Surprisingly, the message spread by traders was everlasting (China, Sri Lanka, Burma, Malay Islands, Indonesia, Thialand, etc.) than the message which reached through conquests (Greece, Spain, Sicily, Hindustan, Coatia, etc.). Military logic proves that 20,000 or 30,000 ill-equipped Muslim soldiers only driven by their religious fervor would have destroyed two world powers of 8th century - Byzantine and Persia - without the help of local population, which was waiting for a savior to rescue it from crushing barbaric rule of Church and Kings. The three reasons for which people in Christian world prefered Muslims over their fellow Christian rulers, were:

1. Muslims’ religious tolerance

2. Muslims’ justice, their fair taxation, and administrative system - all guided by Islamic Shari’ah.

3. The Islamic concept of the Creator (Allah), which was more ascceptable to Aryans and Nestorian Christians than equatting of Jesus and God, a dogma which was inserted into Christ’s biography during the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE.

It was Islamic message of pluralism - instead of the Christianity’s record of forcing religion through the throats of its conquered-people (forceful conversion of tens of millions of Americana Natives, entire Germanic tribes, millions of African slaves, and Catholic Inquisition of Spain victimizing both Muslims and Jews) - which attracted non-Muslims, then and now, towards Islamic Faith.

The Islamic Empire has a 800 years of History. the Middle-East problem is a result of European colonialism, it is the result of divisions by England and France of what remained of the Islamic Empire into countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, etc. etc.

Twice Jerusalem was conquered by Muslims as I pointed out. look through all the Empires (including Israel) that conquered that Holy land and compare.

I was at school, they brought the TV in the classroom and even the teacher couldn't believe it, he believed (or wanted to believe) that all that was just a bad Movie, a bad dream. along with the 9-11 victims were muslims. Muslims in the airplane and muslims in the world trade center.

at the time, I was i think 13 years old and I feared for my life, I feared to walk in the street because of what was happening and because there was a big finger that your Mass Media was pointing out, and i had the impression it was pointing to ME. Some fanatics even killed American citizens just because they were muslims. and others who looked like 'Muslims' died. An American thought he killed a Muslim family, but then realized that the family he killed was neither a Muslim nor an Arab family,but a family with a Sikhism background. Ignorance at its Peak. These weeks and months of fear are past history.

Before I start this poem, I'd like to ask you to join me
In a moment of silence
In honor of those who died in the World Trade Center and the
Pentagon last September 11th.
I would also like to ask you
To offer up a moment of silence
For all of those who have been harassed, imprisoned,
disappeared, tortured, raped, or killed in retaliation for those strikes,
For the victims in both Afghanistan and the U.S.

And if I could just add one more thing...
A full day of silence
For the tens of thousands of Palestinians who have died at the
hands of U.S.-backed Israeli
forces over decades of occupation.

You are the one that said that the early converts chose Islam because of the crushing tyranny of Christianity. So the end product of Islamic culture are places with "no freedom of expression or very little, persicution and tyranny" while the end product of Christianity is democracy, freedom of expression and no state sponsored persicution.

So, do you suppose that the tolerant Muslims would allow us to build a church in Saudi Arabia?

Of course you would choose the only state that is a church. If a sufficient number of Muslims will move to the Vatican, I'm sure that you will be accommidated. But you are the one who cited islamic tolerance. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Yeman, Sudan (who committed genocide against the Christians of S. Sudan), Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Iran, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan. All of these either make building a church illegal or impossible.

You do not remember but I remember when the combined armies of Syria and Jordan trapped tens of thousands of Palestinians between them and slaughtered them. I knew then that Islam was in the midst of a crisis.

This is what I see. In Islam, you believe that whatever the state of persons life is, it is a direct result of the will of Allah. If you prosper, it is from Allah. If you don't it is also the will of Allah. So, then you look at the West. We are better off economically, socially, and politically. So you ask, why isn't Allah pleased with us. You go through your list: confession, prayers, benevolences, Ramadan, Hadjj. You try to be more faithful, but still the infadel prospers and you languish. Then comes a preacher, who says the problem is that you have not been faithful in Jihad. So you fight the inner battle against evil. Still no change. So then another preacher comes and says, you need to strike at the enemies of Islam. So you are off to fight in Afghanistan or Lebanon or perhaps in the west as a martyr.

A short history lesson....


- Around 600 A.D., Muhammed began preaching Islam. He was able to unite his people under a single religion (Islam) in Arabia during this time.

- After Muhammed's death in 632 AD, a man referred to as Abu Bakr was appointed head of the Islamic religion and its people. During this time, territorial battles had begun between the Eastern Roman Empire's forces and the people of this new religion. Arabic tribes were also fighting the muslims, but were soon defeated.

- After Abu Bakr's death in 634, he was succeeded by three leaders (consecutively) who are known to the muslims as "The Rightly Guided Caliphs" because under their rule the muslim empire expanded greatly into Persia and east into the Byzantine empire (a large part of what is now europe). The muslim empire then flourished for a few centuries.

- Starting in the late 9th century, the muslim nation started losing territories to various uprisings from christian kingdoms in Iberia (see The Reconquista) and to the viking forces of the Normans in Italy.

- In the 11th century, european christian forces joined in alliance to reverse the muslim conquests in what was formerly the eastern Roman empire. The battles that ensued are now know as The Crusades. During the Crusades, Jerusalem was recaptured by christians (but was later lost to muslims again in 1187 AD).

I noticed there is like 5% Christians in the middle east....and that is where the religion (not talking about relationship) originated!

I think there a great amount more Christians here in america than the middle east......but think about it 5% out of the middle east, imaging the % in Israel.

Many times in the Bible peoples are displaced for a time as well as hearts of peoples getting cold towards God or becoming totally devoted to Him.

There will always be at the minimum a remnant of people who are true to God. A remnant being just a handful or less of people who didn't bow the knee to the false god.

If the Middle East was truly following God as they should, they would have peace and not be so in turmoil and bad off, you would think with all that oil there would be enough for all and everyone would just be nice to each other.

We need to remember not all people in the Middle East are Muslims. Some are Christians. The Jews go back further in time than either the Christians or the Muslims. The Christians go back further in time than the Muslims. So the 3 great faiths of the Middle East are Jewish, Christian, and Muslim. israel worsipped one God: the other nations worshipped many gods.

Ultimately, the Europeans did not choose Islam, and went on to build a society with such benefits that Moslems from Moslem lands are desparate to emigrate to it.

Then comes a preacher, who says the problem is that you have not been faithful in Jihad. So you fight the inner battle against evil. Still no change. So then another preacher comes and says, you need to strike at the enemies of Islam. So you are off to fight in Afghanistan or Lebanon or perhaps in the west as a martyr.
