this is a good example of exactly what the laodicea age is, people kick God out of the church and doing their own thing, it's like your pretty much saying i love God but i don't love the rules he has, jezebiel who wore makeup was considered an abomination but yet still professing christians trying to back up the idea that it is ok to do you it, your only gonna promote lust and adultery in the mind is between YOU and the person that desires it, if you truly do love the lord, well then why are people so comfortable living anyhow? i question everysingle thing i do in my life to considered if this would be right with the lord, it doesn't matter what the world thinks about us we will always be persecuted, specially in these last days who have to stick to the word of God 100% not just half heartedly.

I know two women I used to go to church with, both good looking women and both wear make up. One of them I used to feel uneasy around, couldn't never quite put my finger on it but I suspected a worldliness/lust about her. The other, in very comfortable around, I have found she is very humble and loves God. I think it comes down to motive and..
Im not totally sure. Im not against make up, i think its how its applied and reasons.

Jezebel was married, too. Does that make being married wrong? She rode in a chariot. Does that make riding in chariots wrong? I'm sure she also wore clothes, had sex, ate food, and did many other things that are common to good and bad people.

When attempting to support your theories, please remember that correlation does not imply causation. It's a logical fallacy and only indicates the speaker's ineptitude regarding the subject.

really? so let me get this straight we don't have to worry about our appearance as righteous people that means i can go and pierce my ears ink my entire body get worldly haircuts and none of it would matter? is that what you are saying? keep trying to justify your actions.. in the end it's gonna be between you and God all me and others can do is show you what the scriptures say if you choose not to accept it nothing i can do, if you truly do love the lord you would consider everysingle thing u do in your life, but it seems you have no conviction on whatever you are doing, God bless, as for me i choose to stick to close to the word as possible

i could because im not a judgmental jerk. I haircut really isnt going to take away from the knowledge in your message. It's what is in your head not on it.

Just another example or your rampant legalism.

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

nautilus it seems like you really hate us.
You make fun of us,mock us and insult us but I believe the real problem is that you don't want nothing to do with picking up your cross,denying yourself and following Christ.
I think you would like to be comfortable and do whatever you want while still claiming to be a follower of Christ even when Jesus has said we are to separate ourselves from the world and things of the world.
Jesus also said if we claim to know him and do not keep his commands we are liars and the truth is not in us.
1 john 2:3-6:3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Beleiving in Christ is not enough because even the devils believe and tremble.
We cannot afford to be so flippant when it comes to following Christ because according to Jesus only few will make it to heaven and most are on the broad road that leads to destruction.
I don't think a professing Christian should see anything wrong with discussing the word of God and his commandments.
2 Corinth 6:17-18:17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Jesus said if we love him we will obey him.
Also out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Please examine yourself and see wether you are a true follower of Christ or if you are just a Christian by title.

angelcakes have you been following the post.
I only speak on what people have already revealed about themselves.
I don't know what is in someones heart but the Bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and by their fruits you will know them.
And why do you lay a trap for us by asking us to judge wether you are worldly or not?
You should already know our opinion by what we have already posted or are you looking to cause more contention and arguing?
You can also join those who mock us because of our beleifs in the scriptures if you want but the scriptures will judge us all one day.
Also for the record there is nothing wrong with judging:1 Corinthians 2:14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Remember that Jesus said if we loved the world and things of the world the love of the father is not in s.
we cannot love the things of the world and God at the same time.

the bible says 'judge not'. It is talking about judging the intentions of someones heart. you have no right to do that, and that is exactly what you did. i called you on it. sorry if you don't like that.
i asked if some of you thought i was worldly in an attempt to get you to realize how ridiculous your argument is. guess it didn't work. if God doesn't want me to wear makeup anymore, that's fine with me. but it's going to require him convicting me of it, not anyone else condemning me for it. because that is what you are doing: condemning people who wear makeup because you don't agree with it. thankfully i don't have to agree with you or answer to you. You are not my judge.
and, who said anything about loving makeup? seriously dude, your argument is weak

[h=3]Romans 12:2 ESV / 19 helpful votes[/h]Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

conviction comes from the holy spirit, you will question everysingle thing you do or even clothes you have when you receive it, when God change me i had this huge conviction in my heart for the clothes i had, i had alot of filthy clothes i threw away half, don't you think your beautiful enough the way God made you ? i've listen to sermons that when the women receive the holy spirit they had on short skirts but the holy spirit reveal to them what they were doing they got so ashamed and began to hid themselves like they are naked, but we can't look on earthly things we have to look at the heavenly things on treasures are not on this earth, it doesn't matter what the world thinks about us

[h=3]Matthew 5:11[/h]King James Version (KJV)

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

the most beautiful make up any woman can put on is a Christlike nature

[h=3]1 Timothy 2:9[/h]King James Version (KJV)

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

angelcakes the bible speaks about hypocritical judgement actually.
it seems that in your haste to refute me and attempt to correct me you have read what I quoted and misunderstood it and misinterpreted it causing you to falsely accuse me which is fine.
We can agree to disagree.
God bless you and may he guide us both into all truth.
