Hyp******ers are heretics..... so if the shoe fits, wear it.:)

Oh gee Stephen., that's the whole point., I and the others who you routinely call heretics are not heretics. No more than you are. You need to re think your stand on this ridiculous "heresy" accusation. What good does it do??? Can you honestly say it does any good? Do you honestly believe those who regularly post here are actual "heretics" ???? Or are you just plain angry there are a few of us who disagree with you on certain Bible verses and interpretations?

Well., well THAT is an interesting post you got there Grace777. Just wow !
That sort of means a few ladies here (and some men) may have to "repent" or "re be sorry" for their positions about woman "teaching" males and posting here as well and even in their own churches.
Since by all intents and purposes according to their OWN words we should ALL be doing as they did and do..... if we we're reeeeeeallly as spiritual as they have already been..... I mean..... they have said they must "expose" other Christians publicly for their "heresy" For loving sin and teaching others to do the same..... do we count these as heretical woman teachers or as the captive silly women being led astray by every wind false of doctrine????

After all, they are coming across with a different doctrine since they are usurping the male's authority. ....since they are going against what some others believe to be the biblical mandate for leadership..... for no woman is to teach a man........ shouldn't we be "protecting the "baby sheep" here...."

Yes, the dynamics behind this is really interesting. I was meditating on how this "heresy" hunting works with all of us that may have a different view of some subjects and I had 1 Peter 2:1 come up within me.

Peter talks about a grouping of behaviors which show that we are spiritually immature in the Lord. Which there is nothing wrong with the age that we are in the Lord and there is no condemnation because we are in Christ but our behaviors give it away and just means that we need to grow up.

It's interesting that all these behavioral traits all show up together as a group when we are insulting others and doing this heresy witch-hunt thing because someone or some group sees some things differently then we do.

Malice exhibits itself when someone has an opposing view on a subject - then some resort to be deceitful and try to make it "appear" they are saying something else.

Hypocrisy sets in because we will not want the same heretic hunter tactics used on us the way we use them on those we dis-agree with. We can get envious when others seem to "like" what those "heretics" are saying. Then of course we then feel it is our "right" and Christian duty to slander them all over any public media that we can.

We do all this in the name of "defending the truth and rightly dividing the word of truth" but we could just be "defending our own church teachings taught to us from traditions"

1 Peter 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

( and yes - there are times to stand up for the gospel of the grace of God which is all about Christ and what He has already done - that is different then biting and devouring each other over things like healing, women in leadership, tongues, whether God wants His children well - does God want us to have an abundance so that we can give to others...things of that nature. )

I can't rethink my stand, because the Word never changes. That's not my choice because the Word is forever established in Heaven.

You're doctrine is not sound, & you haven't accepted any admonitions whatsoever.

In other words, it's not my problem.

Repent of believing false doctrine, & we'll sit down & talk.

Have not researched Hagin and what he teaches, but a brief search says he started the prosperity gospel movement.
hagin worked closely with oral roberts in the early days of his career.
today tv money preachers like olsteen, meyer, copeland and more have one common denominator. they were all trained at oral roberts university.

i wouldnt want my children going anywhere near that place, it seems to suck all the goodness right out of people.

Ahh yes, better they should go to Berkley College!?? ...... in keeping with the thrust of this thread,.... The students learn instead how to accuse and discredit everyone who disagrees with them.

Galatians 3
10 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be every one who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no man is justified before God by the law; for “He who through faith is righteous shall live”; 12 but the law does not rest on faith, for “He who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed be every one who hangs on a tree”— 14 that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

***

This passage isn't about physical healing.

The "promise of the spirit" is not a promise of physical health but to receive the Holy spirit.

The curse of the law is not illness but the fact no one can meet it and all are judged sinners.

If we didn't have Jesus, we would be condemned.

......I am just....in shock.

I am sorry but I can't spend time listening to someone who can twist scripture in that manner.

We can discuss what you believe Galatians 3 is about, but....aaah, now I feel the need to read the whole book of Galatians again. Just to wash my brain out.

well, still late to the show (pardon) but reading through

there are thin lines to cross which can totally change the meaning of something

one way this happens, is when people go looking for scriptures to SUPPORT something rather than allowing scripture to say what it is saying

deception is a deadly thing

He asserts that God does not guide us by our minds or souls, just our spirit...minute 27v55

Which then allows any spirit to deceive you because your mind and soul are not engaged.,,it becomes about spiritual "experiences" and being lead by the supernatural.

I strongly object to tossing out verses about renewing your mind and how God leads us both in our souls and by using our minds to tear down the lies of the enemy in ourselves...but will continue listening...

yup

totally agree

I know personally of people who have been deceived by this

you just cannot convince them it is not God even when the curtain falls and it all goes south.

special emphasis to:

Which then allows any spirit to deceive you because your mind and soul are not engaged.,,it becomes about spiritual "experiences" and being lead by the supernatural.
but some just do not want to believe such a thing and I think because of misunderstanding scripture in some part and in another, desiring an 'experience'

The curse of the law. It's not good at any angle you look at it. All these curses shall come upon those that do not keep the law. All of these curses. could it be much plainer?

Deuteronomy 28:15-61 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] "But it shall come about, if you do not obey the LORD your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

[SUP]16 [/SUP] "Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.

[SUP]17 [/SUP] "Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] "Cursed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] "Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

[SUP]20 [/SUP] "The LORD will send upon you curses, confusion, and rebuke, in all you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken Me.

[SUP]21 [/SUP] "The LORD will make the pestilence cling to you until He has consumed you from the land where you are entering to possess it.

