You have indicated that you are a sola scripturists. You have stated that the Bible is the ultimate and final authority for faith and practice. The Holy Spirit does not give individuals revelation. He does guide man to Himself which is His Church. He also guides believers in understanding the application of scripture which is what I Tim 3:15 is all about. But Scripture is not the ONLY thing one can use. It also implies that one actually understand what the Bible means before one can apply it. What most Protestants are doing is determining what it means, then making the application upon what they determiined it meant.

The problem with that is that the meaning has existed for 2000 years. You see, the scriptures were derived from the Oral Tradition which included the meaning. The Holy Spriit did not just hand out Bibles to the early Church and left them to determine what it might mean.

There is a few scriptures that says all we have to do is ask God in prayer and He will give us the understanding by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 7:7, 21:22, James 1:6-8, and others for example.
Understanding has nothing to do with what it means.
The Holy Spirit is NOT repeating the revelation He gave to the Aposltes separately to each individual today. Which is why we end up with the Bible meaning hundreds of different things including the false teaching of dispensational premillennialism.

The reason there are multiple interpretations is because people seek out understanding by other routes instead of putting God and His Holy Spirit first. [/quote] Now that is the first thing that you have stated correctly. Basicly, it is man putting himself as the infallible interpreter of the Bible.

The Catholic Church is no ifferent that you doing what you and all sola scripturists do. The difference is a Pope usually, but sometines with the ascent of the Magisterium making arbitrary dogmas for the Church. Sola scripturist have made it the perogative of each individual to interpret scripture and then declare that their interpretation is what means. Thus right out of the gate you have Martin Luther, and only 15 years later a wholly new and different gospel, both based on scripture and supposedly of the Holy Spirit.

The Catholic church has a number of teachings that do not align with the Word of God, yet claim others are wrong !!![/QUOTE] Any Church does this and denominations are created on this very premise.[/QUOTE]

The Catholic church is not sola scripturist and the Protestant church still follows a number of things the Catholic church started that does not align with scripture.

Protestant reformation movement left the Catholic church and ended up following other apostate teachers such as John Calvin.

The Holy Spirit can only lead and teach others what has already been given by the Lord Jesus and the Apostles who carried His teachings out. To teach other than what was already given from Christ is a false doctrine and gospel.

If you believe scripture has no importance then you can just follow whatever anybody says which is clearly warned of in the Word of God.

Cassian, do you ever actually thoroughly read any of my posts, before commenting erroneously about what you think I said?

No where did I say anything about a "premillennial earthly reign of Christ". Zachariah CLEARLY points out that HIS Millennial Kingdom begins immediately after the Mount of Olives is spit into huge Valley. THAT IS THE PROOF THAT Earthly Kingdom starts after the Mount of Olives spits as His touch it on His Second Coming. I all the rest of us born again believe, know that is the absolute TRUTH, because that is EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS. Now if you have a problem believing GOD inspired Zachariah to write that down in the correct order, that is a LACK OF FAITH problem that all of SCRIPTURE was inspired by GOD. YOU WILL HAVE TO DISCUSS THAT WITH HIM, not me.

AS FOR HIS NOT HAVING an eternal Heavenly Kingdom, and a 1000 Year Earthly Kingdom, you are totally wrong. You either forgot or you flat DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE ONE GOD the HOLY TRINITY.

Daniel 4:34 (HCSB)
[SUP]34 [/SUP]But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity returned to me. Then I praised the Most High and honored and glorified Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:37 (HCSB)
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

The TRUTH has always been in the Scriptures, but it is nearly impossible to see it without becoming Born Again first.
Actually I do read your posts hoping that it will begin to sound like scripture, not all the talking points of the dispensational premellinnail view.

I don't have a problem understanding Zachariah, or Ezekiel or Daniel who are all fulfilled. All of them are pointing the the coming of the Messiah, His first coming. There is NOTHING in the Minor Prophets that even address some future earthly reign of Christ. The founders of the theory misinterpreted scripture and many men beginning with Miller and Scofield in the US with the mdern purveryors of Lindsey, Walvoord, Ryrie, Hagee, and Impe. The current ones are all trying to overcome all the huge number of contradictions that constantly confront the theory because it does not match up to scirpture. It never will match up, it has never matched for the last 2000 years.

You can follow such theories, but they are not what scripture means. The danger is that is distorts what scripture actually does teach.

Ye He will, but NOT WHAT YOU SAY HE WILL DO. To claim that you have 'all faith and trust in the Lord' is to stress that you are a charlatan who knows nothing about yourself. And indeed we have heard your spurious claims before. You are a spiritual bighead who needs to beware lest you fall, and fall hard, You live in loud cuckoo land.

I KNOW He will give me truth. But I am wise enough not to make great claims for myself. Whereas I see through your heresies constantly!!!

