I want to begin with saying , stillwaters, you are correct in speaking to the "movement" bringing confusion and damage.
The simple fact it does so proves it is not from God.
But as to the gifts of the Holy Spirit no longer being with us?
This is not an acceptable teaching either, as there is not proof of this in scripture.
I have seen only an interpitation of scripture bringing this conclusion for those who accept it in faith.
Stillwaters, you yourself said it has been your exspeariance that brought this, thus, leaving question still.
But every person must live what they know by faith, so I will not speak against your choosing this .
I know how much you have studied, prayed and struggled to come to this choice in faith.
As scripture says, happy the man that does not condemn himself in what he does.
And this scripture speaks to all man does.
Im simply going to speak myself to what I know in faith, the scriptures, and that which has been done in my life for God's glory through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
Any prophacy that would add to the word of God is false, but does this mean that there are no more prophacys?
As long as it has to do with the edification of the body, no, and as said before, not add to the scriptures or take away.
Dreams, scripture says that there will be dreams, but not in the scence of one being a dreamer, but that dreams will be given, just as scripture says prophacies given, but it does not say there will be prophets.
Tongues, they do exsist, I have seen heard and have known interpitation, this has been known and witnessed in others in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
Once seeing God's glory and power in this, it is never forgotten, and one is humbled and awed by its beauty.
Although not something made to happen, all is by God's will and power given through His holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
This is an important point to be made, no one can will any of these gifts, they come from God according to His will and pleasure.

I have read it in other scripture, but my weakness, recalling the chapter and verce.
I know this because of what I am witnessing to here in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
Now I believe this gift is called knowladge, given to edify the body in Jesus.
Although some might say prophacy, I know only that this has been given many times in my life.
It is not something one can will, or bring, or make happen.
It is given as God wills and chooses.
Many times it was simple things, a prayer asked, and as the person asked, I knew the answer, to the day and even more spacific.
Most of the time I was speaking before I knew that I was, I know only that it was given, for that person , by the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
Some things were more, knowladge of events as others have spoken to, my daughter is alive today, because of this.
Another time the person died, because I was yong and did not understand, I was too late.
The details were for those that needed, I know only that scripture speaks to this saying one will know when the knowladge comes true. for the evidence is the proof.
By this I learned that nothing came from my will or want, God chastised me quickly in this, nothing is of us, all is given by God through His Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
There have been some big things also, which, in many ways are a sorrow too heavy to carry, Jesus is showing me how and why.
For now I believe it is a call to prayer, for all who inhabit the earth.
Also , to bring His word and message of faith, hope and love.
The things that will last.
I had considered speaking to the many things in order to bring evidence for those who do not believe.
I could bring witnesess as well.
But , instead I saw this posting was simply to bring a witness to the gifts still being given by God, through the Holy Spirit

Scripture says, do not worry or prepare what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will give you what you need when the time comes.
Because this is not about who or when or why.
It is about God Our Father's gifts given by His will through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh, these gifts that are still given and still with us.
