I believe some people can not see th wrong they do.. Yet have no problem calling other peole out. But amen. Our communication should be edifying, not tearing each other down.. Something which we are all guilty off But we need to be repentant.
Amen. Repentance ushers the blessings of God into our life, and so we can testify of Jesus effectively and the world may BELIEVE! The goodness of GOD (of which we can be a vessel for) leads man to repentance!

Hi E-g, I wondered myself about that post from "oldthennew", at first sight it looks like you are a victim of a hit n' run post because he has yet to come back and make any more comments. I think and hope that maybe he has
made a mistake and his post is referring to someone else, we can only hope.

"following the dark side", absurd and ridiculous

ETG,
you are such a thorn in so many sides, yet loved by those who Know where you are coming from
and feel so much heart/ache for your obedience/following the 'dark-side' -
we will continue to 'hear your corrupted interpretation of scripture, - but, your time is running out...

John Calvin himself said; "There are babies a span long in hell."
"John Calvin himself", never said these words that is a completely false statement from you.
"There are babies a span long in hell." "Has not been found from the pen of Calvin"
Fact: John Calvin never said; There are babies a span long in hell. - he never said these words they are false.

Hi Budman, I'm a Born again Christian 1978 raised in a fundamental non-denominational Christian Church. Most anti-Christian folks called us Jesus Freaks back then remember. Today I will stand in support of anyone who follows a Calvinistic doctrine and I am right at home theologically with my Baptist Friends and Family.

This quote from you: John Calvin himself said; "There are babies a span long in hell. ", is not true it is a "guess or a surmise" of someone that said John Calvin said these things; this quote is not based in fact because there is no proof that these words were ever "written" by John Calvin.

A non-calvinist website said, quote: that this quote "has not been found", but, there is "circumstantial evidence the he "probably said it" furthermore they said; quote; he never taught "against" babies going to hell.", really so what.

Hi Forum, please allow me to add this follow up to, "making a false testimony"

By "making a false testimony" about anyone means you are lacking the "proof with evidence or even an eyewitness" to your alleged accusations. If your testimony is not based in fact with proof it then becomes just your opinion that this happened or that happened, with no proof or evidence it is just guesswork; guesswork is, quote: "supposition based on theory or opinion, without substantial evidence.

Giving false testimony is serious business and it should be stopped dead in its tracks. If you do not oppose making false testimony the next time it could be against you or a loved one, bad news.

Deuteronomy19:15
A lone witness is not sufficient to establish any wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

This libel happens all day long in here by the anti-cals. And they don't mind or bat an eye when they bear false witness. Truth? Meh. Those who've chosen themselves into heaven and fight for what man has wrought against Soli Deo Gloria are their own god.

Juts another day of ridicule, mockery and hatred to commence from that side, unfortunately.

Finney said, and I'm paraphrasing here: "Getting into heaven is no different than making a career choice between and attorney and another career!"

...and they still believe him, just look at their false gospel that's built off that mans error.

Yep. Finneyites.

From what i have found via a quick search (one must trst all things)

I have most if not all of john calvins commentaires, could not find anything stating babies non elect are damned

Calvin says there are elect babies who die, they are saved by regeneration from god

Concerning non elect babies, they are condemned via origional sin, but judgement (damnation) does not occure until any person commits their own sin, thus one can assume, although a non elect baby is condemned, they would not be damned,

Is this what others have found? Is this true?

And Finney lied to get ordained as a Presbyterian minister then spent the rest of his life fighting against them and their doctrine. 🤦🏻‍♂️🐐

Yep, read a good work written up about this. I used to get my false gospel from there, unawares, like many in this thread do still to this day.

But then God...

Hi Preacher, please show me with the bible how this false notion can be true; that because God has chosen Christians from before the foundation of the world, that this means we can just stop doing any work? I do not see any personal incompatibility between God's Sovereignty and my ability to "make choices." there is no incompatibility.

To me if by God's pre-ordination He elects Christians to play on His team then its time to go to work not sit on our duffs, ya know. Our free will is in alignment with God's Sovereign will and that is a very good thing and calls for action not inaction am I right.

God's Sovereignty and the free will of the believer is compatible with predestination just like this; God puts each Christians on the train bound for glory, what we do on that journey is our free will no conflict.

Where's the disconnect between our will and God's will; there is none....:)

God bless!
Spiritual Blessings
(Romans 8:28-34)
3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. 4) For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love 5) He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6) to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.

God Works In All Things
(Ephesians 1:3-14)
28) And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. 29) For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30) And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.

Nothing I've stated or believe expresses or suggests we're to sit on our duffs. Yet the fact remains we're not saved via our will or decision. This fact has nothing to do with sitting on our duffs, nor does it imply we do. It's more complex than that.

The fact remains the only reason we've believed, confessed, "accepted," repented is because we were converted. Scripture is replete with showing us we are not saved via ourselves, our wills, efforts, or anything along those lines. It is Soli Deo GLoria!

God bless.

Hi Preacher, agreed nothing you have stated suggests we sit and do nothing, rather I should have said that some people believe that if God makes our choices "predestination" then what difference does it make what we choose. I say it matters what we choose because we align our will with God's will. What you say is fine just a misunderstanding. :)
