I love the title "keep yourself pure" but not by your own power but through the power of Christ who has clothed you in His love and given you white garments after washing you clean with His blood, walk with His Spirit and learn to bear the good fruit of righteousness through His chastening: learn to love others as God loves you, learn to be patience, speak with kindness, with gentleness reveal to the world God's truth and His Love.......those are the thing I think of when reading your title......lets see if the post contains some of that message...............<enter key is still broken sorry for the long paragraphs>
Keep Yourself Pure!

"Do not lay your hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure" (1 Ti. 5:22).

One of the admonishments that is unheard of in our day stood at the very essence of the early Church. It was the first century Christians, (unlike the 21st century ones) who taught a message of godliness, self-control and purity of heart (Acts 15:9; 1 Tim. 6:3-5; Tit. 1:1; 2:11-14; 1 Pe. 1:22; 1 Jn. 3:3). Many of you have been duped by modern day imposters into believing the Apostle Paul was an ardent sinner who was constantly struggling with inbreed sinfulness, however, this is the exact opposite of what the Scripture teaches and reveals about the true character and conduct of Paul the Apostle (Ro. 6:1-2; 1 Co. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph 5:5-7).
kind of assuming the worst of people? I don't know about you but I know MY God still teaches people about godliness, self control and purity of heart even in the 21st century.....why do you feel the need to attack the church? Why such bitterness? ........... ....
It was Paul that was quick to warn young Timothy that "everyone who names the name of Christ is to depart from iniquity", while instructing him to address his sisters in the faith "with all purity" (1 Tim. 5:2; 2 Tim. 2:19)! Timothy continually was instructed to "be an example to other believers, in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith, purity" and was beseeched to "lay hold of eternal life by pursuing righteousness, godliness, patience and peace" (1 Tim. 4:12; 6:11-12). Furthermore, Paul, made it a point to caution his true son in the faith that "all who desire to live godly will suffer persecution" and charged Timothy to be ready to preach the word at all times and in all seasons (1 Tim. 1:2; 2 Tim. 3:12; 4:1-2).

Why did Paul warn his beloved son in the faith to keep his way pure and to faithfully preach the word? It's because Paul foresaw a day coming where people would no longer endure sound doctrine, but "according to their own desires they would heap up for themselves teachers and turn their ears away from the truth" (2 Tim. 4:3-4). Is this not what has happened in our day? Do you really think the people who profess Christianity can truly divide the word correctly and defend what they believe ( 2 Tim. 2:15)? What’s with all the denominations? How about your pastor? Can you confidently confirm he or she is holding to the pattern of sound words, while teaching doctrine that accords with godliness (1 Tim. 6:3-5; 2 Tim. 1:13)? Think!!!
I have faith that God is working in their hearts and teaching them His ways because it is by HIS power not men's that anyone understands God's laws. I truly believe that people should be able to divide the word correctly and defend what they believe but I have compassion for those who are not yet accomplished in the task and with patience and what wisdom God has given me help them mature as others help me mature and understand God's words and His will. ......................................................
According to Paul, it's the Holy Scriptures that make us "wise for salvation", not men and their seminary learning (2 Tim. 3:15)! Without a doubt, it is the spirit of error owns the modern day platform and that has caused the multitudes to argue in favor for sin and consequently reject purity of heart, a good conscience and sincere faith (1 Tim. 1:18-20; 1 Jn. 4:6). The Church has fallen asleep and their doctrines are rotten to the root! Because the truth is being suppressed in unrighteousness the convicting power of the Holy Spirit has been withdrawn, strong delusion has set in and the preachers are teaching doctrinal fables (2 Tim. 4:4). The following is a sum of what's being taught within the system:

