Do you understand about the sanctuary that God told them to build?
reflection of the temple in Heaven:

Hebrews 8
For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;
[SUP]5 [/SUP]who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]6 [/SUP]But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

i
t continues in Hebrews 9..

[h=3][/h][SUP]11 [/SUP]But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come,[SUP][a][/SUP] with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, [SUP]14 [/SUP]how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? [SUP]15 [/SUP]And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

that the sacrifice of animals purifies the flesh but JESUS blood purifies the spirit and gives eternal life.

They had to bring a sacrifice for their sin to the priest. The sacrifice for our sin is Jesus, He is also the high priest.
Exodus 29:14
  • Exodus 30:10
  • Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
  • Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

The sanctuary had a lamp, Jesus is the light of the world.
They had bread, Jesus is the true bread.

  • John 6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
  • John 6:58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.

  1. Exodus 16:4; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalm 78:24

They had the altar of incense, where they would put put blood, that is our prayers mingled with the righteousness of Christ, that is what makes our prayers acceptable to God.
Exodus 30
[h=3][/h][SUP]34 [/SUP]And the Lord said to Moses: “Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with these sweet spices; there shall be equal amounts of each. [SUP]35 [/SUP]You shall make of these an incense, a compound according to the art of the perfumer, salted, pure, and holy. [SUP]36 [/SUP]And you shall beat some of it very fine, and put some of it before the Testimony in the tabernacle of meeting where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. [SUP]37 [/SUP]But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for the Lord. [SUP]38 [/SUP]Whoever makes any like it, to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people.”

  • Revelation 5:8 [ Worthy Is the Lamb ] Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

  • Revelation 8:3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

  • Revelation 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

just wanted to see if you had it in condensed form with Bible verses and all.

thanks :)

The bible does not mention types of fibers. It simply states you are not to wear clothing made of mixed fibers.
Says we are not to wear clothing of wool and linen. You are reading something into this that is simply not there.

Prove that you are God.
Didn't say there was a question about who said it, I said that if GOD said to do something would you do it and your answer illustrates what I said.

Personally, I would stand on one foot, turn my head to the left and spit through my teeth if God told me to. I would do first and then perhaps ask why later.

Matthew 19:17 KJV
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 14:15 KJV
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:10 KJV
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 2:3 KJV
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 3:22 KJV
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2 KJV
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 KJV
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 12:17 KJV
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 KJV
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

This is overwhelming evidence that the Bible says we are to keep the commandments. To say we do not have to keep the commandments is teaching against the clear word of God. The fact that we are saved by grace through faith does not release us from keeping the law.

Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
John 15:4-5 KJV
(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
(5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Hey, laod, how's that going for you, you know, keeping the commandments :D

Why don't you just let His Spirit lead you, in Love understanding, of Himself being FIRST in your life, and, of others' Loved, SECOND, then, you can throw away that book, you know the one that says, 'Keeping the 613 commands handy' :D

You then have your own reference, right with you, let's call it 'cloud computing.' :D

Why are the 10 commandments referred to as the ministration of death and the ministration of condemnation???
If you follow the ten in letter only surely you will die. If you follow them in the spirit you will live.

MATTHEW 5 [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. [21] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, THOU SHALT NOT KILL; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: [22] BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT WHOSOEVER IS ANGRY WITH HIS BROTHER WITHOUT A CAUSE SHALL BE IN DANGER OF THE JUDGMENT: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

OLD LETTER- Thou shalt not kill
NEW SPIRIT- Don’t even get angry. Call no man a fool. Love one another in thought, word and deed.

MATTHEW 5 [27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery: [28] But i say unto you, that WHOSOEVER LOOKETH ON A WOMAN TO LUST AFTER HER HATH COMMITTED ADULTERY with her already in his heart.

OLD LETTER- Thou shalt not commit adultery
NEW SPIRIT- Do not look on a woman to lust. Keep the law in our mind and spirit. Even in our eyes.

God is a spirit

JOHN 4 [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] GOD IS A SPIRIT: AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.

True worshipers will worship in SPIRIT AND TRUTH

JOHN 14 [15] IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. [16] AND I WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH;

How are we to recieve this Spirit of truth? Keeping Gods 10 commandments

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Galatians 3:2-3

Dear John,

If by the flesh you wish to please God, then, by all means, let the Law be your schoolmaster. Let it be known to you that if you fail in one aspect, if you have fail it all.

If the righteous dead who were under the Law went to Abraham's Bosom until they received justification through the blood of Christ, then do you not think that you, if the Law is your guide, will also go to Hades? Will Christ once again conquer death for those who place themselves under the death penalty of the Law? Is our justification in the Law or Him?

Let us therefore die to the flesh so that we might live through the Spirit.

Chris

P.S. We cannot have two masters.

I would like to learn just one thing from you:

Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?

3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Start reading at Gal.2 to understand the one liner you posted. Gal.3{2-3} has nothing to do with the 10 commandments. Its all about the law of circumcision. Period.

I got this one...

We receive the Holy Spirit by faith of course. Who then receives the Holy spirit?

Act 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Notice the conjunction there? It is a continued thought, keep the Commandments and I will pray to the Father that you receive the Holy Spirit and it will abide with you forever. - note: this is a paraphrase of the KJV

It is written. Have you heard this before? Kinda doubt it. Be careful to whom your ears hear that oppose the written word

You left out the word faith Zone. Very important word.

GALATIANS 3 [23] But BEFORE FAITH CAME, WE WERE KEPT UNDER THE LAW, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. [24] WHEREFORE THE LAW WAS OUR SCHOOLMASTER TO BRING US UNTO CHRIST, THAT WE MIGHT BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH.

Did you go to school? Do you claim you received the faith you claim by another way? No schoolmaster for you? Nevertheless....

ROMANS 3 [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: yea, we establish the law.

Circumcision came long before the law and has nothing to do with works of law that Paul is referring to in Galatians 3:2. Circumcision is not a work of law. It was done to an infant by someone else when he was 8 days old. By saying works of law, Paul is referring to the mindset that is unable to grasp the freedom which we have in Christ, and is constantly trying to justify itself before GOD by doing things.

An unbelieving mind is able to rationalize anything.
