I don't know if this would be helpful at all for the discussion, but instead of speaking in broad terms and generalities, how about those who are anti-"Hebrew Roots Movement" ask those of us who are pro-Hebrew Roots some questions about what we believe and do.

I know I'd be up for it.

I will now unsubscribe here, since anyone who likes anything Hebrew is bagged with the Hebrew Roots movement, reminding me of many historical periods past. Shalom

Sorry, JaumeJ, don't think you can escape that easily. You'll get chased down, sucker.... Besides, you've got just as much right in here as anyone else. When did the majority ever mean the majority was right in scriptures? I think the other extreme more accurately represents truth.

I suppose when anyone looks into the Mosaic Law, to understand the spiritual meaning of it all, they automatically become anti-Christ to some proclaiming Christians. how in the world can anyone appreciate the dynamics of our Savior without exploring the detailed spiritual idiosyncrasies of the Levitical/Mosaic law? By denying the Levitical Law, given to us by Moses, and throwing it to the wind, how would we know the shedding of blood is a necessity for the forgiveness of sins to receive the grace of God through salvation? I agree with you, sis, wholeheartedly.
Well Just-me, you can look into it. Just don't decide anything that's different from what they believe. That's when you get into trouble.

Just-me, this is so profound. When I see the picture of the fella blowing the shofar, what I see is that Christ came. I see a religion practiced for thousands of years, where every tiny factor involved that was carried out to truly honor God (I'm not talking about empty worship where the people didn't believe in what they were doing, I'm talking about the one's that did believe, and looked forward to the coming of Christ) was like totally fulfilled by Christ's coming! I see a complete picture! Hence, I love it! Yes, and it does make me want to experience those rituals, because in my mind, I would be doing them in reverence, knowing they had been fulfilled perfectly.

People that do this aren't just doing it because that make them feel better than others! They do this to glorify God. They do this to review in their minds and hearts how God prepared the way for Christ's coming in the hearts of the Jews through these rituals. Now, to those that rejected it, this obviously doesn't include them. I'm talking about those who performed those rituals with full hearts for God combined with those that recognize Christ and realized the fulfillment of that promise.

Yeah, I agree. These Jews come to Christ and we do our best to stomp them too death for their style of worship. This thread has also convinced me how evil that kind of thinking is.
Beautifully said. Truth is always of beauty and love.

This shows you aren't understanding what's being said. The sacrificial laws have been fulfilled and they are not longer practiced. The others are simply practiced as a reminder of what those rituals meant, why they were practiced, which were all about the coming of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach, or whatever you feel led to call HIM, which these Jews have recognized and rejoicing over by repeating these rituals with a full understanding of their meaning now. Isn't that a good thing? Reading through this thread, for some reason, I keep forgetting that.

Jews coming into your church is fine, huh? They can't create their own way of doing things. Maybe they want to be like us modern Christians with at least 2,000 separate denominations all over this world.
lol..

The problem with the church is it wants tradition and meaningless repetition. and does not want a relationship with God.

I grew up steeped in the deep religion, the deep repetition, and the deep conviction that doing these things made you holy.

The NT shows these things do not make us holy, nor do they bring us closer to God. God only gave two traditions in the NT. He replaced the feast of unleavened bread with the Lords supper. Remembering our deliverance from the slaver of sin is way more important than remembering the freedom from egypt!, All that did was show How god gave us the savior through jacob.. Thats why we do not remember this anymore. Jews do not have a need to remember either. Freedom from egypt has no bearing on their eternity.

As for the other stuff. We have a biblical history of people doing these ritual and tradition in the right frame of mind, and knowing they did nto save them. Only to cause MANY to turn these things into a salvic issue. Why do we need messiah when he have these ritual and tradition and LAW which makes us holy. WHy do you think they jews rejected Christ as their messiah in the first place? They did not think they needed an eternal savior. they needed a secular savor to free them from their enemies.

Mark my word, this will happen again.

Finally, where do you think these 200 denominations come from? Different was of doing things, Taking tradition, putting your own mix on them, and forming your own group. Thats the issue with tradition and religion. Look how many different types of jewish religions there were in the time of Christ.?

ALL the law has been fulfilled and should no longer be practiced. Why go back to the old way when it never saved us to begin with. The whole book of hebrews was written warning about returning to tradition and things which could never take away sin.