1) You're Born Wicked.
2) Freewill unable to make choices between doing right and wrong.
3) Freewill can only operate within the parameters of the wicked nature.
4) Gods Grace has to enable us to freely choose the Gospel by offsetting the wicked nature.
5) People are given Salvation by simply agreeing that they are born wicked and are willing to stop their sin as the Holy Spirit gives them remedy to that particular wrong doing done in the wicked nature.
6) People are not going to hell for their sins but for rejecting the solution to their wicked nature.
7) The witness of the Christian to the world is that of a hypocrite.
8) You Die Wicked (with exception on Holiness side of entire sanctification which is expressed by some sign of outward holiness or speaking in tongues which is never a true cleaning)
.
so these are your charges against the Church? I haven't the time to address them now but I can already spot the strawmen and the lies you have embedded into your false witness of God's church and His people who are trying to live and be lights to this fallen world. ............nevermind I will make the time.....................1. you are born selfish, God teaches you to share and love others more than yourself. ..............2. God gives you the ability to discern right and wrong and gives you the means to overcome any temptation...........3. what? that doesn't even make any sense.........4. yep God's grace does allow us to overcome our selfish natures, what is you issue with that? ............5. People are given the HOLY SPIRIT which IS Salvation because it allows people to be lead by the SPirit and overcome their sins. God accepts a humble and contrite heart. that is all that is needed to be given the Faith in Christ and the Holy SPirit who will cleanse and sanctify you by HIS means and power, not your own. .....6. they are going to hell for both their sins and rejecting God's solution, which is a sin............7. no the witness of God is that even though we are sinners and broken and unloved by the world, GOD still loves us and cleanses us of our sins and tells us we are HIS children. The witness is the LOVE we show to others and the living waters we speak to those who are hurting and in need of His grace. ..................8. you die beloved of God and you rest from your works done in this world to be embraced by God's love and HE wipes away every tear from your eye. You do not die wicked but cleansed and clothed in His righteousness.......... .<yeah, you don't like that part one bit, but God clothes us in His righteousness and He protects us with HIS breastplate of righteousness. It is HIM who guides us and we do our good works out of love, which He has poured like living waters overflowing from our hearts, not fear>

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I thought this thread, from the title, would be a great learning experience. I am disappointed. It seems to me that those who just want to find what is wrong often use sarcasm instead of reason. And it gets so far off in never never land of things that don't apply at times.

The church DOES need to learn and follow purity. A church sponsored ham dinner making fun of the way God taught before Christ lived as a man through the symbolism of pigs who were scavengers in former days and an easter egg hunt is not going to cut it to celebrate Christ freeing us from bondage of sin. For instance. An argument over timing for when we are to look for purity in our lives is not teaching us about purity. This is not a question for evangelism, but for those born again with the Holy Spirit.

I can just hear the sarcasm over the pigs!! And can name where the sarcasm will come from.

It also isn't going to result in purity if we close our minds to one scripture and elevate another.

I have just finished reading three pages of a thread about keeping yourself pure. What did I see on the first page? Quick and focused attacks. Just from what I SAW, purity is an issue that does need to be talked about.
I keep hearing people say we cannot live righteously within ourselves. This is true. However, nobody has said that we are to try to do so. Note the Scripture:
James 2:26 [SUP]26 [/SUP] For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Ephesians 2:10 [SUP]10 [/SUP] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 4:13 [SUP]13 [/SUP] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

It amazes me that some sinners can understand a few of these Scriptures, yet some born-again believers struggle with them. It's obvious you can't show faith without evidence. It ought to be obvious that we are made the Sons of God, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which means good works should follow them that follow Christ. It ought to be obvious that I can indeed do all things through Christ, but not by myself. How can we come to any other conclusion other than we can do great things through the power of Christ, including walking in obedience and living righteously? How else can we show the world Jesus? Remember the words to this song, " I would rather see a sermon than to hear one any day"?

The fundamental disagreement that people have with the material I post, the material the Tommy posts etc. is that it is very specific in stating that the rebellion to God must cease prior to forgiveness being granted..
nope my main issue with your posts and Tommy's post is that your blanket attack the church and people without bothering to learn about them or their hearts. Instead you base your assumptions on strawmen you have created and torch at your pleasure. ...............I have no problem with the teachings of repentance, purity of the heart, etc..........its the lies you mix in with those truths that I find offensive. but don't worry I'm still praying one day you and Tommy will break free of those strongholds and actually be free to live and become a member in the BODY of Christ instead of lonely voices in the wilderness..........

??? my thread is missing a page. I only have two.......yes purity of the heart does need to be talked about, but is that what the OP focuses on? or is it just an excuse to attack the church again?

