs 12:20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.

Here's someone that know the brain... Fast forward 54 minutes into this video and she will explain about certain meds.

There's a lot of people that is on this site that aren't whom they says that they are, but if they keep the deception going, then they will have more problems in their life.

This video is the non-biblical nonsense of thinking that controlling your mind or what you speak means you will be healthy. It is utter lies and God always uses all things together for good. (Romans (8:28) You need to read this link concerning her trajectory of following the likes of Schuller and his "possibility thinking."

Dr C. Edward Pitt | Faith, Hope, Love, Science.

I would also also urge you to consider getting some lessons in English grammar.

In another post you said "You has" Second person singular or plural is always "you have" in English, in the present tense. I noticed this several times, and it really shows a need to upgrade yourself. And that would be consistent with the person you are following, who you seem to think is educationally qualified, when in fact she has some Mickey Mouse degrees that have nothing to do with neurology or cognitive thinking.

Look, she is very well known scientist; she has been studying the mind for a very long time. Why doesn't you show any remorse of trying to slander a strong woman of God for a measly ole' check. You will betray someone over for some money and you are on this Christian's site pretending to be a Christian. that post that you had posted was recently posted, showing that the internet trolls are trying to defame her because she is telling the truth about meds. But you cannot explain why the U.S. military doesn't allows someone that is taking psych drug to enlisted? Even the military doesn't approve of these drugs. But go ahead and pull up some more lies...

All this stuff intrigued me coming from the medical field and having dealt with many drugs in my past so I had a desire to be a Berean and check stuff out.

I did some looking on-line about Dr. Caroline Leaf and here are her credentials :

DR. CAROLINE LEAF’S DEGREES

University of Cape Town South Africa Degree of Bachelor of Science (Logopaedics) - December 1985

University of Pretoria South Africa Masters in Communication Pathology with distinction/cum laude - June 1990

University of Pretoria South Africa Doctor Philosophiae with specialization in Communication Pathology With distinction/cum laude and academic honors - May 1997

I didn't know what a cognitive neuroscientists was so I had to look that up too.

( I can tell you that what Dr. Leaf says about the brain cells being toxic and changing is totally accurate as I sat in on a talk from one of the top psychiatrists in Montreal in 2014 and he showed us pictures of the diseased brain cell that had been affected by negative thinking and how the cell changes when it becomes a healthy thought again )

Here is what Brown's university says about cognitive neuroscience.

Introduction

Cognitive neuroscience is the study of higher cognitive functions in humans and its underlying neural bases. By definition, it is an integrative area of study drawing principally from cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, and linguistics. There are two broad directions which can be taken in this concentration—one is behavioral/experimental and the other is computational/modeling. In either case, the goal is to understand the nature of cognition from a neural perspective.

Here is the link for Brown's University...It appears to be a legitimate science discipline that is offered by many universities around the world including M.I.T.

Cognitive Neuroscience Concentration | Cognitive, Linguistic & Psychological Sciences (CLPS)

It would appear the person that made the internet article up just doesn't agree with Dr. Leaf's views and thus like most internet blogs - attack the person that had different views then the blogger. It's a common trait unfortunately.

For a Christian, you sure don't act like one. You seem pretty hateful towards anyone who doesn't agree with you. I pity you, really I do. You are exactly the type of Christian I don't want to be, and exactly the type of Christian that makes me question the beliefs I hold. In fact, people like you make me throw up in my mouth a little bit because of how hypocritical you are in your behaviors contrasted with how pious you act towards others when the lights of truth aren't shining directly upon you.

It's really no wonder agnostics, atheists, and secular folk make fun of "christians" as if they were circus clowns. Look in the mirror and see yourself. Based on your behavior, I'd make fun of you and mock you too. In fact, if I were ever unfortunate enough to be in a church with you, I'd be more apt to spit in your face than I would to shake your hand.

Although my company **company name and hyperlink removed** has had a lot of success using Facebook’s video ad platform, there is one area within the world of online advertising that has been quite a learning experience: trolls.
Trolls are the people that hide behind their computer screens and spew negativity throughout the Internet, or in this case, in the comment section of your online ads. So, do you let the comments remain and leave them alone, do interact with the trolls through via the comments or do you just delete them? 3 Options for Dealing With Internet Trolls

At one time heroin and cocaine were both precribed for medicinal purposes, they come from plants too. In fact, cocaine, methamphetamine, and pcp (angel dust) are all still legal schedule II substances prescribed (abiet rarely) here in the US. When I was in college I was in a car accident and was injected with diamorphine (pharm grade heroin) and when I had my wisdom teeth removed I was given ketamine. I literally had an out of body experience during that precedure. Right now, clinical trials are going on treating soldiers coming back with PTSD with Ecstasy, which will probably be legal within ten years. All of this while a plant called cannabis which has never killed anybody is still illegal. *sigh

ROFL. Punk, I'm not some paid Internet troll. I'm just a middle-aged ex-con seeking Jesus that doesn't put up with crap from anybody and isn't afraid in the least about calling people out on their bad behavior. I've taken lives with my bare hands, so standing up to some dork who knows a few obscure quotes of Scripture and reading their pedigree in front of everyone isn't an issue for me.

I'm really sorry you are so insecure that you feel the need to try and pick fights on the Internet. Do you not have any friends? Do you not have anybody who loves you? Is your life that empty? Are you longing for human interaction but you can't figure out how to do it so you just lash out at people because eve a fight is better than being ignored? I'm so sorry. Really I am. Maybe if you'd develop some personality and the ability to talk to people with some respect, people would like you better. As it is though, you're just more white noise to deal with. Boy I run into a lot of that on this site. Sad. I didn't know that this website had a redirect page from
www.wehateanyonethatdoesntagreewithusandwillqoutescripturelikeajackass.com to the main page of this website. Interesting.

