one thing that had never made any sense to me is that anytime you see a lesbian couple, one will be pretty and feminine, the other will be manly looking. If they are going to be with a woman who looks and acts like a man, then why not be with a man? makes no sense

Hi ,

Interesting about the hair and more so for women wether we have long hair or short makes no difference to the person who stands before The Most High, if we have a relastionship , so I,ll take this a step further what if a woman has no hair what then am I then judged seems so according to some ,

well lets see then say I have cancer and no hair or I have to cut all of my hair off for medical reasons what then , I,ll take it a step further am I judged because I have no hair at all and I,m a woman , our hair or for that matter our womb or some other part of our body is not there because of what ever the reason does not become an issue unless some one cant accept each of us is different don't judge another till youv walked in their shoes ,

I have a few body organs missing and had major recorrective surgerys try walking in my shoe,s and see and feel what its like ,

Those who are different will still be accepted no matter what .

If at some time you meet myself you no doubt would say I'm very masculine and youd be right , not all of us women or female in this case are feminine , those from our country of Prussian stock were very masculine and had to do a lot of the work and live under harsh conditions over the years , and myself I worked in a male world in the building sector so you would not call me a feminine lass I was strong and had to be to do the work and I would have short hair and did ,

I had long hair and had major head aches so no hair no headaches so how would you answer this then what would you do , so why say the gay women are rebellious in spirt , what difference does it make to any thing as youll find out total nothing ,

Oh and by the way men were the ones with long hair try Samson and that other guy who went teaching ,who was it you know by the sea side in the boat and wasn't he born in some stink hole of a shack no room at the inn he had long hair ,,,,,

Join the Army and it,ll be short back and sides , wonder why ...sorry I was Navy ,

Just to be perfectly clear...

When I started this thread I had no intention whatsoever of casting women with short hair in a bad light. I just had a simple theory pop into my head in regard to some of the more "butch" lesbians that I encounter during my workday. Nothing more, nothing less.

If I've offended any of the ladies here in any way - I apologize. I truly meant no harm.

Funny you should post that.... I worked with a woman who was openly lesbian, in a relationship with the same person for 10 or 12 years. We would discuss Christianity (she was a non-practicing Jew), and one of the first things she asked me was, did I think she was going to Hell. I told her that I had no clue.. that decision was WAY above my pay grade. She laughed, and the discussions continued.
During one of those discussions I asked her pretty much the same question.... if a woman really is NOT attracted to a man, even to the extent of being repulsed by the thought of being in an intimate relationship with one, why on earth would she go out of her way to find a woman that was doing her absolute best to look and act like a man? (this woman's partner was perhaps a little more masculine than I was... )
She thought about it, and looked me right in the eye and said "I have no idea!"

It made for some interesting discussions... her grown son is also gay. Since then (8 or 9 years ago) she had broken up with her partner, and I see that she's actually looking for a relationship with a man. (if you can believe what you read on FB)

She had long hair, by the way, and was an attractive woman, not overly feminine, but not "butch" at all. We still visit when we have the chance...

Not all lesbians are the same; however, I could make a guess based on your comment. First of all, being attracted to certain overtly male traits--appearance, aggression, etc.--doesn't change the fact that this person is WIRED as a woman. Her genetics and hormones make her female, (not to mention acculturation), which in turn make her ACT a particular way....esp. in terms of relationships.

Most people acknowledge that males and females approach relationships differently (the how and why of it can be hard to put our finger on...but the what of it is pretty evident). So, for lots of lesbians who are into butch girls, you get the best of both worlds...you get the externalized masculine component with someone who thinks like a woman and acts like a woman in a romantic relationship. In other words, you can get stuff that you like about men without all the messiness of actually dealing with a man.

Samson was commanded by God NEVER to cut his hair (we ain't talking shoulder length here!)
Possibly only to his waist though. Odd fact -- most people, (I think 80%, but it's been a long time since I learned the percentage, so could be wrong), who grow their hair, can't get past their waist. It simply stops growing. My stepdaughter was one of a very few that could. Her mother could not. (And when she lived with us, we had a whole new level of cleaning the drain. Ewwwwwwwwwwww!)

HAHAHA I was thinking the same thing. They didn't have cameras back then--unless someone went back in a time machine and stashed a camera (against the known rules of time travel) and rebelliously took a picture and came back from the future.,causing a major flux in the time continuum...
Ah, perfect! That goes right along my theory of hospital staffs being on event-horizons, so their sense of time is longer than the reality of the amount of time they quote. It was CAUSED by someone taking a camera back in time.

My hair is mid way down my back just now. I've let it go longer though. Here in the south I think more women wear longer hair. I cut it a bit in the summer to keep cool. Ive had it quite short though and still looked like a woman. But if you like your hair longer you should wear it that way. I think they want women in the salon all the time so they tell us we need shorter hair. I think its business more than anything.
I used to go to barbers. Not like they don't know how to cut women's hair, and it doesn't cost as much. (Also liked getting new jokes by listening to the conversation. lol)

And now I Robocut. One vacuum cleaner, one Robocut, and 3-inch long hair all over. I do miss the jokes though. My last trending joke was from 2001.

the "hole" is seasonal. it's at its biggest in September every year, and by December or January is recovered.
when scientists talk about the ozone hole increasing in size, they mean that the yearly maximum "hole" is getting bigger every year. not that it's always there.

that currently - in March - the 'hole' is gone, is well explained, well known, and entirely expected, and entirely consistent with warnings about the hole expanding because of pollution in the atmosphere.

that's why it's "not news" -- not because of a global conspiracy to hush it up.
You got, "Oops. We goofed. Apparently it ebbs and flows every year. Sometimes it's worse. Sometimes it's better, but we don't know why" from the news? What station? I like that news station. :)

Maybe they just like it short?
How many lesbians do you know?
Are they a representative sample of the group you wish to have an opinion about?
(If you meet two- three straight men with pink T- shirts, do you assume most straight men now wear pink?)
Yes. But mostly because all the guys I see lately are in hospital-related uniforms or they're wearing sweats. lol

If straight men wear pink I always look at them like: did your wife pick that for you?
Cowboys in the Wild West usually wore pink. There was a time when pink was associated with boys, and blue was associated with girls. (The trivia that lays in my head. lol) Maybe they're just going back to tradition.