LOL your arrogance almost makes me think that Satan has already been loosed to deceive ultimately. But fortunately I know better.
Sorry my brother but I have listened to you and the things you say to know that the doctrine you follow is that of what Augustine taught.

You call me a heretic but Augustine is the one who fell into apostate teaching, and what I have seen you say on here matches exactly what he taught in his apostate 4th century eternal security doctrine.

As you have said falling away is impossible, yet the bible clearly says it will and does happen !!!

Hebrews 2:8 (KJV)

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet.
For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him.

But now we see [not yet all things] put under him.

1 Corinthians 15:27 (KJV)
For he hath put all things under his feet.

But when he saith all things are put under him,
[ it is manifest that he is [excepted] which did put all things under him.]

I told you before, Spiritual Understanding will always sound like foolishness, to someone who is not yet Born Again. A pre-Tribulation Rapture is EXACTLY what HE wast talking about in the Parable of Ten Virgins, when HE told Believers in Matthew's day to START WATCHING NOW, because you do not know what hour or day the Bridegroom is coming. SORRY your theory holds NO WATER.

OH, by the way, ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT (the oil) in their Lamps, will be called out to go the the Wedding of the Lamb.

The Holy Spirit is NOT repeating the revelation He gave to the Aposltes separately to each individual today. Which is why we end up with the Bible meaning hundreds of different things including the false teaching of dispensational premillennialism.
. . .
AND you are from the BIBLE BELT, where most Christians believe in the Calling Out of the Bride before the Great Tribulation begins. You should know better. I was born and raised in Nebraska.

Let me ask you, DO YOU BELIEVE and understand BORN AGAIN at all?

Do you think these verses are JUST MEANINGLESS WORDS ON THE PAGE?

1 Corinthians 2:1-16 (NIV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power,
[SUP]5 [/SUP] so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"--
[SUP]10 [/SUP] but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
[SUP]16 [/SUP] "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

Colossians 1:9 (NKJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; {That is NOT understanding with what lies between your ears, but with a Born Again human spirit.}

Now why do you think you FAIL to understand that Parable of Ten Virgins is all about a pre-Tribulation Calling out of the Bride of Christ to go to the Wedding of the Lamb?

Matthew 25:1-13 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
[SUP]9 [/SUP] But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
[SUP]10 [/SUP] And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
[SUP]12 [/SUP] But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you,
I do not know you.' {The Born Again intimate spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ as LORD, meaning MASTER.}
[SUP]13 [/SUP]
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Just in case you really want to learn what we really believe, instead to the false, twisted misunderstandings that you were taught about our beliefs; here is a thread that I started back in July of 2014, because I got tired of people posting lies about what we believe. I DOUBT if what you think we believe is anything close to what we GENUINELY BELIEVE.

You clearly do not read your New Testament. And wisely. Or else you would have to alter your positions and face up to reality.

Your ideas of 'prophetic time' are Simply unscriptural. What says the Scripture.? YOU HAVE COME TO MOUNT ZION, THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, AND TO INNUMERABLE COMPANIES OF ANGELS IN FESTAL ARRAY.

If THAT Mount Zion is referring to a specific location on earth then I am a Martian time traveller.

We are not talking about the New Jerusalem of Revelation but of the Jerusalem which is ABOVE, the mother of us all ((Gal 4.20 ff) The place where we worship the Father in Spirit and in truth.

Now show me one reference to 'Mount Zion' in the New Testament which demonstrably refers to a specific location on earth (not just in your pedantic mind). There is none, which shows how wild you are in your claims
Oh... but we ARE talking about the Heavenly Jerusalem that is to come DOWN to this earth per Revelation!!!

Some simply don't have the foresight to know the spiritual promise of the city is to fulfilled in final with THE PHYSICAL CITY COMING TO THIS EARTH!!

There comes a savior, a Christ, in every age.
That is Mysticism BS. It's from Gnosticism.

Yes folks, that's right. The occultists like to treat Christ like a Cosmic Force that every two thousand years or so, incarnates into a religious figure on earth. They call them avatars. That's... how they treat our Lord Jesus Christ, as just a regular man like any other man, but imbued with The Christ Spirit, just like Krishna was, Buddha was, Zoroaster was, etc. In other words, they believe Jesus was NOT truly The Son of God, nor "Immanuel" (God with us), for all of those they believe did the same thing Jesus did!

Not only that, but they believe YOU can become your OWN Christ too, that you can be your OWN Jesus and not need Him for your Salvation!!

A very good description of you.

Again I see nothing to show that your view is and has always been the meaning of scripture, the revelation that the Holy Spirit is preserving.

THE CALLING OUT OF THE BRIDE, to go to The Wedding of the Lamb
Two things make it a false teaching.
Your introductory statement states that many Christians do not believe what you are about to say. That is a sine quo non statement that it will be false. The Gospel has only one menaing. The same meaning now as it did when it was first given, not what some man comes up with later, especially 2000 years later.

