Consider this thought about what you added.

Maybe Jesus did not need to hear the believer say all that, because he "knew" the believer and the believer also knew Jesus and knew there is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus and knew he was worthy to enter in because of the lamb who was slain and only because of the lamb who was slain.
That cold be what happens.

I think I am lookin at it from the believers point of view. You looked at it from Jesus point of view.

Actually, I believe we do not see the believer at the great white throne judgment, He is ressurected and given the ressurected body. He goes to the Bema Seat, where his works is tried, and he receives reward or sees his work burnt up.

So maybe the question of why never happens to begin with

An Atheist dresses up as a clown and goes to the Children's cancer hospital to cheer up kids going through Chemo therapy.

A youth pastor dresses up as a clown and goes to the Children's cancer hospital to cheer up kids going through Chemo therapy.

A believer, visiting his child with cancer helps his sick child encourage the other kids and their families. they both also pray for other kids and their families if they want a prayer. When things get tough and sad for others they shade those going through the hard time with their own shield of faith. At home the Believe continues praying for all those kids and families. WHen his child dies from cancer, he goes back to the cancer ward and shares how at peace his child and their friend was with their death and he shares the peace that passes understanding.

At Judgment the Atheist will come to Jesus and say, I spent 5 years dressing as clown. I cheered up kids with cancer. I made them laugh. I saved some of them. I was thanked. I.....

At Judgment the believer will join his child and Jesus will say, I was sick and you came and saw me, enter in my good and faithful servant.

To the world and the church they all did a good work. The differentiation then becomes what was the motive for doing the good work and who it brought glory and honor to.

A unbelievers and a religious workers motivation for doing good in the world is not remotely even close to what motivates a believer to do good works.
Now that was true and interesting, each have different motivations, this is why I point out that a believer "will have works" an unbeliever may function on the basis of "I only help those that help me",so thereby overlooking or not acknowledging God.

Amen, this is why, in spite of some protests, You can never use works as a determination of who has true saving faith vs who does nto have saving faith. About all you can do is look at your own life, and determine, am I a hearer only, (them work I do is not a spiritual work, even thought it may look like a christian work) or am I a hearer and a doer also In order to test my own faith to see if it is real or not. WHich is what James was trying to tell us.

Also the story reminds me of the Publican and the Pharisee, both came to pray to God,with the Pharisee saying "save me for I have done so much for you" where as the Publican smote his chest and declared "I am sinner save me God"(paraphrasing) with the Publican accepting humbly that he was a sinner, and the Pharisee simply making excuses for why he should be saved without truly being humble with God.

Well Mr.Milk talk my good friend,it can be,depending on what you intend to post, and the "atmosphere in the thread",sometimes the thread subject changes other times people stay on topic.
Sometimes though it's as simple as observing and speaking.

One thing that always amazes me about the workers for is the simple truth that JESUS did not say to the many in number that they had not done the wonderful works in his name....he does say that he never knew them which goes to the root....they were never saved and yet in their mind they were saved, knew Christ and were very religious and working under the banner of his name.....how hard is it to equate this to many so called Christian religions today....

a. They claim to know JESUS...
b. They do any works in his name or under his banner...
c. They believe it is part of the equation that allows entrance into heaven...

YET their ROOT or SALVATION is based upon a false pretense and under an incorrect view that their works are part of the equation.......NO MATTER how many works one does, even in the name of JESUS, if the LORD does not know you by your faith and belief into the correct message of salvation you will be found in your sins and a worker of iniquity<---Just like he told the Pharisee of his day....YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS.......

AMEN..............what a slap in the face to the work of JESUS......
And you're not part of His work obviously 'coz you're not a part of Him who do His work of salvation here on earth, His body, the church, otherwise you will call yourself a WORKS SALVATIONIST which you invented to create division in the church.

What work did Jesus not do to accomplish your salvation? Why does he need your help? In fact, why do you, a sinner, think you can do anything to make up for 1 sin (the penalty of which is death I may add) let alone all the sins you have done, are doing, and will do for your whole life.

That is hilarious.....the only thing I am dividing are the tares who teach a working for false dogma from those who rightfully and biblically teach salvation by grace dia faith.......come back with something of value.......

So you can not answer the easy question I gave?

I did not dictate anything, YOU DID when you posted concerning salvation and what it takes to earn it, and saying if we lost one of the three things, we would lose salvation.

That was YOU NOT ME!!

You did lie.

1. You posted that salvation is based on

I responded to this post. and said you were teaching a works based salvation, because that is what you posted. (salvaion is these three, lose one and you lose salvation)

You responded back to me with a bunch of verses, which was good. you gave a counter view..And then you mentioned purity and how we needed to clean ourselves up.

I responded back, and said if you wanted to earn salvation, then good for you, But I want to claim Gods promises, and gave them for you to see and respond. then responded again about how I think we are cleansed,

THEN you CHANGED THE SUBJECT, and tried to say you were not talking about salvation, but about having communion with God, to which I directed you back to your first post. and as usual, you have no answer, so you refuse to talk about it.

to which I called you out and said you lied. And now I have proved it how many times?

As I told you/peter before, You can not go someplace and teach purity and righteousness, when you lie and slander like you do.

So you are being ignored, just like I am being ignored. It reminds me of the JWs and Mormons, that come knocking at your door. You give them Bible Truths, and they ARE TRAINED TO IGNORE IT, so they just change the subject, so that your statement or questions they won't interfere with their SPIEL, instead of answering it. Like my unanswered explanation of James 2:14-18, when he said Faith without works is Dead, IS ONLY HOW OUR LOVE must be exhibited, or it really isn't GOD'S LOVE inside of us; comparing it to GOD's parallel verse in 1 John 3:14-18, #52906 .

I respond to their ignoring me, in a different way. Let it be what they emulate, they want to identify with known psuedo-christian cults, so be it.
