This is true... and even though Jesus said that Judas was "unclean" and called him a son of perdition (doomed to destruction), there are still those who insist that Judas was saved (because he committed suicide! ).
I believe judas is an example our Lord of Host left us to remember that the Holy One suffered the pain of betrayal.
That Yeshua willingly laid down his life and as pilate was reminded quite fiercely of this.
Pilate could not comprehend such Truth.
The disciples may not of known who the betrayer was till the time came.
Yet one person did ask.
