Not By Works

abosolutely no way can a perosn have faith without works period cant be part of the faith tree without works...

Yes i I agree with you and others who say this as well of which I am one.

But I would say that all of us need to be very very careful as to judging what good works are according what Jesus said good works are, but further more judging what level of works are required as a result of our faith in Jesus.

To me a simple example would be, let's say someone places their faith in Jesus but has anger issues.
Will their anger issues suddenly stop? I would say not (please note everyone I'm not limiting God here cause it may happen)
I would say that a person with faith in Jesus then the Holy Spirit will reveal it to them, then that person will ask for help but will want help.

That being the case anger will start to decrease and that will be replaced with an increase of?

Hmm I'm trying to think with what an increase of what.

I think I would have to say, love and self control.

plus, they claim one can have works and still not get to heaven (lost salvation) since at one time a person had faith he must have had works,

well this individual isn't "defending" anyone they are just like everyone else speaking in this debate,just because the person seems to as you put it "get on to you" more is probably due to that you are rather upset easily and kind of rant a bit,so it just means the individual can speak more with them "calmly" than you,another simple concept,basically if someone is steamed a person may seek to correct them if a person is more quiet and patient with posts a person is more prone to understanding them and agreeing perhaps with what the "calm" person posts.

no mocking is beneath a "true" child of God,I was speaking more on the lines of that if a person has nothing useful to say then you don't say it,because otherwise a person most likely will look foolish,as it is written a foolish man speaks his mind,a wise man holds his peace,as in simply they probably already have spoken on this subject with similar people and know most likely what will happen if they answer you,so they avoid the overall uselessness of this all around thereby being "wise" though I do see your point that if they cannot answer then it shows a lack of faith as well as a lack of knowledge in the bible.

That's a statement of truth for sure.

You have lasted more than three years now, so it cannot be true for you, surely What was said is not a statement of truth for all, but the person who made it seems to show they believe they are insensitive, since they have lasted coming up on eight years! Also, God wants us to be sensitive to others, but not at the expense of truth. Sadly, people seem to confuse the two.

I at first ignored some people on here temporarily but I found that it doesn't really change anything,and it's just better to walk alongside God and not dwell on what nuisances there are anywhere,because there are mockers everywhere a person goes especially toward servants of God,but our role is to teach despite this and keep moving forward for God.

I don't fully agree with a single person on here. That's beside the point if we love one another. You won't listen to the softest of suggestions or rebukes about your behavior, even from your own "side." I happen to not be OSAS, but I'm close because I believe that abiding is the only thing necessary to remain saved. BUT, I don't get into fights with EITHER side and I don't exchange nasty or snide remarks with either side. I love them. If I'm going to wait until they agree with me on every point and word before I will love them, I will have no one to love. And if I don't forgive them when they're a little bit pissy or puffed up with me, who will be left for me to love EG? If I love only those who are kind to me, what good is that?

This is just not remotely true at all....the fact is, people challenge what you say and you get hurt and mad because it is not what you believe....

Your expectation is that everyone should see it as you do and when they don't cave as easily as people in your sphere of immediate influence...you get personal about it....if someone gets personal with you...you cut back....

And when they return fire, you play victim and act like you never did anything and you are just defending the faith and everyone else is mocking you....

When you act like this it is very hard to ever to take you serious at any level....

I have given gentle rebukes to others in here but you don't notice it because they take them with a calm and peaceful spirit EG. They don't start a 5 page rant and if they think I have been wrong in my assessment, they forgive me, and they do it without a word. They don't even let me know they think I need to be forgiven. And sometimes, especially if they are mature, I put the gentle rebuke in the open, knowing that they will know I did so for the good of the younger ones. And they aren't embarrassed by it - they rejoice that I loved them enough to counsel them. They would do the same for me if I lost control of my flesh. I know they would. I know they would because they are walking in the Spirit in love.