Of course cognitive neuroscience is valid. I never said it wasn't. What I said, was that her degrees (and I did look them up!) have little to do with cognitive neuroscience. What is Logopaedics? It Is speech therapy. An excellent and practical clinical degree. Of course, in North America, you learn it as a Master's degree, but we can let that go.

Her Master's and Ph.D's are in Communiction Pathology, which Wiikapedia defines as:

"Speech-language pathology is a field of expertise practiced by a clinician known as a Speech-language pathologist(SLP), also called speech and language therapist,[SUP][1][/SUP] or speech therapist, who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing disorders."

So I will say, if I ever needed a speech pathologist, I wouldn't hesitate to go to the highly qualified Dr. Caroline Leaf.

What I am missing are two things:

1. Any kind of training or experience in the field of cognitive neuroscience.

2. Any kind of training or experience in correctly using the Bible - ie good hermeneutics and interpretation, and knowledge of Greek and Hebrew.

This woman is setting herself up as an expert, in a field she has not trained in. On top of it, according to the video enlightenment posted, she is speaking all over the world in churches. She is stringing together the Bible with a bunch of concepts in psychology, a subject she is not qualified in.

The thing is, if she just wants to talk about some ideas she has learned in her Word Faith church, and people understand that is where she is coming from I don't have a problem with it. OK, I do, because the Word Faith is a total heresy. But I digress. Suffice it to say, if she was above board, I would argue with the doctrine not against the person.

But because she is billing herself as a Ph.D expert, then I have the right to examine what her degree is in, and how she uses it. And she is not using any of her degrees, except maybe some Pysch 101 courses that all Arts undergrads seem to have. (Yes, I do have it!)

Then there is the need for a real understanding of how to interpret the Bible. I have seen so many lies and bad theology from the Word Faith people in this forum, it drives me crazy! I'm not talking about classic Pentecostalism. I am talking about Ken Hagin, down to Kenneth Copeland, moving to everyone from quacks like Benny Hinn, nonsense like the Toronto and Pensacola Blessings, through to Joyce Meyers, Joel Osteen, and on and on. The ear ticklers of this generation.

Which from what I heard on the video that was posted, she is yet another ear tickler.

That's all, I'm done!

In the scriptures it says that God has given us herb for medicinal purposes. I know someone that was in the Canadian forces; and he told me that they had sent him down to south America; and he told me that he used to chew the leaves on the cocaine plants, but it wasn't addictive, but gives the same affects. He also said that you can chew it for hours and still gives out a long lasting effects than the powder cocaine. He was wondering why doesn't they legalize it since it is not addicting and real cheap to harvest; and he said that no one better not be caught sneaking a seed or an leaf into their country. I guess that they doesn't want no one to know that it is harmless and has the same effects but a longer lasting as the powder cocaine. But it says that we should be sober minded, because of the devil is near.

Who's qualify to unlock the seal... The spirit is the only one that brings the word to life. I doesn't know if you have noticed, but as people discussed the scriptures and cipher or discerned the true meaning of the verses; I noticed that the online scriptures sites has changed it to what that person has solved. there's some Biblical scholars that read through these posts to get a clearer understanding of what is the true meaning of the verses. And so, if Biblical scholars are fishing around for more insight on the word, then she fits right on in as everyone else. And so, if she ask for the spirit to guide her, as it says, that they will receive.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

So she says: oooh dad said it? Well I might as well hang my books and stethoscope in the willows then. Hey but he was right and she did it.
Other side of this story. (This sounds terrible, but I'm still chuckling over it because he's going to be fine.)

Hubby is wrong so infrequently, I started keeping tabs over the years. He averaged being wrong once every 10 years. He was wrong two years ago, so I've been assuming he's got a few more years before being wrong again. (Obviously, we disagree enough that I keep track. I'm always sure I'm right, but he's right so often, I don't know why I have to check myself sometimes. lol)

Nine days before Thanksgiving, something felt wrong. He knows heartburn and he knows indigestion, but this felt different. So, like most of us would do, he googled the symptoms. I mentioned "heart attack," but Google clearly told him it was anything but that. He kept getting worse, until that Saturday he was willing to have me take him to the ER. (I haven't driven the car with him in it since 1991. He's a horrible backseat driver, so it's big he let me drive.) By the time we got to the hospital he couldn't talk because he needed to breathe, so the ER doctor asked me.

Along with everything else, I told him it can't be a heart attack because Google said it couldn't be. The doctor tried to hide the look he made at that point, and I start realizing exactly how stupid that sounded. Hubby is rushed upstairs to the cardiac unit, and the cardiologist talks to me. I told him the same thing and he made the exact same face, before I realized that has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever said TWICE! lol

Not only did he have a heart attack, he was having one as I was explaining that he can't be wrong. Google said so.

In the last month I finally talked to hubby about that. I usually go along with what he says, (because he's only wrong once a decade lol) but he is NEVER allowed to diagnose himself again. And he gave a combination sheepish-boy face and a yeah-I-totally-agree face. lol

As someone who is forever getting stuck on there, their, and they're, (I understand the difference, but I still type the wrong one often enough), I think we should start a trend where that is how to spell all three of those words! Who's with me theiyr're? lol
