Hi FHS,

Page 5011, post 100,207

gb9 posted and asked

"The truth is that when one comes to Christ, that person is forgiven and saved the moment they truly believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour,

Agree or disagree??

Your response was

I addressed with you that basically you do not agree because you took faith out of equation.
And asked if that was the case.

You responded with

Now that response was different from the one you gave to gb9.

I have no idea whether you are trying to earn your salvation or not.
But given your response to gb9 it seems so.

To suggest that I believe genuine believers who want to follow Jesus and doomed to hell for doing so is totally disingenuous.

I have never ever ever ever suggested or implied anything of the sort, and never would.
You obviously have not read enough of my posts and experiences of life and how it has affected my walk with Jesus.
And everything he has had to do in me to take the crutches I walked on.

I agree totally with those who like me believe that we are saved by faith out of which we want to be like Jesus, that's our walk, our calling.

The people who in your quote above want to be Jesus that I believe are going to hell, is not what I'm saying nor those who believe what I do.

The problem for me that I see is that you say they do.
Your posts and responses are all over the place.

Even when I can see agreement you cannot.
It's like you are right and everyone is wrong.

As you say

Conversations have to work both ways.
I begin to see what you are saying. There is a problem in this medium, which I often fall into like many.
We say a sentence within a context in our minds, and it makes sense to us.
Another reads it, adding their own context which changes its meaning.

This makes things quite confusing. It is not confusing to say someone is speaking "a sick lie"

You agreed with this without correction or equivocation. There is a large difference between accepting
someone knows Jesus is walking in His ways and desires to be like Jesus, and someone else is saying this
person believes they are not saved until they reach a certain behaviour.

This is not a difficult point to make, but pure slander if wrong. And that is not something as followers of
Jesus we should be doing, slandering others.

And some do believe staying like the world is ok as a believer. Whether as part of this forum or otherwise,
it is a belief system of some. So this matters to me, especially here where it is claimed the Lord is being
honoured.

Today I saw the tight rope of the walk of faith, and noticed some do not see it, or even care it is there
and are quite happy to fall to their deaths, believing Christ has kept them safe.

But you agree with gb9, so God bless you, I know where you stand, thank you for that.

There is something here that is absurd. One comes to faith in Jesus, repents and starts to follow,
walking in communion with the Holy Spirit, using the gifts of the Spirit.

Another says you are earning salvation, a hypocrite, leading people to hell and doomed there yourself.
And their foundation is they believe you do not have to follow the path Jesus lays out, staying in sin
and evil behaviour is part of the christian walk, and any aspirations to righteousness are satans distraction
of self justification.

Sin always deceives, lies, slanders, tears down, calls good evil and evil good.
Any moral standard that makes people feel bad is decried so lawlessness and no
judgementalism rules. This is the spirit of the world and the enemy.

Jesus was called a sinner for being with sinners and empathising with them while
walking without sin. And He is our example, our shinning light at what a loving heart
can bring about Amen.

Yes slander is wrong.
Let us am not fall foul of that.
Jesus judges the heart.
But we need to understand what slandering is.
It's accusing another of something they did not say or their character.
I would not call you sick but can question your doctine as sick.
I suppose by inference that could feel that we are saying you are sick.
But we know Jesus those who are not sick do not need a doctor but those who are need a doctor.

The reality is that Jesus does keep us safe.
That's his promise.
Not based on our walk but based on our faith.
This faith leads to wanting true to be like Jesus and walking in the way asks us to do.

Jesus does keep us safe, but only in terms of us following Him and walking in faith.
A prophet was warned to walk within the limits of their mission, they failed and were killed.

Going outside Gods commands and leading carrys no security. This has always been His impartiality,
God is faithful to the righteous and those who love Him.

insanity begins when one refuses to accept black and white reality, and start to make up their own.

like the Gospel- believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved .

believe- place confidence in , entrust, to think to be true.

so, one is saved by this. the walk is a totally separate matter.

this is reality. do you accept it? or will you insist on rejecting it, and creating your own?
Brother..........some people will never be convinced of the truth on any given particular part of the bible...especially salvation <----ANY TRUTH beyond that is built upon succeeding layers of learned truth........MEAT belongs to them who are MATURE......and if one cannot even get salvation correct...how can they even have 1 iota of understanding anything beyond simple faith and how one is legally justified and saved before the God of HEAVEN......

THE natural man receives not the things of GOD, neither can he KNOW them for they are SPIRITUALLY discerned

A. HE will not RECEIVE them
B. NOR can he even KNOW them

It takes being actually BORN again from above by simple saving faith to EVEN begin to understand the word of GOD........

and where have I said that behavior does not matter?

what I say is this- we are saved by belief, faith, and trust in Christ. I gave the definition of the word believe earlier.

so, then, when one truly believes , then as a natural result, the behavior of the person begins to change.

but, that change is due TO salvation, not the changed behavior will lead to salvation.

you and your church and it's sick lie of a creed have it backward.

so, as I said, you are currently rejecting Biblical salvation , by faith and trust in Christ, and going with man made teaching, just yanking verses out of context, and ignoring word definitions , which I will always stand against, and never accept.

so, as I said, I see no need to continue to interact, as these things are incompatible.
The simple truth of--------->

FOR not BY
HOW not WHY
Results OF not TO OBTAIN

Let's have a banquet to celebrate like Nehemiah 8:10 - Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Do you think there is enough? I can always order more....