going back to finish reading this very long post............................................
The question is, how is it the people have come to this conclusion? The answer is simple -- their preachers have told them so! Don't believe me? Search it out for yourself and you will find the majority of Churched people in our day have been taught that Paul was the "Chief of all sinners" and the "wretched man" of Romans chapter seven (1 Tim. 1:12-16; Ro. 7:24). Is this so? Was Paul truly teaching that we are positionally righteous by a passive belief in Christ, while the substance and evidence of our walk is that of disobedience to His commandments (Matt. 22:27-41; Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3)? If so, then the first question I pose to you is how does one uphold and establish the law by faith (as Paul stated), while they violate that law daily in thought, word and deed (Matt. 5:17 & Ro. 3:31)?
they repent and God cleanses them of it and teaches them how to OVERCOME THEIR SIN.......most people will not admit to having sin unless God first reveals to them that they are sinners and how they need to grow and learn from Him......................................
Impossible right? Not according to the multitudes of evangelical outreaches. Today, the purity of the Gospel has been diluted and distorted from it's original power to deliver souls from the corrupting influence of sin (2 Pe. 1:3-4). No longer do preachers have the time to guide a defiled soul through the cleansing process of godly sorrow for sin and repentance unto life through a crisis of conviction, rather, the message is repeat after me and trust everything you need to enter the kingdom has been done in advance by Christ!
ok I'll give you the fact many pastors do seem to just want to take shortcuts and not disciple people one on one, but I think its the false idea that its only the pastors job to disciple new believers. I believe all men and women of God should be able to answer about their faith and when they are mature, be moved to mentor new believers in the faith until they are rooted and established in God's words and being able to discern the moving of the Holy SPirits from that of the flesh or of demons.....discipleshiping definitely needs to be stepped up. However, I still have faith God is able to teach and lead. ................
Basically, the prevalent doctrine of the day is that Christ obedience to the Father and righteousness of life was not lived out as an example for you to follow, instead, Christ accomplishment was completed so God could magically transfer it to your account at the moment you believe on Him (Jn. 13:15; 1 Co. 11:1; 1 Pe. 2:21; 1 Jn. 2:3-6). This exchange then declares you eternally righteous before God's sight and guarantees you a home in heaven when you exit this world and face the judgment. Sounds good right, however, is it true? Again, is this the message that Christ sent Paul to preach to the lost world? Upon Paul recounting his encounter with the risen Christ, he claims Christ sent him to the Gentiles:

" to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me" (Acts 26:18).

According to this passage the Gospel of Christ has the power to open the eyes of men’s hearts in order to turn them from darkness to light, that is, from Satan to God (Eph. 4:18; 1 Co. 14:6). The remedy Paul issued to sinful men and women alike upon issuing the word of truth was "they should repent, turn to God and do works befitting repentance", nothing is said about switching places with Jesus and being counted righteous, while you continue to wallow in sin (Acts 26:20; Matt. 3:8). As follows, reconciliation with God only can be had after the sinful heart of man has entered into a season of "godly sorrow that works repentance leading to salvation" (2 Co. 5:20; 7:10; Eph. 1:7; Tts. 3:7; Heb. 9:22). It is in this very process of repentance (that God has granted) that the heart "lays aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness" while by faith it lays hold of eternal life by "receiving the Implanted Word that is able to save the soul" (Lk. 8:11-15; Jas. 1:21-22)!

Like the Apostle Peter, Paul understood the heart is made pure by faith, that is, repentance and faith both proven by deeds (Acts 15:9; 20:21; 26:18-20; Ro. 6:4-6; 2 Co. 7:10-11). It is through this working dynamic the heart becomes circumcised and able to submit it's self to the will of God in obedience to His demands (Matt. 22:37-41; Jn. 14:15, 15:14; Ro. 2:29; Col. 2:11-12; 1 Jn. 5:3). According to Paul, a genuine encounter with God will produce a fear of the Lord and a burning zeal within the soul to do what is right (2 Co. 7:10-11; 1 Jn. 3:7-10)! It is only when one comes to the light by "clearing" themselves of wrong doing and follows Jesus Christ that their faith will be accounted by God as righteousness (Lk. 9:23; Matt. 10:38; Jn. 3:18-21; Ro. 2:13; 4:3, 19-22; Gal. 5:6; Jas. 2:24)! Like Abraham, man must walk in the steps of the faith, do the deeds of the faith by obedience to the faith -- before -- their faith is imputed, counted or reckoned as righteousness by God (Jn. 8:39; Ro. 4:12, 18-22; Heb. 11:8).

" But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (Heb. 11:6).
hey I actually agree with all that right now. Jesus righteousness is still what protects us but the rest is true as well...lets see what else you have to say......i'm breaking this up to help people read it in small sections..........
In this passage, faith is likened to "diligently seeking" God. Like Isaiah says, " they have not all obeyed the Gospel...Lord, who has believed our report" (Ro. 10:16)? Therefore, to obey is to believe, which is why the Scripture says, "He who believes has everlasting life, and he who does not obey shall not see life, for the the wrath of God abides on him" (Jn. 3:36 NASB). Do you see the connection the Scripture makes in regards to faith and obedience being synonymous, that is, they are one in the same thing? The Bible says, "God will render to each one according to their deeds; Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor and immortality, but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness - indignation and wrath" (Ro. 2:6-8). The message of Paul is that, "when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angles, in flaming fire [He will] take vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction..." (2 Thess. 1:7-8). Make the connection and understand why the Bible is abundantly clear that faith works by love to purify the heart of sin, while apart from deeds, faith is dead (Ro. 2:13; Gal. 5:6; Jas. 2:24)!