Secondly it speaks about the rapture of the Church long before the end of time which has never been taught from scripture the view assumes some kind of Kingdom after that the Church will rule with Christ presumably an earthly reign.

I;ll stick with what scripture has always meant, not what some man thinks it aught to mean.

Sorry my brother but I have listened to you and the things you say to know that the doctrine you follow is that of what Augustine taught.
I follow and speak in the light of Scripture. I have never read Augustine. It is good to know that he also was Scriptural.

You call me a heretic but Augustine is the one who fell into apostate teaching, and what I have seen you say on here matches exactly what he taught in his apostate 4th century eternal security doctrine.
And also what Jesus taught in His eternal security doctrine along with Paul - John 6.37-44; 10.27-29; 1 Cor 1.8-9; Phil 2.6;

As you have said falling away is impossible, yet the bible clearly says it will and does happen !!!
It is possible for one who believes in the head to fall away, but not one who believes in the heart, for the salvation of the latter is GUARANTEED by God.

The New Jerusalem is the bride of Christ, the people of God. It is not a physical city. It (they) will come down on the NEW earth, a spiritual earth fitted for spiritual people and a spiritual God. This physical earth will have been done away and burned up to cinders (2 Peter 3).

It really is time you read Revelation more carefully instead of being humbugged by your false teachers.

Our Doctrines are based on what the Word of GOD actually says. HERE ARE SOME MORE SOUND WORDS THAT WE BORN AGAIN BIBLE BELT CHRISTIANS believe Literally.

1 John 2:19 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Matthew 7:13-23 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] "Enter by the narrow gate {Born Again}; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
{Both groups call themselves Christians, but only the one's who entered the Narrow gate of lovingly Receiving Him as LORD, which means MASTER, are truly saved. NO Atheists or Cults are even mentioned here.}
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
{Lifestyle Charactistics as listed in Gal. 5:22-23.}
[SUP]21 [/SUP]
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
{Only those who have willingly out LOVE for HIM submitted to His Lordship.}
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, '
I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
{That inner personal LOVE relationship between Jesus Christ & one who has been Born Again having the Holy Spirit pour the Love of GOD into his or her heart, Rom. 5:5, bringing their human spirit to eternal life.}

My favorite Bible Teaching Church in NEBRASKA is "Indian Hill Community Church" in Lincoln, NE. You would do well to listen to some of Dr. Gil Rugh's Sermons. All of them are FREE MP4 recordings, and he does not believe in copyrighting any of them; as he explained in more than one sermon, "I am not a HUCKSTER of the Word. I am called to give out and teach the Word of God, not to make a profit off of it."

I'm from the so-called "Bible Belt", which I consider a derogatory term coined by liberals outside the South. And I do not believe in Darby's pre-trib rapture idea.

Like Lewis Grizzard, the witty humorist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, once said, "I was born an American, and a Southerner by the Grace of God."

Grizzard also wrote the books, Elvis is Dead, And I'm Not Feeling Too Good Myself, and Chilli Dawgs Always Bark at Night,

VCO first of all I did not do that quote you responded to in Post #1327, as things got jumbled up there and what you were responding to was actually what Valiant said.

As for Post #1335 the quote you are responding to there I did write, and I was in the Catholic church for 5 years and took the RCIA classes. I am well aware what the Catholic church teaches which is why I left after only 5 years do to the many things taught that did not align with the scriptures.

As for 1 John 2:19 that passage is speaking of forms of the spirit of antichrist, not former believers who fell away do to hardships or troubles in their lives. The preceding verse 2:18 shows this, and it is a bad misconception to apply this scripture to all people who do not continue in the faith.

As for Matthew 7:13-23 I like this passage as well because it is one of many that gets rejected or the context twisted by others to make it say other than what it does. The reason for this passage is another that shows that a true believer in Him will be recognized by how they carry themselves and treat others (fruit).

It disproves a person can live a continuous sinful lifestyle of never repenting and still go to heaven as some teach today.

God bless and keep growing in the faith.

Correction, I referred to the "Many who call themselves Christians". The Same MANY who are crying "LORD LORD" when HE Tells them, "I NEVER KNEW YOU."

Every single person being discussed in the following verses, call themselves Christians, but ONLY A FEW REALLY ARE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS who are saved.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:20-23 (NKJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Matthew 22:14 (NKJV)

[SUP]14 [/SUP] For manyare called, but few are chosen."

THESE TRUTHS, have always been in plain sight in our Bibles.
Why is it so few want to hear it?
Why is it so few Pastors want to teach it?

The FEW are those who are truly born again, and they are only those who out of the pure motive of genuine LOVE for Jesus Christ, have willingly surrendered complete control of their lives to Jesus Christ as LORD, which means MASTER.

John 3:3 (NKJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