It is one thing to learn them and understand what they meant, It is another to start practicing them again, Even if it is origionally started in the right frame of mind, again, Over and over, it get twisted and distorted to mean somethign else. And people get legalistic in these things. Satan loves it when people do this. It gives him such great amunition. And he has used this over and over again over the past 4000 years to his advantage!

I really have no intention of joining any religious organization. I just wanted to see where the caring was, and find out more about this movement. I really was born Wesleyan Methodist and married a Lutheran. I am searching for those that love Christ without the warm fuzzies, and cold pricklies, i.e. all those that are truly sincere, knowing that no one is perfect. The Bible says to trust no man, and I don’t. There is a ditch on either side of the straight path leading to the narrow gate. One ditch is legalism and the other is liberalism. The liberalistic ditch turns one over to self-justification without education. The legalism ditch turns one over to self-justification by a form and a fashion, which has no faith at all really. We were accused of being in the Hebrew Roots Movement simply because we wanted to understand what is written in the Bible, including the Mosaic law. I endured condemnation from others in cc before they knew the truth about our quest. THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME FALL FROM GRACE JUST BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW!!!

We have been through more than our share of conflicts and sorrow because of religion. I have found who is and who isn't manifesting the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible says that if you find that I have a fault that there is a way to convince me if I am a sincere person.

Galatians 6:1-8 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For every man shall bear his own burden.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Now, if you really want to know what kind of people we are, our website is It's Not My Battle!
I hear you esp.the trials of doing God's will in those matters. I have found peace in the PERSON of Jesus Christ and His redemptive work and all that that entails as spelled out especially in the Epistles.

hi Shiloah.
personally i`m not interested in dialogue with Jack....i think i mentioned that earlier, yet he continues to post to me.
that`s fine.

just try to use your memory skills a little.
mine`s pretty good.

i collected a number of your previous posts, in context, in response to other posters thoughts and subjects.
quite something.
would you like to gaze into the mirror for a while...

why dont you start addressing the subjects at hand.
can you...i dont know.

by all accounts you are virtually unable to cope with theology proper.
but you have a busy thought life.
and lots of opinions.

and a big mouth.

im starting a WHAT IS JUDAISM thread.
it will by necessity cover the Hebrew Roots Movement
which will necessitate examining Dual Covenant Theology
which means we will have to look at the Noahide Laws.

please help out if you can.
if you cant, please refrain from posting.

I was saved in HS and had been a Christian for about 10 years when I started hearing about the Torah and the Hebrew Roots of Christianity. I started keeping the Sabbath and the Biblical Feast Days about 9 years ago. From there, I started eating kosher and working on some of the other Torah-based Instructions.

I've never put my hope of salvation in nothing less than the life, death and resurrection of Jesus/Yeshua. I'm not Jewish and I don't want to be Jewish. The reason I try to follow the Torah to the best of my ability is to lead a life that is as much of an example of my Savior and the life that He lived, and to walk in practical and physical obedience to the commands that He's set forth for His people to follow.

Zone, I unblocked this one post because my curiosity overtook me. I'll not do that again. I won't answer again either, though I will say first it's hysterical that you accuse me of not staying on topic, when you're gross obsession with demonizing every Jew on this planet as well as anyone that ever speaks of them in a positive way is the only thing you post about. I haven't just seen this, I hear it from other members. I actually felt you were threatening me personally last night. By the way, I keep pepper spray on my night stand. lol. Though my husband keeps a AR15 propped against his side of the bed, so... just saying...

Yes, I'm sure you'll say something horrific back to me, but I won't be reading it. You provoke to the point I'm continually tempted to totally fall into the flesh. And I'll say this straight out. That kind of provocation does not come from the Holy Spirit. That comes straight out of the mouth of Satan.

That way the unsaved curious will know by your love for each other that christianity is real.

I wonder how many people have considered the gentile roots of their faith? I mean after all, faith is what, and only what, it's all about.

The exchanges between Christ and His enemies were not warm and fuzzy. Obviously, I'm not equating myself with Christ. But speaking frankly when continually attacked and seeing others continually attacked is not wrong. Christ, our ultimate example, did the same.

Dear drama queen, please keep your paranoia and manipulative exaggerations to yourself. The world will be a better place because of it. Thank you.