[SUP]22 [/SUP] "The LORD will smite you with consumption and with fever and with inflammation and with fiery heat and with the sword and with blight and with mildew, and they will pursue you until you perish.

[SUP]23 [/SUP] "The heaven which is over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you, iron.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] "The LORD will make the rain of your land powder and dust; from heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

[SUP]25 [/SUP] "The LORD shall cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you will go out one way against them, but you will flee seven ways before them, and you will be an example of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

[SUP]26 [/SUP] "Your carcasses will be food to all birds of the sky and to the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away.

[SUP]27 [/SUP] "The LORD will smite you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors and with the scab and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed.

[SUP]28 [/SUP] "The LORD will smite you with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart;

[SUP]29 [/SUP] and you will grope at noon, as the blind man gropes in darkness, and you will not prosper in your ways; but you shall only be oppressed and robbed continually, with none to save you.

[SUP]30 [/SUP] "You shall betroth a wife, but another man will violate her; you shall build a house, but you will not live in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but you will not use its fruit.

[SUP]31 [/SUP] "Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat of it; your donkey shall be torn away from you, and will not be restored to you; your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you will have none to save you.

[SUP]32 [/SUP] "Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, while your eyes look on and yearn for them continually; but there will be nothing you can do.

[SUP]33 [/SUP] "A people whom you do not know shall eat up the produce of your ground and all your labors, and you will never be anything but oppressed and crushed continually.

[SUP]34 [/SUP] "You shall be driven mad by the sight of what you see.

[SUP]35 [/SUP] "The LORD will strike you on the knees and legs with sore boils, from which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.

[SUP]36 [/SUP] "The LORD will bring you and your king, whom you set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone.

[SUP]37 [/SUP] "You shall become a horror, a proverb, and a taunt among all the people where the LORD drives you.

[SUP]38 [/SUP] "You shall bring out much seed to the field but you will gather in little, for the locust will consume it.

[SUP]39 [/SUP] "You shall plant and cultivate vineyards, but you will neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm will devour them.

[SUP]40 [/SUP] "You shall have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.

[SUP]41 [/SUP] "You shall have sons and daughters but they will not be yours, for they will go into captivity.

[SUP]42 [/SUP] "The cricket shall possess all your trees and the produce of your ground.

[SUP]43 [/SUP] "The alien who is among you shall rise above you higher and higher, but you will go down lower and lower.

[SUP]44 [/SUP] "He shall lend to you, but you will not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you will be the tail.

[SUP]45 [/SUP] "So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

[SUP]46 [/SUP] "They shall become a sign and a wonder on you and your descendants forever.

[SUP]47 [/SUP] "Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things;

[SUP]48 [/SUP] therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and He will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.

[SUP]49 [/SUP] "The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down, a nation whose language you shall not understand,

[SUP]50 [/SUP] a nation of fierce countenance who will have no respect for the old, nor show favor to the young.

[SUP]51 [/SUP] "Moreover, it shall eat the offspring of your herd and the produce of your ground until you are destroyed, who also leaves you no grain, new wine, or oil, nor the increase of your herd or the young of your flock until they have caused you to perish.

[SUP]52 [/SUP] "It shall besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout your land, and it shall besiege you in all your towns throughout your land which the LORD your God has given you.

[SUP]53 [/SUP] "Then you shall eat the offspring of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters whom the LORD your God has given you, during the siege and the distress by which your enemy will oppress you.

[SUP]54 [/SUP] "The man who is refined and very delicate among you shall be hostile toward his brother and toward the wife he cherishes and toward the rest of his children who remain,

[SUP]55 [/SUP] so that he will not give even one of them any of the flesh of his children which he will eat, since he has nothing else left, during the siege and the distress by which your enemy will oppress you in all your towns.

[SUP]56 [/SUP] "The refined and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and refinement, shall be hostile toward the husband she cherishes and toward her son and daughter,

[SUP]57 [/SUP] and toward her afterbirth which issues from between her legs and toward her children whom she bears; for she will eat them secretly for lack of anything else, during the siege and the distress by which your enemy will oppress you in your towns.

[SUP]58 [/SUP] "If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the LORD your God,

[SUP]59 [/SUP] then the LORD will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.

[SUP]60 [/SUP] "He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they will cling to you.

[SUP]61 [/SUP] "Also every sickness and every plague which, not written in the book of this law, the LORD will bring on you until you are destroyed.

Here is what Paul said Jesus did concerning the curse of the law. Christ has redeemed us from all of the curses above in Deut. 28.

Galatians 3:12-13 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, "HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM."

[SUP]13 [/SUP] Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"—

He did this so that we Gentiles could also get the blessing of Abraham which is the promise of the spirit through faith.

Does it overflow and start blessing others?

Sometimes your posts makes me feel too focused on me...

When do we move past what God does for us, to the things God can do through us?
hmmmm

I find this a door that swings both ways

this is what I mean by that

isn't what God does in us what He uses to reach others? for example, if someone is badly hurt (probably most of us) and rather than getting bitter, they turn to God and work through it, that can be something God uses in that person to really feel empathy and love for another and be able to help others who are hurting with the Word and in prayer

yes, there are people who are totally self-absorbed but I'm not labeling anyone here

besides, I think they stick out like a couple of sore thumbs LOL!

Different covenant, different laws and terms.

Are you saying Gentiles are under the old covenant between God and Israel given through Moses?

The covenant with Abraham was different covenant and it was with his Seed, not seeds...so with Jesus. Not all of Israel?

I haven't listen to what he has said about it. I know where the curses of the law is in Deut. 28 and I know Gal. 3:13. That seems to be pretty plain to me.
