Lol. How can I be establishing my own righteousness, when I am washed clean and made
perfect in the blood of the lamb. I do not have to establish it, God has given it to me.

I am counted righteous by my faith and walk with Him.
Please show me where scripture says I am wrong. I know I am not because it is this idea
that they preach. But you cannot accept you are pure and Holy, clean, washed by the Lord.

You think that works, Jesus's works have to justify you. But works never have been our justification,
it is being in the Kingdom that justifies us, bought with a price. Our worship to God is our works, the
display of what God has made us. In part I am a mystic, but not like the gnostics who split people,
but as a work in progress, a redemption of the carnal self into a child of God through walking with the
Lord.
This seems to indicate a progressive salvation...not one that is a one off process that results in an instantaneous birth from above....

Then you've been imputed this righteousness if He has given it to you. Glad your eyes are FINALLY opened.

Uhhh...this is works based spiel if ever there is such a thing. Believers are counted righteous by the cross of the Christ, not their walks and talks. I guess your eyes haven't been opened yet to this truth. :(

Keep toiling.

You're so far off the deep end with your theology, its disgusting.

I think my friend you mistake the difference between arriving to walk and walking.
How many times did Jesus say your sins are forgiven. Followed by do not sin any more
or worse things will happen to you.

So being forgiven is the platform from which we build. But how can we build when we are
so easily miss-led and go off on tangents? By obedience and following. As one grows things
become certain, and defined. It is no longer a question of what do I do next, you know.

Oh, I mistake nothing.

The only mistake on here is this pat on the back, look what I am doing to garner my salvation, works gospel.

If he were clothed in the righteousness of Christ he wouldn't be going about to establish his own righteousness. Furthermore, he's simply trying to dodge his stated belief that the imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not work. Now he is trying to say he accepts it, then in the next sentence shows how he is really trying to twist it around to make his rejection of it sound like acceptance of it.

You're either clothed in the righteousness of Christ by faith, and are done with trying to establish your own righteousness, or you simply are not clothed in His righteousness.

He is now, as they say, talking out both sides of his mouth while trying to appeal to those who may be watching his words.

Now, that being said, His do walk in righteousness, but not in order to establish their own righteousness to be then counted as righteous. We are counted righteous because of Christ, not because of ourselves.

I'll be working my way back to you, Lord The Scripture Twisters

I'll be working my way back to you, Lord, with this innate faith inside
Yeah, I'm working my way back to you, Lord, with this righteousness is my hide
I let work every way
(Been workin' ev'ry day)

When you were so in love with me, I knew it was because I work, makin' your job easy
Thought I could have my cake and eat it too, because my faith and self-righteousness is cool
See me down and out, I work real hard and will not pout
For every day I made you happy
Because I work every day to save me

I'll keep working my way back to you, Lord, with this innate faith inside
Yeah, I'm working my way back to you, Lord, with this self-righteousness in my hide
I let work every way
(Been workin' ev'ry day)

Why do you guys fight so hard? Trying to work your way in the Kingdom.

When you use the word disgust, you know you have gone wrong.
Jesus talks simply how love works, and it is about being a shinning light.

If you had this shinning light, I would be blinded, but you side step being made
clean, because you do not believe you are. That's where the discussion stops.
Unless you are clean you are lost in your sins.

God bless you, I pray you may see the light of His glory and grace, amen.

You still fail to see the full scope of the letter to the HEBREW Christians who were wanting to go back under an inferior way....the context is found in the preceding verses and is applicable unto the SECURITY we have in CHRIST...
vs. 17 OUR SINS and INIQUITIES are forgiven and forgotten in CHRIST
vs. 18 WHERE remission is (in Christ) there is no more offering for sin (pointing at the Old Covenant they want to go back under)
vs. 19 Because of verse 17 ad 18 we have BOLDNESS to enter the holiest by the blood of CHRIST (cannot do under the old cov.)
vs. 20 IT IS A NEW and LIVING WAY which ALLOWS vs. 19
vs. 21 WE ALL have a BETTER and NEW high priest over the house of GOD (after the order of Melchisedec chapter 8)
vs. 22. BECAUSE of the above we should DRAW NEAR in FULL ASSURANCE and in a clear conscience (because of JESUS and the NEW and living way)
vs. 23 BECAUSE of the NEW and LIVING way and the above in CHRIST HOLD FAST the profession of faith without wavering (DESIRING to go back under an inferior way)

IT states NOTHING about losing salvation......
Yes it does. It has everything to do with salvation. Continue the quote of chapter 10 up to vs. 29:

"23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering..."

"26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?" (Hebrews 10:23,26-29 NASB)

And before you even go there, 'sanctified' in vs.29 does in fact mean born again people. Vs. 10 defines exactly, in context and flow of thought, what the author means by 'sanctified':

"10By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Hebrews 10:10 NASB)

JUST like the verse states....I KNOW in whom I have believed and am FULLY persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
That's called 'having faith'. You know, continuing in the faith you started out with. It's funny how when you folks say to do that you're not working to earn your salvation but I if I say to do that (quoting the Bible) I'm working to earn my salvation.

It has nothing to do with salvation.....wake up to the context....this has been covered numerous times and you still fail to take the account of context into the equation....salvation is not losable, nor can one forfeit it....wake up and quit peddling a working for dogma like a street organ player with a dancing monkey....
