Glad to see you admit you still sin.
Do you agree that salvation is a gift from God with no strings attached?
Do you agree that salvation is a gift from God with no strings attached?
Ex. 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
1 Sam. 15:
22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Ecc. 12:
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Matt. 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Rom. 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
James 1:
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
REv. 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Again, you have a religion which preaches one thing, and you have the Word of God, from the beginning to the end, which teaches something completely different.
God/Jesus is very clear. Not everyone receives this "free gift". Not everyone who call Jesus Lord, Lord, receive this "free gift". Given that I have demonstrated that there is a difference between what religious man preaches, and what the Word of God which became Flesh teaches, one needs to make a choice. And this choice has been given to every man since Abraham was asked to choose God's Word over His own Father.
Do we adhere to the "broad" path and the religions of the land we are born into that are so popular? Or do we partake of the suffering of the Christ, and choose the path He walked.
Is there strings attached to salvation? Maybe you should ask the God that created it.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
