If someone loudly proclaims that they are a prophet, pastor, kung fu master, ninja turtle, pokemon trainer or whatever, they are usually just a bunch of untruthful, wannabe windbags.

The true person just quietly does what they do. They do not draw attention to themselves, the focus should always be on Jesus Christ and not these clowns.

Which is why I like to give scripture and explain my interpretation with scripture. ;)

You missed the point Elizabeth. WE put scripture all the time. They don't see it. It makes no difference. They will not take in the word or God. Only God can help them. And that only happens if they ask God for help.

If they are calling the bible a lie, do think they are going to ask God for help? The point is that they stand in the place of God.
They throw the word of God out.

They don't see, they don't hear, they won't learn and they don't have to. They have free will. They can think or believe what ever they want. God will not stop them from this free will they exercise. When time comes and they find out they were wrong and they tell God, well you never told me the truth. Blame it on God right....

People are being sent over and over to speak the truth. But we can't force them to receive. I pray God all that come here are praying for them to see and hear.

You yourself said you don't believe in miracles. Your not meaning to be wrong but that is the same as not believing in God and you don't see that.

I agree with this. However if a pastor says they are a pastor that would mean they are not a pastor?????

YOU'RE A JOKE.
and you're still not a prophet.
you never were, and you'll never be.

you are, however, a false prophet.
that's good enough for you.

Thank you God! Let it keep being shown for what it is in Jesus.

A true Pastor does not need to broadcast it in a crowded shopping mall, or a chat room, they simply and quietly do their job.

ANYONE claiming to be a prophet today is either deluded, or a liar.
there is NO truth in either of them.

NO MORE PROPHETS. practically, historically and exegetically impossible...but some people do not care. they want men to listen to, and signs to marvel at.

there are only FALSE PROPHETS sent to deceive and usurp. HERETICS. every single one.

and they're quite successful: among the undiscerning.
for the prophets prophesy falsely, and the people LOVE to have it so.
no matter how many times the truth of the foundation laid once for all is given, the multitudes will gather for the free lunch.

carry on 4runner: you're developing quite a following for yourself. that's on your own head: and theirs. they have no one to blame for where they end up. they simply don't know what The Word really says, because they don't care enough to know.

this information isn't posted for them. it's for those who have received the love of the truth, at any cost to themselves.

there are NO MORE PROPHETS.

APOSTLES AND PROPHETS TODAY
There are those who claim to be apostles and prophets by their own word. Others claim it by showing their signs, wonders and miracles. This so-called signs and wonders movement is part of an effort to restore what they understood to be the five-fold ministry described in Ephesians 4:11. The proliferators of the movement claim that these dynamics are what is necessary for the church to have power. In actuality, those who lay claim to this ministry today are operating under a misunderstanding of apostles and prophets of the Bible. The Lord confirmed His signs to the apostles' words to show a transition of authority from Israel and its priesthood to the apostles who were laying down the foundation for the church, a new entity. This unique anointing testified to Israel and to the gentiles a new order of leadership, the demonstration of spiritual authority was transferred to the church Christ body. Becoming aware of what the Bible says about these positions in the early church can help us guard against misleading teachings in the church today.

Validated by signs and miracles, the apostles deemed the faith for the whole Church and established the written word by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Once the scriptures were completed, the Church had all that was necessary in the area of revelational truth. The apostles' instructions were in words, then put to paper for all succeeding generations on how to live in obedience to the faith.

Once a foundation is laid down and a house is built, we don't rebuild the foundation.(Eph.2:20) Neither should we rip apart the house that the Lord has built.

A true apostle would point out the false ones. Yet today, not only do those who claim to be apostles fail to do so, but there are threats and manipulations for those who do not go along with what they are trying to portray. 'Jezebel,' 'Antichrist,' and 'Blasphemer of the Holy Spirit' are common terms used for those who speak against them.

