The sad thing is that I have said it in the past myself. I have just recently been convicted about how arrogant that statement sounds. I am ashamed for saying it. It is just judgment in disguise.

Kefa

My heart breaks at such words. I have met some very confused and lost people, who struggle everyday just to do the basics.

If anyone has just a glimpse of the Lord and reaches out, He is there.

The people who make me question their salvation are the loudest, pompous, high and mighty, who claim a curse on those who oppose them. It is they who I wonder which God they follow, money or Jesus.

Just to have more clear balance, I wonder if anyone here would define what Hyper Grace is, and also antinomianism?

It actually helps to see where these different, (I guess they could be called, sub-doctrines) began, and do any of these apply to your belief system? If not, what "term," does?

It's actually very educational to look into these things, as I've never heard of the "Lordship Salvation doctrine." I have heard of Hyper-grace, but never really looked into it until now.

Hyper Grace= Lies

antinomianism... I might sound like this but they leave the most important thing out.
The Holy Spirit will guide me in good works.

I was actually hoping that they would be defined, as each different "sect," has specific verses that they use to explain their belief and all of the verses are in the Apostle Paul's writings. Each hold claims against the other.

It's interesting because even within some specific denominational teachings there are sects among some of them that disagree.

What I did see about Hyper-grace, is that it crosses a line in believing that everyone will be saved, so it removes the need for repentance. It seems to be more tied with a lot of the "new age," or "emergent" teachings today. It also ties directly to antinomianism, which is defined as this:

Antinomianism comes from two Greek words, anti, meaning "against"; and nomos, meaning "law." Antinomianism means “against the law.”

It's not only that they teach against the OT, but also the very basic principles in the NT.

I've kind of ignored the basics behind what different beliefs are held in Christianity. So this is really very helpful in understanding what beliefs people adhere to. I think it actually helps in being able to communicate with those who hold beliefs that are not the same as your own, also to know where the different beliefs originated.

I think his main emphasis was to counter the 'easy believism' which pretty much consisted of repeating a prayer but it sort of boomeranged into a full out worldwide church debate. The proverbial rider fell off the other side of the horse in the attempt to fix a problem.
That seems to happen when men try to fix problems instead of just trusting in God to fix it for them.

Never heard of either of these terms (for that fact, never heard of Lordship salvation either) until I came into Chritian chat I doubt either of these terms are mainstream, or they would be more wide spread.

I would like to know what they means also. By those who teach it, not by those just trying to interpret it.

Lordship salvation is Johnny Mac's answer to what he perceives as "easy-believism". The more you look into it the more you see both the contradictions in his "lordship" doctrine as well as his definition of easy-believism. Jesus IS Lord. He just is. We don't make Him Lord, as if.

The loudest advocates for the true Lordship of Christ are those who understand they are saved by grace through faith and who continue to live by grace through faith. Knowing we have been led to Christ, to be led by Christ....and that our obedience is not to things, but to a living Person who indwells us, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you for going into a bit of detail regarding the Lordship salvation doctrine.

Hyper Grace...Let's sin that grace may abound!

Hyper-grace is a term coined by Michael L. Brown, a Messianic Jew. Google it if you want to know exactly what he means by it.

Yes, antinomianism means “against the law.” But your conclusion of that means is strictly your own.

Actually, it isn't my own opinion, I spent time researching these things.

Anyone who wishes to can research it for themselves.

neither of which comes from God..

I guess hyper grace does soud better than licentiousness, But it does not make it any more true.

without even going into the ins and outs of lordship salvation, I take a look at what the name states and recognize a two tier system of salvation

that immediately sends out red flags

salvation does not have classes of Christians

Ran into? No, I would only run through those Churches. (drum roll cue).
Actually, I see it as an individual problem, a Church couldn't survive with a bunch of antinomians.

or hyper gracologists. It would be a free for all church with all kinds of sin, (In my mind, I see orgies and drunk parties) in the name of God. That church would never survive. or even be considered a church of God, anymore than an antionium church could be.

certainly. There is another type of antinomian or better "anti God's way of righteousness"...

Romans 10:3-4 (HCSB)
3 Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God's righteousness.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Why do we not just stick with the bible, instead of making names up and making other doctrines. I do not get it..

Follow Goods word, all of it (interpreted correctly)
Grace is grace, no such thing as hyper grace, it is still grace (grace is unearned favor, you can not earn something that is not earned any less)
Jesus is lord and savior. Not just lord and not just savior..

if we would just do this, we would not have all these things which divide the church.