"... and [He] made not distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith" (Acts 15:9)

When Peter stood up and gave testimony before the Jerusalem council, he informed his audience that God is not a respecter of persons and He purifies the hearts of men by faith (Acts 15:7-11). Peter would later confirm in his first epistle that heart purity is a result of "obeying the truth" (1 Pe. 1:22). Have you connected the dots yet (Acts 15:9 & 1 Pe. 1:22)? This fits well with Paul's understanding of salvation , that is, when one "obeys from the heart" they are set free from sin (Ro. 6:16-18). Of course it is the blood of the Lamb of God that purges the conscience from dead works and sanctifies the souls, however, this blood is only applied to mans heart when he repents and believes, which translates into, following and obeying (Ro. 3:25; Heb. 9:13-14, 22; Mk. 1:15, 6:12).

As Paul said, "we receive grace and apostle ship for obedience to the faith" (Ro. 1:5; 16:26), while Peter confirms that by obedience we receive the "sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ" (1 Pe. 1:2). Further evidence of this eternal truth is affirmed by the Apostle John who tells us, "If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses up from all sin" (1 Jn. 1:7). Without a doubt, it is the blood of Christ that cleanses the soul entirely from the corrupting influence of sin, however, this glorious truth is reserved only for those who have come to the light, and are now walking in the light as He is in the light (Jn. 3:18-21; 1 Jn. 1:5-7)!

" Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, good conscience and a sincere faith" (1 Tim. 1:5).
alright heart purity, still ok with this portion of the post.......
It is through the "ministry of reconciliation" the heart is purged of ignorance and faith is wrought within the soul. Clearly, the Apostle Paul would not inform us the purpose (e.g the end to which all things relate, the aim, purpose) of the commandment is love, sincerity and purity, if indeed, he lacked these qualities (Matt. 22:37-41; Ro. 13:8-10)! Furthermore, Paul warned severely that rejecting heart purity, that is, a good conscience and a sincere faith is a sure way for you to shipwreck your faith (1 Tim. 1:18-20). Likewise, turning aside to idle talk will cause you to stray from the purpose of the commandment and be carried away with the error of the wicked (Matt. 12:36-37; 1 Tim. 1:5-6; 2 Pe. 3:17).

[Note: Be sure to acknowledge that it would be utterly impossible to "shipwreck your faith" if indeed (as all the false teachers affirm) you were never on the ship to being with!]
??? don't get what you are trying to say with the whole shipwreck your faith and ship analogy....Who steers the ship? you or God?
This then would be why Paul "always strived to have a conscience without offense towards God and men", meaning, his aim was to serve God with a pure conscience because he knew (and preached) that Christ was going to return to repay each man according to his deeds (Acts 24:16; 2 Tim. 1:3; Matt. 16:27; Ro. 2:6-8; 2 Co. 5:10; 1 Pe. 1:17; Rev. 22:12). What deeds? The deeds of faith, that is, the motives of the hearts: love, sincerity, purity of heart (1 Sam. 16:7; Ro. 2:12-16; 1 Tim. 1:5).

"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received and in which you stand, by which you are saved, if you hold fast that word I preached to you -- unless you believed in vain" (1 Co. 15:1-2).