The New Apostolic Reformation
What is it and where is it going?
The International Coalition of Apostles headed by C. Peter Wagner is the most influential purveyor of the New Apostolic Reformation, a term coined by Wagner. This organization is really an extension of the New Order of the Latter Rain whose influences and mentors include William Branham, Franklin Hall, the Hawtin brothers, and more recently Bill Hamon, Paul Cain and the Kansas City Prophets. The doctrines of the Latter Rain have influenced most of the televangelists on TV today, and so have crept deceptively into many denominations. The main heretical teachings of the New Order Of The Latter Rain, as ruled in 1949 at the General Council of the Assemblies of God held in Seattle, were as follows: (1) The restoration of foundational apostles and prophets in the churches. (2) The teaching and promotion of a transferable impartation or anointings that are passed on "by" the laying on of hands "by" the will of man. (3) Confession and deliverance from sin to men. (4) The impartation of spiritual gifts by the laying on of hands such as the gift of languages for missionary service and other "ministry skills". (5) The extreme and unscriptural practice of imparting or imposing personal leadings by the means of the gifts of utterance, "word of knowledge" or prophecy. (6) Distortions of scripture interpretations, which are in opposition to teachings and practices generally accepted among the Church.

New Apostolic Reformation
Articles on C. Peter Wagner's "New Apostolic Reformation" as well as false spiritual warfare teachings. This page includes the "successul apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers" named on the Wagner Leadership Institute's site as those with "proven effectiveness in ministry, communications skills and a recognized anointing for the impartation of ministry skills". Beware of these "Latter Rain" advocatres who would lay another foundation than the one already laid in Jesus Christ and the Apostles and Prophets of Scripture!

Where Have All the Spiritual Gifts Gone?
A dilemma confronts noncessationists. If prophecy and tongues, as they function in the New Testament, continue today, then the noncessationist is faced with the quite practical and troublesome implication that Scripture alone is not a sufficient verbal revelation from God; the canon is at best relatively closed. Alternatively, if, as most noncessationists insist, "prophecy" and "tongues" today are nonrevelatory or less than fully revelatory, then these contemporary phenomena are misnamed and are something other than the New Testament gifts. Noncessationists are caught in a redemptive-historical anachronism, seeking within the superstructure of the Church's history what belonged to its foundational era. They are involved in the contradictory effort of trying to maintain along with a closed New Testament canon the presence of those revelatory gifts that were for the open canon period when the New Testament documents were in the process of being written.

Prophecy and tongues have ceased. What remains, supremely and solely sufficient and authoritative until Jesus comes, is "the Holy Spirit speaking in the Scriptures" (Westminster Confession of Faith, 1:10).

No More Prophets

I believe you are too late to change a Pentecostal's mind. We have already tasted and seen that the Lord is good. We have already been baptized in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We have already experienced the Holy Spirit as the New Testament Church. We don't believe your doctrine is even in the Bible. We don't find any evidence that what you say is in the Scripture. It's in your head. We believe it and we experience it. We know it's real and that it never stopped being part of the Church. I don't think you will find proof that the Bible teaches what you are saying. We have the Spirit of God. Why wouldn't someone who reads the Bible want what they had in the New Testament time. I don't find any verses that use the language you are using. Where does it say, ONLY FOR THE CHURCH 2000 YEARS AGO? Where does it say, NOT FOR ANYONE AFTER THE BIBLE IS COMPLETE? Where does it say, NO MORE PROPHETS AT THIS TIME? Where does it say, SORRY THE CHURCH IS DONE?

What is happening is a child of God is saying that prophets are real. The person didn't run around saying I'm a prophet, I'm a prophet. The person was attacked for saying prophets are alive today.

The one person is making a point to make the child of God look bad.

For one thing if a child of God wanted to say yes I'm a prophet so what. There are many. It is no shame what so ever that they do as God says. That's great.

What is wrong is for anyone to say there is no such thing. Mocking and making fun of God's people is no joking matter.

I agree with you that if one is a prophet should be a quite matter. But there is no rule written in the bible to say they must be quite about it. That's what we think. In the bible it just said prophet of God all the time.

If someone has never heard God speaking to them in their heart, it is probably because they do not know God at all.

Or they can listen to you Zone the one who goes against the bible and as above calls people liars all the time. You've done that from the beginning of when you came here. Then you always try to make it come out as you are so some poor mistreated victim.

live in darkness?
because we know what they foundational gifts were and what they were for?

hate to break it to you Linda...the Historic Church has NEVER believed what you do. not from the beginning.
even Paul told us the foundational office gifts would cease.
but you'll never change your mind about anything.

its you who is in darkness. and you've done it to yourself.
