Well you are a legalist if you add anything to grace as necessary to salvation. You are likely a legalist if you teach that there is anything required that you must do to secure your salvation for all of eternity.

Those who are saved by grace know not to live in sin. Those saved by grace know how to help others around them. This includes those in the household of faith and those who are in the world and still lost.

Those who are saved by grace are new creatures in Christ and live accordingly. Those who might be legalists are telling everybody else how to live and how to please God.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
Most legalists don't even realize they are denying the Gospel and their own salvation, if they indeed have it, by preaching their absurdities.

Just wondering here..........does "knowing" automatically equate to "doing?" Are there some that "know" but do not "do?" If so, what about them? Have they kept the Commandments of Jesus?

Can you define for me what the Commandments of Jesus are?

Again, just wondering............so as to not add to confusion

The Bible tells everybody how to live and how to please God. Why do you leave the Bible out?

A legalist is a person who tries to justify themselves by proving to themselves or to others that they are good enough that they don't deserve to burn in Hell. We all deserve to burn in Hell, but because God loves us He sent a Saviour to buy us back from what we bought for ourselves.

Why did you start with "No........" and then finish by separating the Law from the Commandments of Jesus? Why did you say "No" to what I said?

Ok, so, Keeping the Commandments of Jesus is not the same as keeping/living under the Law? Right? Just want to be clear here.........
No read this and tell me what you think it means...then maybe I can see where your at in your understanding?

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Obedience is not to the written code of Moses...it is faith and love in Jesus Christ....and in love all the law is fulfilled ....ok :) Its called the simplicity of Christ.

Again "Law," without dealing with my question Brother. The Commandments of Jesus (see posted list). Are, we the church today. to keep the Commandments of Jesus? I would think this is very important to know....well, for me anyway. :)

The role of conviction of sin belongs to the Holy Spirit and we are not to take it upon ourselves.

There are some thoughts and actiones that God has clearly labled wrong; and if a professing believer persists in them, it is grounds for breaking fellowship until (s)he repents.

any thought or act on which there is NOT consensus among believers that it is wrong is not among them.

The only thing worse than not acting on your convictions is imposing them on someone else.

It is not a believer's role to determine where anyone will spend eternity.

2Co 3:6 ¶ Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Please clarify your definition of "fulfilled." Meaning?................................
Lets see...this is a good standard

to make replete, i.e. (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.:--accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.

Ok, so the Church today has no obligation to be obedient to the Commandments of Jesus that I listed, for they have been......(insert definition above of your choice) right?

Well you are a legalist if you add anything to grace as necessary to salvation. You are likely a legalist if you teach that there is anything required that you must do to secure your salvation for all of eternity.

Those who are saved by grace know not to live in sin. Those saved by grace know how to help others around them. This includes those in the household of faith and those who are in the world and still lost.

Those who are saved by grace are new creatures in Christ and live accordingly. Those who might be legalists are telling everybody else how to live and how to please God.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
You are neglecting the multitude of passages in the New as well as the Old Testament which tell us how to live and how to please God.

But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation (1 Pet. 1:15)

this is only one summary verse of the many passages in the Bible, New Testament as well as old, which tell God's people how to live and how to please God. "All manner of conversation" covers everything including the way you dress which sends a message, the music you listen to which leads your emotions, the way you talk, the places you go, everything. Legalism is trying to justify yourself to prove you are better than another person so you don't deserve to burn in Hell. We all deserve to burn in Hell, and if you think you deserve Hell less than me because you are being a better person or a better Christian, you are being legalistic while you may be pretending to be spritual giving yourself a license for unholy passages of your time.

James I believe said for him to know to do right and not to do it to him it is sin.

The old man knew sin and he did it without a list. Does the new man know righteousness? You will serve your master. Either you will serve the diabolical one or you will serve Christ. Who is your master? Is it possible not to know your master?

Works of faith and love...not works of the law.... there is a huge difference and most bible students understand this difference...have you never studied it?
