Anytime you listen to a sermon it’s the same as reading a commentary from John Calvin, Adam Clarke, Matthew Henry, Matthew Poole, or any other person. Sermons preached explain God’s word to ppl.

I dont listen to sermons! I study for myself! I was indoctrinated once it took 17 yrs to break that bondage! I listen to music, share one on one discussions ,pray and study!

Again, pre or post-cross, none can be saved without knowing about the Christ. Pre-cross saved folk looked towards the cross, post-cross saved folk look back to the cross. The cross is central to the gospel, for w/o it, none of us would be saved.
actually Jesus is central to the Bible, actually being introduced in the book of Genesis as God's redemption for mankind

thousands were crucified and they saved no one

what if God had allowed another way for Jesus to die for our sins?

I suppose He could have done so, being God and we would not hear about the cross

the only reason we do, is because Jesus was nailed onto one, BUT He gave His own life and said 'it is finished'

we are to focus on Christ....the Author and Finisher of our faith

I hear so little about Jesus from Calvinists who seem to know more about Calvin then the Savior sent by God to redeem His creation

it's called reality

it is because Jesus died for all

in fact, He died for sinners

when you find one, that is the person Jesus died for

You’re out of bounds with the word of God my friend[Hebrews 10:25]. You say you love God but can’t tolerate God’s ppl, your fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ?

You have no biblical mandate to not go to church and to not listen to sermons the faithful pastors preach.

Unity of the Spirit

Ephesians 4:1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says,

“WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH,

HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES,

AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN.”

9 (Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) 11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, evenChrist, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

You grow in church, not flying solo. There is no mandate to be a rebel Christian, not to listen sermons, not to attend the local body of believers. Your problem is not with Calvinism, Arminiasm, or any other ism. Your problem is with clearly rejecting the word of God in attending a local church, a local body of believers, of whom the Christ is the Head of.

“Therefore, since we are born in darkness and blind to the things of God, as glorious as the theatre of creation is in revealing God as Creator, it is insufficient to save. We need God to reveal himself not only as Creator but as Redeemer, and such a revelation comes in and through the scripture.”
--John Calvin
the very heavens declare the glory of God

there are many instances where a person looking up at them, began to wonder if God does exist

if I am not mistaken, wasn't Calvin also a cessationist?

that would account for the so often noted hard notes he sounded in his judgement of others

forgetting that you cannot save yourself, believing you are chosen above others, does not create a humble heart

it creates the opposite

pride, arrogance, rebellion and self righteousness

follow Jesus. He is meek and lowly of heart and even though He is God, He came into this world as a baby and obeyed the Father in all things

No my friend. Those who die without ever coming to saving faith are never left to God’s mercy, but His justice. He is not merciful to everyone w/o exception, as Paul writes in Romans 9:15 and as Moses wrote in Exodus 33:19. He will have mercy upon whom He will have mercy. It’s His right to do so. He has chosen to have mercy on some, and He has chosen to harden whom He will harden. It’s His right to do so.
What you say in the first sentence is absolute and true, for Calvinists and those who follow Reformed Theology's TULIP formula.
It is not however, what God says. And to think man made doctrine dares say what is without exception as pertains to God's mercy, is further evidence Calvinism and the tenets of TULIP arrived from a depraved mind. Not a benevolent Godly one.

Now, in regards to babies. The Bible is silent on their fate. The whole human race fell when Adam fell, as they were in him when he fell. This includes babies. In 1 Samuel 15:3, God tells Samuel to tell King Saul to wipe out all the Amelekites, even the infants. Only a cruel God would command infants killed if He viewed them as innocent. No babies are born innocent, but sinners in Adam. As for their eternal destination, I go with Genesis 18:25. :)
Not really. As for the Bible being silent on the fate of dead babies.

When Jesus told his Disciples and those who followed him during his ministry that they would to become like little children so as to see the kingdom of Heaven, it stands to reason then that the fate of babies is the kingdom, if we are to emulate their pure innocent being and trust so that we adults may do so as well.

You say you defer to God's report in Genesis 18:25 when you claim babies are born as sinners, which is not scripture.
There is one here who claims the Gospel must harmonize for anyone to make sense of it. And yet, they excerpt scripture from the New Testament out of context so as to sustain their theology, out of context.
That is what you have done here in matters of babies and the Old Testament Genesis verse.
The full context of Genesis is a report about the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah.
To think all babies risk that fate of damnation due to the example of Sodom and Gomorrah is wrong.

As is the false theology that thinks babies are born sinners. No, they are not.
By one man sin entered the world!
Not the babies.

As a matter of fact, the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah actually refutes RT and Calvinism.
So thank you for the reference to their history in the Book of Genesis.
