It has an ending. I assure you but telling you about it would be putting your chances in heaven and with God to death.

Sorry Oak I can carry on a debate with someone that doesn't believe in the bible. Everything I base all my beliefs and arguments on come from the bible.
Its not a debate, you have no evidence of your claims other than feelings. This is not about the existence of God or Jesus but how the KJV Bible is correct and infallible. I highly doubt even the KJV guys would say it was inerrant.

My claim still stands are you living your life by the book or aren't you? You own a computer and many thing the internet is the mark of the beast.

How could it when the only inerrant words he ever spoke came out of his mouth, he couldn't even read or write and never ordered any other book than revelations to be written. (jesus)
Oak, this is untrue, especially the last part. I did a personal study of the bibles, I made a choice, that was needful for my advancement as a workman, not just a Christian, but a living sacrifice building up unto maturity for the benefit of others. The word of God is said to "effectually work" within us and bring forth fruit. The word of God is written down, inspired word, and the arrangement is preserved & with inerrancy.

I will never forget how wonderful it was to read when Christ said, " have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God."

Aren't the beliefs and arguments from King James Bible the opposite of what you do?

You don't believe in correcting your brethens' scriptural errors?

Is that what the KJV Bible says you should do?

You're not like me because you put people's feelings above the word of God.

Is that what the KJV Bible says you should do?

If it was inerrant people would not get several interpretations from one verse. The Bible is not to be taken literal, that is why it has parables, it is written to inspire thought and feelings within. Everyone feels differently about it because the words make you draw your own conclusion based on what your brain has read and interpreted as evidence for such thought and feeling. The same way someone can hear a song and be saddened by it and to another it can bring joy.

I'm sorry, we will never know what the Bible could have possibly have been. The library at Alexandria is long burned down. The Bible will and always will be incomplete.

This is way beyond a verse or a a few books. The Bible could have been as big as a library if everything Jesus did was written down. The bible has hardly any details about Christ especially considering that the last hour or more of reading the end of Genesis is all about building a worthless tabernacle...

The Bible is a screwed up book in many ways. It just gets the message across. That is how much we have lost to time. Imagine what we would have if people weren't so invested in their own temporary politics and lies that are long lost in the past.

Your statement here is alarming. Very alarming.

You call yourself a Christian yet state that "The Bible is screwed up in many ways", and that "The Bible will and always will be incomplete."

If you you have trouble with a particular translation, that's one thing, but to say that none of them is complete, and all are corrupt, well that's worrisome. The word of God is a two edged sword, but you have no confidence in it's cutting ability.

Many things are correct and complete but which verses? What has been left out and what was added?

What parts are divinely inspired?

The Bible is always going to change just has it always has, when enough people think one translation is wrong or out dated it gets changed. This has been happening since 400AD

look at what the catholic church did to the KJV and then did to the following translations. They are always changing it, the current and past translations prove it.

in the dark ages people were killed for having a english bible... they have had control over it forever

Thank you for your thoughts. I see some things in your words, do you love God?

Yes I do, I just do not worship others that that claim extraordinary things without proof. God is the only one who can make anything extraordinary happen.

Excellent point. Here's the way it's done. If it doesn't fit one's preconceived ideas, then that part is wrong.... Go to the Greek and Hebrew concordance, find the best definition that fits your belief, then say "a better translation would have been..."

Hence, you get all kinds of wrong interpretations of the bible. It's not the bible's fault, it's the lack of faith in the bible that breeds false doctirne.

So now it's a catholic conspiracy?

And you're saying the Catholics somehow polluted the King James? The extremely protestant nature of the KJV is one of it's strongest points, and is the reason why it's my preferred translation. The KJV is the translation of the reformation. Many sermons were written, many souls were won, and much ground was taken back - all with the KJV. It, along with the Geneva Bible, were the power translations that gave birth to protestantism in English speaking countries.

And in many countries, you'd be put to death for owning either if there was a Catholic regime in charge. So, explain to me how the Catholics touched that translation?

The truths are hidden. The scriptures are hollow. The purpose is ever changing. You cannot understand it without long fasting, in body and spirit. The truths are hidden from those who have structured it over time to yield truth to them. The spirit fades when in bondage therefore even by force they will never know the truth. Only by your own spirit will you ever know understand and administer it's wisdom. There is no nourishment to the apple tree by way of the root of the fig tree. You are figs and to figs you will remain.

This sounds kind of... gnostic.

Do you care to elaborate on this hidden truths theory you are proposing?

The Catholic Church has touched the KJV...they influence it's teachings somewhat especially in the present. There is another who has a more pronounced grip on the scriptures.

What you have to remember is this...We do not need to know everything about everything...That is the mind-set of today's society...we often allow ourselves to buy in that mentality. We have in the Bible what God wants us to know....He gave us what HE has decided we need. If it proves to be not enough for us...then that is just too bad. If it doesn't answer all of your questions then perhaps you need to spend a little more time reading and asking for guidance from the original author. He will grant understanding if a person isn't lazy enough to do some work.

As far as the Catholic church don't worry about them. Concern yourself with yourself...You are the one who is responsible for your own faith.

We have what we have. That's it. You seem to think it is complete or does not give you all the answers. Keep in mind that in other countries people actually go to prison for simply having a small portion of the Bible. So, should consider yourself fortunate to be living in a country that allows you to have a Bible.

But...hey...that's just me...

Ok, then we are fine. We just have our convictions and differing opinions. I try not to be offensive or a better word offend the conscience of others when I can help it. But, I am not always successful in that, Lqtms. Oak, I am a literalist & a Creationist, which means I hold to "God is" as my foundation of thought and "God said" as my approach. I find evidence to be a peculiar word when coupled with proof against belief & faith for truth. Anyway, this has been a fairly interesting last couple of pages. Enjoy Christmas, God bless you.

That all sounds pretty gnostic to me... Athanasius was the Bishop of Alexandria and this is from his A.D. 367 Easter Letter.

-> NPNF2-04. Athanasius: Select Works and Letters - Christian Classics Ethereal Library

"7. But for greater exactness I add this also, writing of necessity; that there are other books besides these not indeed included in the Canon, but appointed by the Fathers to be read by those who newly join us, and who wish for instruction in the word of godliness. The Wisdom of Solomon, and the Wisdom of Sirach, and Esther, and Judith, and Tobit, and that which is called the Teaching of the Apostles, and the Shepherd. But the former, my brethren, are included in the Canon, the latter being [merely] read; nor is there in any place a mention of apocryphal writings. But they are an invention of heretics, who write them when they choose, bestowing upon them their approbation, and assigning to them a date, that so, using them as ancient writings, they may find occasion to lead astray the simple."

Guidance from the original author? Who is that, RA? I DONT THINK HE WILL BE GIVING ANY GUIDANCE! Neither will Iusaaset or Atum.
