You got me wrong, I actually liked PJ's post and I was actually agreeing with him.
I never said it was acting on impulse.

If you have taken that from my post let me know why and I will try to clarify.

As I said I agree with PJ and how love in us should work out in us which brings obedience.

PJ correct me if I got your post wrong.

Easy question:

DO THEY ALL FOLLOW THE LAW OR NOT?

Let's get down to the bottom line...
Wow you totally missed the point.

It explains a lot.

They all obey the law for different reasons.

Only one of the three have a saving faith in Jesus, his redeeming work on the cross and ressurection. Only one will inherit eternal life. The heirs.

The slave obeys the law because he is afraid he will be punished if he doesn't.

The servant obeys the law because he expects to be paid or get a reward.

A heir/child obeys out of love for His father and a true understanding of the fathers will.

Want to throw another insult at me today? Or will you actually apologize for your previous ones?

1. For hypocritically rebuking me for your misreading of the conversation about the matthew 6 passage I was discussing with Willybob (which you still haven't told him that it's to disciples/believers and not hypocrites as he claims)
2, for insinuations that I am too stupid to teach kids that it "scares you"

I have to say I am disappointed in you. I thought you had more maturity but you have proven me wrong,

Bill I think we all need to ask ourselves these questions from your song

It doesn't matter if you know the Bible
If it's all just in your head
But the thing I need to ask you
Is have you done the things I said?

Do you love your wife?
For her and for and for your children
Are you layin' down your life?
What about the others?

Are you livin' as a servant
To your sisters and your brothers?
Do you make the poor man beg you for a bone?
Do the widow and the orphan cry alone?
If course the ladies will need to change wife to husband, and die to obey but the idea is there.

What is it that calls us to do? How does God call us to walk?

All good conversation.

However it doesn't change that we are saved by grace through faith and nothing we did can earn this free gift from God. "Not by works" is still true no matter how many people want to deny it .

4Butc God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
(notice we are saved FOR good works NOT BY good works)

We are born again by His power and not our own. Do we have a saving faith in Christ and what he did upon the cross? Do we believe he rose again and ascended ito heaven? Do we have the Holy spirit to allow us to call God Abba father? Are we chastened and have our hearts and minds changed by walking with the Holy spirit? Are we a part of the body of Christ? Have we drink our milk and leaned how to eat meat? Are we firmly rooted in Christ? Are we mature and operating in the gifts of the Spirit, doing the works God created us to do?

God walks with us from the beginning when we first felt godly sorrow for our sins to the end when we will be glorified upon Christ return and the destruction of this world.

Yes. It is a really difficult question...

Did i ask you WHY they obey?
NO.

I asked this...
They all obey.

Is it necessary to obey.?

That requires a yes or no answer.
You wrote a whole page. Maybe because easy believers dont know the answer?

I don't disagree with what you are saying.

The reason I posted those lyrics is because it makes me think.

Am I loving people, whether it be my wife, the poor man I know the widow that I know.

I for sure believe we are saved by faith. We cannot escape that fact.

But we do have to examine ourselves or I should say that I ask God to examine my heart and reveal to me what he wants to deal within me.

Thinking is always good and at the end of the day...God's opinion of us and what He says to us is all that really matters.

Let me ask you this...,,,since I stated that they all obeyed the law....are all of them saved? Will all of them have eternal life?

Is it necessary to obey (aka never sin) to be saved? No.

Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus death on the cross for the remission of sins, ressurection and ascension into heaven. Only those sealed with the Holy spirit and able to call God abba father have a true saving faith.the rest are just pretenders.

Is it necessary to obey (aka follow the Holy spirit) to become mature and grounded in Christ?
Yes.

Therefore your question is incomplete.

Ahh another insult/lie instead of apology. I don't believe in easybelievism.

He sure did give many teachings, like the beatitudes, to show how completely unable were are to reach them.

Thereby pointing to Himself as the fulfillment.

We live in His perfection not our own feeble attempts to be like Him.
Amen UG......the life I know live I live by the FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD............he works IN US AND THROUGH US.....a very interesting point to be made.....

He had authority to lay his life down and TAKE IT UP AGAIN by the power and working of the Holy Spirit<--If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus dwell in you.......

Think about this...we live by his faith, his power, his Spirit dwelling in us.......that is why any work produced is of JESUS...apart from him we can do nothing....exactly why works do not save......they are the result of CHRIST already IN US BY FAITH.....

simple as even a child can understand it...........

Yeah view myself as a kid learning still to discern the difference between sheep and wolves, but I trust God to protect me from both. Some days the sheep with scrapie are scarier than the wolves,
Jesus calls all types <---the sons of thunder

If you try to obey the law you will always be a babe in Christ.

The meat is living in the House of Grace as a new creation in Jesus.

Not the mention that NO one can keep the law 24/7/365 without failing at some point.....

Abraham believed GOD and it was put to his account for righteousness....the word WORKS comes from your embellishment and is exactly what Satan did in the garden....you workers for know no bounds of deception and or fraud when dealing with the scriptures to push your false dogma

What deception on your part!
Did Abraham move far away from home because God told him to?
Did he give the choice land to Lot?
Did he bring Isaac up the hill Moriah?

Are those works?

What have we done today?

What opinion of fact would that be?

Would you care to explain to me the tense you're speaking of and which verses are erroneously translated so that they do not lead to what the bible says.

Could YOU please show me where, in the bible, it says that we are to do NOTHING, NO WORKS, JUST believe.

While you're at it, please explain what BELIEVE means biblically.

Thanks.
A nice coined reply phrase....no one states what you imply.....other than it is NOT NECESSARY to gain and or KEEP salvation......!!

"Living in the House of Grace" is a metaphor for Jesus.

My point is that the writer to Hebrews is telling the believers that they still needed to be taught the first principles
of God once more, because they were still needing Milk (first principles) but they needed to move on to spiritual maturity which is found in the meat.

The reason they were still feeding on the milk was because they were UNskillful in the word of RIGHTEOUSNESS which is Jesus, instead they were reverting back to the Law and keeping the Law or trying to repeat the first stages (Milk, the first principles) of their conversion to the faith in Jesus

While certainly "meat" carries with the ability to discern false teaching this is a result from being skillful in the word of Righteousness

Salvation is by righteousness, righteousness is found in Christ, that Righteousness becomes ours by faith. The meat is faith in the Righteousness of Christ, not reverting to obeying the law.

First of all meat isn't "living in the house of grace". It is discerning good from evil and determining good doctrine from false doctrine.

Secondly...the difference between a slave, a servant and a their is motive.

The slave follows the law because they will be punished if they don't.

A servant follows the law because they expect a reward or payment.

A Heir/child obeys the law because he/she loves their father and knows the wisdom of WHY the Father gave the command.

Why do you always list all the different bibles?

I have many bibles too.
They all say the same thing.

Do you hope to find a verse version that agrees with you?

You won't.

We do not follow the external law ....but the law that is written on our hearts. The law written on our hearts is Jesus, our life is hid with Him.

When we lean into His righteousness He will finish what He has started.

Easy question:
