And they worshipped the dragon[devil] which gave power unto the beast:
and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast?
who is able to make war with him?

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as
the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and [the dragon]
gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom,

and to return.

· The First Resurrection: Christ first, then The Righteous at His return

(i.e. at the end of His reign)

this would be incorrect, bible says we reign [with him] on earth

That is according to human my brother Ahwatukee :happy:

Perhaps Christ Jesus want to show us more want us to know the evil things Revelation: 2. 24. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

That reminds us of this verses
Matthew: 24. 11. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 15. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
`∞` . ... 42. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 44. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49. And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50. The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom,
and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night,
hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

-Paul hoped to recieve the promises given to the twelve tribes of Israel

And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:
let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh,
for it is nigh at hand;

And I that am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee
to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.

This was Christ's promise, that His Apostles would eat and drink at His table (the Lord's Supper) and would have full authority over His people (would sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel). This they did of course in the years following the resurrection.

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night,
hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews
What was Paul's hope for His people? That they enter under the kingly rule of God and be transported into the Kingly Rule of His beloved Son (Col 1.13). The hope of the Jews was to enter under Messiah's reign, which they would do when they yielded to Jesus Christ.

-Paul hoped to recieve the promises given to the twelve tribes of Israel
What was the hope that Paul was proclaiming to the Jews? It was that the messiah had come and they should enter under His present rule.

And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
So the New Jerusalem, the people of God, consisted of both believing Jews and believing Gentiles made one in Christ.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.
And that is what we now are, kings and priests who SHALL reign with Him on earth even now.

may we ask again please
Question: how come there's no written record of "LUCIFER"
IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?
There is...

Observing the classic definition…

הילל= “hêylêl”

“hêylêl” definition:

Masculine noun. (Strong’s #H1966; TWOT #499a). Shining one, light-bearer, morning star, Lucifer; of the king of Babylon and Satan (figuratively).

It comes from the root, “halal” (#H1984; TWOT #499/500), which means the giving off of light by celestial bodies; to shine, to flash forth light, to praise, boast, be boastful, to be boastful, boastful ones, boasters, to act madly, like a madman.

References:
Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (TWOT) Harris, Archer, Waltke, volume 1, pp. 217 - 218
The Complete Wordstudy Dictionary of the Old Testament, Warren Baker, Eugene Carpenter, p. 263
The New Strong’s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible Red-letter Edition, James Strong, LL.D., S.T.D., Hebrew and Aramaic dictionary, p. 17

Compare its usage in Isaiah chapter 14…

Oh shining one, son of the morning, how you be cast down from the heavens! You weakening the nations, you are cut down to the earth. For you have said In your heart, I will go up to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit in the mount of meeting, in the sides of the north. I will rise over the heights of the clouds; I will be compared to the Most High. Yet you shall go down to Sheol, to the sides of the Pit.

To Revelation chapter 12…

And war occurred in Heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels made war, but they did not have strength, nor yet was place found for them in Heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent being called devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers is thrown down, the one accusing them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death. Because of this, be glad, the heavens and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the ones dwelling on the earth, and in the sea, because the devil came down to you having great anger, knowing that he has a little time!

Compare also what Jesus states in Luke, chapter 10…

And He said to them, I saw Satan falling out of Heaven as lightning! Behold, I have given you the authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and on all the power of the hostile one, and nothing shall hurt you, no, never! But stop rejoicing in this, that the evil spirits submit to you. But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.

Context seals the deal.

Observe:

  • Isaiah states that “hêylêl” is cast down from Heaven to earth…just as Revelation states that Satan is cast down from Heaven to earth
  • Isaiah describes “hêylêl” as striving to be like God … “I will be compared to the Most High”…just as Revelation states that Satan rebelled and was the accuser
  • Revelation makes a clear distinction between the Devil (which is cast from Heaven) and Jesus by the phrase “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word”
  • Jesus further distinguishes Himself from Satan by stating “I saw Satan falling out of Heaven as lightning!”...i.e. Satan is compared to “astrapē”, (a flash of light) same as described by the root “halal”
  • “Halal” also imparts to us boastfulness, and acting madly...all clear indicators of Satan’s attributes

Thus…

The contextual usage of “hêylêl” clearly mandates that it refers to Satan, not Jesus Christ.

Further, based upon this evidence, the best rendering for “hêylêl” should not be “Morning Star”…but rather… “Shining one”…

33Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven,
which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples
came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;[ the harvest is the end of the world];
and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom
all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

You really did yourself-in, on this example...as 'His Kingdom' is plainly mentioned as being the world.

If Jesus has an earthy Kingdom, then that means that He is King and reigning as we speak.

Since YOU WILL NOT LISTEN to a word we say, or the Scripture we post; perhaps you will listen to JESUS, When He was talking to Pilate about HIS First COMING and WHY He CAME:

John 18:36 (NKJV)
[SUP]36 [/SUP] Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."
John 18:37 (NKJV)
[SUP]37 [/SUP] Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

BUT in a Prophecy about HIS SECOND COMING, He inspired the Prophet Zechariah clearly to specify that HIS EARTHLY KINGDOM begins immediately after HIS FEET LITERALLY touch on the Mount of Olives, splitting it into a deep Valley.

Zechariah 14:2-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations as He fights on a day of battle.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] You will flee by My mountain valley, for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come and all the holy ones with Him.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] On that day there will be no light; the sunlight and moonlight will diminish.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] It will be a day known ⌊only⌋ to Yahweh, without day or night, but there will be light at evening.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea, in summer and winter alike.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] On that day Yahweh will become King over all the earth—Yahweh alone, and His name alone.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be changed into a plain. But ⌊Jerusalem⌋ will be raised up and will remain on its site from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] People will live there, and never again will there be a curse of complete destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell in security.

We believe what the Word of GOD says, while YOU believe something else.

Still hanging on to your theory. You should know that Zachariah is divided into two sections, as are other of the prophetic Books. Chapter 1-8 is addressing the present circumstance of Israel in building the Temple. Chapters 9-14 is addressing the coming of the Messiah. It is written as an apocalypse in the same way that Revelation is written. There is nothing in Zachariah about some premillennial earthly reign of Christ.

I'm still waiting for the evidence that premillennialism has always been the teaching of scripture. All I see are the misunderstandings of men regarding scripture in developing a theory that has never been a teaching of scripture.

You cite a text that states unequivocally that His Kingdom is NOT of this earth. John 18:36. Christ has ONLY one Kingdom, and that Kingdom by his own words was at hand. The Kingdom is the Church in the Messianic Age, not some mythical earthly reign some time in the future. That Kingdom will not end.

Cassian, do you ever actually thoroughly read any of my posts, before commenting erroneously about what you think I said?

No where did I say anything about a "premillennial earthly reign of Christ". Zachariah CLEARLY points out that HIS Millennial Kingdom begins immediately after the Mount of Olives is spit into huge Valley. THAT IS THE PROOF THAT Earthly Kingdom starts after the Mount of Olives spits as His touch it on His Second Coming. I all the rest of us born again believe, know that is the absolute TRUTH, because that is EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS. Now if you have a problem believing GOD inspired Zachariah to write that down in the correct order, that is a LACK OF FAITH problem that all of SCRIPTURE was inspired by GOD. YOU WILL HAVE TO DISCUSS THAT WITH HIM, not me.

AS FOR HIS NOT HAVING an eternal Heavenly Kingdom, and a 1000 Year Earthly Kingdom, you are totally wrong. You either forgot or you flat DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE ONE GOD the HOLY TRINITY.

Daniel 4:34 (HCSB)
[SUP]34 [/SUP] But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity returned to me. Then I praised the Most High and honored and glorified Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:37 (HCSB)
[SUP]37 [/SUP] Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

The TRUTH has always been in the Scriptures, but it is nearly impossible to see it without becoming Born Again first.

Then please show me the scripture where i can see that we reign just now togehter with the Lord Jesus on earth. Till now you showed only verses which say this for the future. And this I believe. Also you still could not show verses which say said the Satan is bound just now. And this you cant, because there are non of this. It is only possible if you misinterpret verses. But this is no proof for your teaching.

The Son has been visiting mankind all throughout the OT....so your assertion is a non sequitur.

Further, that we are reigning with Christ on earth right now is because Satan is presently bound...which is temporal in nature...that is why it has a time limit of '1K year reign' attached to it.

No one, but you, mentioned that our earthly reigning with Christ involves Him being on earth...as it most certainly does NOT!

We reign with Him by being FREE of the direct involvement of Satan.

I have shown you verse after verse which plainly states that Satan was BOUND at The Cross.

Satan is still bound to this very day.

Praise God for this!

Don't keep giving Satan more power than he has...