The Scriptures are crystal clear that man is a slave to whom he obeys, whether it is sin unto to death or obedience unto righteousness (Gen. 4:7; Jn. 8: 34; Ro. 6:16). The Bible is also definitive that faith purifies the heart from sin and gives us victory over the world, flesh and devil (Acts 15:9 & 1 Pe. 1:22; 1 Jn. 5:4). The Gospel message is to strive to enter through the narrow gate, while holding fast the pattern of sound words (Matt. 7:13-14; 2 Tim. 1:13). It was Paul who told the Corinthians that we are "workers together with God" and beseeched those in Rome to "present their bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which was their reasonable service" (2 Co. 6:1; Ro. 12:1-2). Is this the message of the modern day Church?
ummm yeppers that should be its message.................
What living preacher have you heard tell his people that faith purifies the heart of sin, upholds and establishes the law, walks in the righteous requirements of the law and keeps the commands of Christ (Acts 15:9; 1Pe. 1:22; Ro. 3:31; Ro. 8:4; 1 Jn. 5:3)?
the one who baptized me told me this.............
Has your preacher every warned you to "pursue peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord" (Heb. 12:14)?
yep we talked about that too.................
If not, then why not? Wake up before its too late!
??? I guess this question is not applicable?
" Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" (Matt. 5:8).
absolutely love this verse. I love lots of verses but this has to be in my top 100 :)
Don't be deceived, God is not mocked the scripture declares (Gal. 6:7-9). The only way (according to Paul's Gospel) that Christ will "present you holy, blameless and above reproach in His sight [is] if you indeed continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the Gospel" (Col. 1:22-23).
ah but its not me holding on to Christ but Christ holding on to me, that allows me to stay grounded in Him. .................
The Gospel is not Christ obeyed so you don't have to, rather, it is Christ set us an example that we should follow in His steps (Jn. 13:15; 1 Co. 11:1; 1 Pe. 2:21; 1 Jn. 2:3-6). The Gospel message of Jesus Christ was to "deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Me" (Lk. 9:23; Matt. 10:38)! The purpose of His commandments was to bring about a purification of heart and a good conscience through sincere faith that works by love (1 Ti. 1:5). Take heed, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever", which means, if Christ demanded a perfect heart of obedient-love while He walked the earth, the same is expected of us today (Matt. 5:48; Heb. 13:8)!

"To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work" (Tit. 1:15-16).
I read it all, YAH me...........I agree with a lot of what you say but I find that sorting out the bitterness about the church and the lies from what truth you place in your post kind of tiring... I think I'm going back to reading the Bible now.......maybe one day you will be able to post without attacking the church and just show God's wisdom and love, instead of your anger and bitterness ............................................................................................ James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

I post for those who want the truth, and are in great bondage to sin, think they are saved, and have no clue what heart purity is, so IF you get mad at our truth, then you may still be in bondage to sin, and all the reformed errors that teach original sin, osas, substitution, etc...

Most here have no clue what real repentance produces in someone going through godly sorrow, its all get saved in rebellion to God, as one posted who says she still smokes, gets drunk, cusses but thinks she is saved! What a lie from the pit!

Are you still wicked, carnal sold under sin! IF you are then you are in big trouble with God, and IF you arent, then ignore this post because this isnt posted for the true saints of God, who have actually purified their heart through repentance, because God commands it and gave us free will and ability to do so!

God is angry with the wicked every day!
Psa 7:9 O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.
Psa 7:10 My defense is from God, who saves the upright in heart.
Psa 7:11 God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Psa 7:12 If he does not turn, (Repent) He (God) will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
It seem many who profess Christ today love to ignore the strong warnings coming from the few who love them enough to give them the harsh truth!
But they are a prisoner of their own choosing, as they cling to their beloved false doctrines, that declare them saved and secure while they still wallow in sins of the flesh, mocking God who is waiting patiently for now for them to repent! 2 Peter 3-9.
They tell other lost souls its ok, they do the same thing, no one is perfect, we all sin everyday in thought, word and deed, God doesn’t care because it’s His job to clean them up and make them holy!
They argue in favor of sin and unrighteousness ever time the righteous call them out on their sins, which to them is just a struggle as they fall into lust, adultery, drunkenness, fornication, and out bursts of hate and anger!
They fail to realize God is angry with the wicked every day, He has nothing for the false converts who brag daily they are the chief of sinners, and that God winks at their sin and disobedience, why they cry out to God for help, when their life in an unrepentant mess!
So remember the wicked are not just the serial killers, bank robbers, murderers, etc., but may be you, IF you think you can sin like the devil, serving two masters, and think that Jesus came to cloak you in His righteousness, so you are now forever secure no matter what you do, then you need a strong wakeup call!
Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap.
Gal 6:8 For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit!
Zep 1:17 And I will bring distress on men, so that they shall walk with the blind, because they have sinned against God. And their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
These are just a few strong warnings coming from the word of God, testing His creation, as they mock His truth; test His patients, while they think they are being blessed!
Psa 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all doers of iniquity.
Psa 5:6 You shall destroy those who speak lies; God will despise the bloody and deceitful man.
Does this sound like a God who doesn’t care if you continue to sin willfully against Him? Does this sound like a God that turns His back on your rebellion and disobedience towards Him? And does this sound like a God who has declared you righteous even while you commit vile acts of sin against Him, calling it a struggle, and not what it is which is a high crime against God!

