Yeah, this is the last time I'll address you until you change from being a smarmy little disrespectful know-it-all who's drowning in self-righteousness and legalism, and trying to pull others down there with you. What you fail to understand is most of the ppl you're dealing with here have been around your block a hundred times, so for you to come in here and make a blanket statement condemning ppl who believe in the grace of God, and Jesus in turn, then using some youtube preacher you couldn't even name as your defense, then throwing around insults and attempts at sarcasm from atop your hightower of legalism, is laughable at best. You really need to take a listen to the at least four ppl here who've shown you the truth, including the latest by a wonderful young sister in Christ who has more grace and knowledge and the Holy Spirit in her little finger than many ppl twice her age have in their whole body! Take heed, okay? (and I'll include myself on that list, btw :p :D ) HIYABING!!! :) \o/ (Yes, you guessed) Sure have missed you! Hoping all is well with you! Please pray for me, dear sister, it's been a trying time, I'm really exhausted, and when I get this tired, I get a bit ornery, and I lose a little of that Holy Ghost good cheer you always display so well. (But still, right is right. Our Good Shepherd Jesus, saves, and keeps, His sheep. Always!) GBU. :)
How many times do I have to say believe in what you want to lol. Who condemned anyone? I clearly only spoke about the osas doctrine. I love you as a brother in christ but i stopped taking you seriously regarding this discussion along time ago.

It is always better to be polite than be right. False prophets are always found out when they draw the focus away from Jesus and make it all about themselves.

There are people who uses exactly what you said & claim, oh jesus forgives me for my future sins so I dont need to repent.

Acts 17:30
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
Your argument is repentance vs the blood of Jesus.

I don't even have to respond.

Yea im sure you dont have to respond when you make statements such as no amount of repenting can make Jesus forgive you.

God's work on the cross is enough. There is NOTHING more you can add to it. You are thinking it is not enough that's why you want to add more.

I hope you do not believe salvation can be lost. Because that is legalism/phariseeism/religiousity based gospel that will never get anyone to heaven.
Here is EG proclaiming security in Christ or your belief in how it is gained or lost is more
important than believing in Christ to save us from our sins and forgive us.

Please pray for this man, because this is such a satanic deception, it drives so much of
what he does, it simply is a stumbling block to many believers who have a loving heart
for Jesus.

No one said it wasn't enough. However if you decide to ignore the many times the Lord also spoke of repentance many people are going to be surprised on judgement day when God reviews your life and says why did you not ask for forgiveness.

Well if you put your trust in Christ and live for him then good. As God said be holy for I am holy. However there are those who fall off the path & go back to their old self, their "old man" as they say. If they repent God will forgive them with open arms however if they dont they will be judged.
Scripture is not asking for your opinion. Who are you to judge if one has gone back to the old man as you put it? Scripture says we are changed into a new creature. Nowhere does scripture say we can go back to the old creature.

Can we backslide in our walk with Christ, that is our journey of sanctification here in this world? Yes we can. Does that mean we are lost? Heavens no.

Paradigm shift. EG is talking about security in Christ. Alone.

So you're saying it's enough, but not on judgement day?

You don't sound sure of what you're talking about.

Just because you put on your new man doesn't mean your old man will be gone forever. It's a constant battle between the two. I never said your lost when you backslide. I clearly said God will forgive you if you repent & turn back to him

How powerful is this old man?! Sincere question. What is keeping that old man alive?

Sorry, nothing personal, but since I'm here and I'm reading your replies, I can't help but want to understand clearly.

No it seems like your not understanding what's being said. Repentance & Christ blood goes hand and hand. You made the false assumption im putting repentance vs christ blood. If you commit sin over & over again & you dont go to the Lord for forgiveness pertaining to that expect him to address you about that on judgement day.

Okay, then Christ's blood is NOT enough, is what you're saying. It has to go with repentance, correct?

This is why you're sounding confusing.

Wellll, what's best is polite AND right! I tend to get one or the other, lol, but by God's grace as a work in progress, I'm getting closer to the 'both/and' position. :)

Thanks for the rep michael. Nice to see you again too though I have no idea who you were in your past CC nickname. We're you banned before?
Aww, that didn't need a public thanks, now I's embarrassed, but ty, that was a really nice way you put it about the love of God in that other post, and I had to give a *first rep somewhere, that seemed a worthy place.
I think you're friends with Abigail, read ahead....

Oh it's you! Yes, I know exactly who. GBU too. I have said a prayer for you. I trust that you're in good Hands. :)
Hi again!!! :D Yes, in the best, most capable hands there are, those of our loving hands of our wonderful Savior Jesus Christ!!! (And in case anyone might be looking in who doubts His great grace, mercy, and love, that's for Always!)

It's been a long road, Abigail, well, actually, not really, but it felt it at times, but I believe the Lord has been showing and correcting me on some things, opening the eyes of my heart, if even only a little at a time, but I thank Him for His longsuffering and forgiveness and love , and GRACE!!!
He put me in with some of the right ppl, and I met some wonderful folks in chat, which led to some very fruitful communications with staff, I can't thank enough some really kind ppl, mods, and 'The Man' and thank them for their understanding and the genuine christian forgiveness and reconciliation extended, and that many of us need, from BOTH directions, at different times of this crazy, wonderful walk with Jesus!

That's why your prayer response was great, and is a key example, ... being so tired, I could sense my impatience creeping in a bit here, and after a few posts, figured, 'No need to go on with this, God's grace is sufficient, and we're all at diff stages of growth in it, He knows what He's doing, praise the Lord!

Hope to get back to interacting with you, (and you Tinkerbell), and many of the mutual friends in Christ we had before, and new ones as well. Just thankful to Jesus, and brothers and sisters in Christ here, and in church.
And if you see me getting caught up in the nonsense debates (you know what I mean) don't hesitate to give me a nudge, ok? :)
God bless you all.
(sorry to disrupt the thread topic, ppl, got to work on the friends/pm stuff)

I know, I'm pushing. It's because this was EXACTLY my reasoning when I was debating OSAS and HG believers on this very forum (I have been here for nearly 10 years, ex-account). Don't get me wrong.

I understand that all you're saying is the importance of repentance (which I don't disagree with) but leaving the argument holes unexplored (holes such as: if Christ's blood is enough, then why the need for repentance?) IS the cause of this division between OSAS and non-OSAS, HG and non-HG.

I'll tell you about my faith, it's only fair since I pestered you to post so much about yours.

Christ's blood IS enough and faith in THAT alone produces repentance.
