If there was a prize for repeating the same ideas I think you would win it.
It is ai version 1, repeat gibberish until the audience give up just to get it to
stop.

Trouble is it gets really old, like a mountainer who only climbed one mountain,
but does not have the guts to do any more, lol.

The great thing is its your funeral not mine:cool:

Then claim you do not teach a works based salvation based on MANS ability. And expect me and everyone else to believe that.
All you gotta do is post the passage that explains how continuing to believe through God's gift of faith constitutes a works based salvation and you will have made your point. But since you can not do that, because that passage does not exist, you will never be able to prove your point. It's simply not Biblical. Continuing to believe is not a works based salvation.

Don't you think JESUS really enjoyed those precious moments, when he could just enjoy being human at May and Martha's house, or at home with his Mother?
I agree in a loving environment.

what I see if you have no capacity to understand the obvious.

You teach God will not fail,. But men do.

Then claim men can lose salvation if they fail.

Then claim you do not teach a works based salvation based on MANS ability. And expect me and everyone else to believe that.

But hey. Thats ok, The Pharisee and jews could not understand it either.
A small question. Who are you? Do you think anyone can take you seriously
with this kind of attitude? No content, no points, just attitude.

Reminds me of two guys squaring off, except it is only one jumped up amateur preacher
punching above his weight, but then at least you try, .... Amusing but no impact ......

May I jump into the conversation, would this verse help you to see that belief is a gift that we receive from God not something we can do to hold on to our salvation.

Context: Paul's chain's advance the gospel.

"For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have." Philippians1:29

A lot of believers accept God chooses us, opens the door and brings light.
But then we can choose. The sensation I have always had is there is no other
way, but equally I walk by grace and assume nothing.

Now I have friends who have walked away. And that is where I leave it.
I know the puzzle of love and a defended heart, where someone wants to know
but does not connect. Others are in the church, yet have so much badly wrong.
The Lord is the judge. And those who truly know Christ and walk in His ways,
with grace they are secure.

It strikes me some are looking for enemies, and like any bullies will stir up trouble
out of nothing. And there motive is to find the evil and call others to mob them.

I hope and pray we all get the vision to do more good works to bring glory to
the King. What do we lose doing more? Nothing, in fact as a worship to the
King it is our glory.

Your trusting self not god, your trusting your ability to continue in faith, not gods ability to keep you from falling, which he said he would do.

thats works 101, of which you have no argument.

I do not believe the bible teaches that belief at the time of conversion is a gift of God,

however putting that aside......

now you are stating that continuing to believe is God's gift of faith then this leads to me to ask...

How does this fit in with one can loose their salvation?

Does God then decide to remove this gift?

If continuing to believe is the criteria for eternal life/salvation then for what reasons does He stop providing the means to be saved to anyone?

Well then God gives some an unfair advantage,

sorry I do not see this in scripture,

Having said that I will read your response and ponder it and go back to scripture but I will not pursue a discussion on it

I have no desire to get into this weighty topic on a discussion board....

Not By Works is all I can handle. :D

Yet it does just that.

God knows what decision that each and every man would make...Judas is a prime example....is it unfair for God to refuse one the gift of faith if he knows ahead of schedule that they would not believe?

Remember...many are called but few chosen....and God has made the wicked for the day of evil.....There is a balance for sure...God would have ALL men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, the grace of God that brings salvation has shined down upon ALL MEN...unfortunately men love darkness and will not come to the light.....hence....there is nothing unfair about God giving me faith because I will believe and withholding faith from a man that refuses to come to the light....if that makes sense...

Okay just one question or two...is this measure of faith the one in Romans 12:3?

So then are you saying that non-believers are each given a measure of faith so they can be saved?

AMEN....the verse that states that GOD has dealt unto every man a measure of faith seems fairly clear....

Not sure why it's so weighty. Most are more secure in their false notion they chose God and have inherent faith than in the security and truth that God chose them and that faith exists outside of themselves. Romans 10:17 is just one text. Also Acts 3:16. Many more show faith comes from God unto salvation. Still have no idea why you'd see that as weighty when it glorifies God not man. Quite comforting to me.

Not even sure why you'd go study it since it's so heavy.