IF you arent, then ignore this post because this isnt posted for the true saints of God, who have actually purified their heart through repentance, because God commands it and gave us free will and ability to do so!
Kay Tommy.... well while everyone else is reading that.... here are for my brothers and sisters in Christ who can't watch the youtube video: its a song by Mandisa (my daughter loves her song "Good Morning" she calls it her Uh OOOuuu hhh O" song. and sings it in her five year old voice at the top of her lungs) .... .....................................................................................................If only I could see me as you see me
And understand the way that I am loved
Would it give a whole new meaning to my purpose
Change the way I see the world

Would I sparkle like a star in the night sky
Would I give a little more instead of take
If I understood I'm precious like the diamond
I'm a worth noone could estimate
I'm a worth noone could estimate

You say lovely
I say broken
I say guilty
You say forgiven
I feel lonely
Say you're with me
We both know it would change everything
If only I believed the truth about me

I wish I could hold on to the moments
When my life is spinnin but I'm peaceful still
Like a wind you whispered in the silence
And tell me things this world never will
You tell me things this world never will

You say lovely
I say broken
I say guilty
You say forgiven
I feel lonely
Say you're with me
We both know it would change everything
If only I believed the truth about me

I would sleep better at night
Wake up with hope for another day
I would love even if it cost me
Take a chance and know I'm goin be ok
I would dare to give my life away...

Oh, I feel lonely
Say you're with me
We both know it would change everything
If only I believed the truth about me
If only I believed the truth about me

The Double-minded (carnal) cannot know the real Mercy of God. They can only devise a reflection of themselves from reading His Word with duplicity in their hearts; So that the Righteous Judgments of God are not fair to recompense every man according to his ways. (reaping what they have sown, corruption or life: ‘Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good! Jer18:11, Ezk18:29-32) BUT instead of repenting (and forsaking) the deceptions that excuse their sin they find a false sense of Justification in unrighteousness! (thus ‘suppressing’ the Truth and exchanging it for a lie Rom1:18, 25) Accordingly the Professing Christian Establishment is REAPING a HARVEST of Sin!
Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have plowed wickedness; You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, Because you trusted in your own way, Hosea10:12-13

As certain as you will Reap what you Sow, so also SIN will Separate you from God. ‘Your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you!’ Isa59:2. ‘He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but confesses and FORSAKES them shall have mercy!’ Prov28:13. The Eternal Truth remains despite what the worthless Shepherds are saying …. MERCY is extended ONLY to those who FORSAKE (depart from, leave behind, abandon, get free from) their SINS! But if you believe within your mind that you can never STOP Sinning then the outcome of Judgment is certain, and anguish and distress will be your constant companions in life.

"I would love even if it cost me
Take a chance and know I'm goin be ok
I would dare to give my life away..." have you thought of the meaning of those verses? how God's love frees us to love others even if it cost us because we know God's unconditional love... for me that is true heart purity...........we would take a chance, even though we may be afraid or unsure because we have faith that God will make it so that we are ok..... If we truly believed God's message that we are His beloved children, we would dare to give our life away for the sake of others............Do you have a heart purified by God's love that is willing to love others, even as they condemn you? Do you pray for your enemies? Do you make space for God's vengeance or do you demand your own from the world? ..................what is true heart purity? .................Hebrews 10
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, [SUP]20 [/SUP]by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, [SUP]21 [/SUP]and having a High Priest over the house of God, [SUP]22 [/SUP]let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. [SUP]24 [/SUP]And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, [SUP]25 [/SUP]not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Mat 10:14 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Mat 10:15 Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

We are here to give truth to those who have a humble, teachable heart, that hasnt been corrupted by the false, saved in sin gospel, most are under today, you have been warned, I pray a few would wake up, dig deep, and come our from among her, be seperate and join me and skinski in preachng the truth here.

Hour a week? wow. I can't remember last time I only met for an hour. I do not think I would like to go back to that.

The problem with tommy, is he wants us to get right with God first. under our own power.

Not Have Gods power change us.. He is not fighting licentiousness. He is fighting grace.

Licentious is a false gospel and is easy to find people who are in it. But tommy thinks we are all this way.

All he does is excuse his own sin like the pharisee.

Hi Domenic,
I don't think that you are talking about most of us. Most of us here are not just "one hour a week easy way" Christians. Most people here I think care a great deal about studying scripture and discerning truth. It's just that most of us don't believe that we are perfect.
