@mailmandan, I tend to like a lot of your posts and often times you have Scripture in them and explain the bible well. You don't give me the impression of someone immature in Christ, but rather someone who has been walking with Jesus for quite some time and can lead others in their faith with grace.
Knowledge is not how you measure maturity in Christ.
Ironically, knowledge of the Bible is how you would know this.
But, as is quite clear, Christians are not good Bible readers.
And those who do read the Bible only see their favorite pet doctrines in the scriptures, not what the Bible actually says.

and they just love to condemn others to hell so much. so they say "i dont know about that hey i dont know. can you be doing that and be saved? not saved not saved not saved" they just love it. other people's sins are always different than your own. its the elitism attitude and pride.
Then 1 John was written by an elitist.

It's like you people don't even know what the Bible says.
You claim you have superior knowledge, yet you challenge these plainly written texts in the Bible that anyone with eyes can see for themselves.
what part of 1 john says that.
10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. - 1 John 2:10

And that's just one part.

What's funny is you must have forgotten that osas does what you are accusing me of doing. Osas people say that the person who stops believing was never saved to begin with. But I presume when you do it it's not done out of an "elitist attitude and pride", right? And it's certainly not 'judging', right?

Now that @Judges1318 has left again and I have stopped feeding the trolls.......
It's interesting how everyone who doesn't agree with osas doctrine around here is instantly labeled a troll. But as long as you post from a osas stance you will never be labeled a troll no matter how often or persistently or badly behaved you post.

Okay Judges, be careful, you may be entering "Stage Three" of the well known melt downs that have occurred on this thread
I think what you are referring to is when you all push and provoke with your meanness until you get the one who resists and opposes your sacred osas doctrine to do something to get them banned. Not very godly to say the least. Very immature in fact.

what you perceive is back biting is a resistance to your constant belittling of the sacrifice of Jesus.
When you belittle and insult and tear down posters when they're not on line, or left the forum, or whatever, that's called backbiting. That is the sign of an immature believer, or, in accordance with John, someone who is not even saved to begin with.

And just to be clear, I give most of you the benefit of the doubt and think you people simply do not have the 'Spirit' part of the 'water and the Spirit' Jesus talks about in John 3:5. You've all made decisions to follow Christ to some degree or another but you have not entered into a spiritual relationship with God yet. Knowledge does not reveal whether this has happened or not, behavior does.

What is is like to live each day never really knowing if you are going to make the grade.... there is no peace there and you know that....
I don't know, ask your osas friends.
Osas is the doctrine that says you know if you are saved by whether or not you persevere to the very end.
So, until the end arrives you people can't ever know if you're really saved or not.
There's always tomorrow to show you haven't 'really' believed all along.

In Biblical doctrine, if you believe today you are indeed very much saved today. But you? You have to wait to see if you endure to the very end to see if you're really saved. But by then, if you didn't, it's too late. And that's supposed to be the doctrine of security.

I believe the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of love and the closer one walks with Jesus, the more love one will demonstrate to others.
Bingo!

This is what I've been saying.
Not a lot of love in this forum.
That shows the lack of spiritual closeness to God most people in on-line forums and the church have.
They have knowledge of their pet doctrines, but they show by how they behave that they have yet to 'know' God.

How a person conducts themselves in matters of differing doctrines reveals whether or not God approves of them.

19No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. - 1 Corinthians 11:19

Our differences reveal if we have intimate knowledge of God. There is no "Well done, good and faithful servant!" praise for the one who backbites and tears down those they disagree with. God does not put his stamp of approval on the person who behaves that way. That is an immature, disobedient person who has yet to 'know' God.

I wasn't going only off of knowledge of the bible but also the perception of gentleness.

Judges, I also seen you doing backbiting as well coming back, where as before you seemed more polite.

I believe we all sin. I believe each person has some pride and selfishness. If you go off being kind to others for knowing if your saved you may be down one minute up another.
I have been told I'm sweet and kind but I have my moments.
Many times I know I have responded out of anger instead of following Jesus example.

Something I love about Jesus is how gracious he was to people who called him mean names. He often seemed to turn insults at him into a teaching moment to the people. Even in his rebuke to the leaders, I could see how he loved people.

Yep. That is what happened. God as my witness.
Wow! That's quite a coincidence!

I know you osas people love to play these games about how and when your resisters post, and it's got to stop.
It's not a game and postings (time and date of each post) are listed in everyone's profile. Not hard to figure out.

You don't know about our lives, and it's none of your business anyway. You are all way to arrogant looking down your noses from your ivory towers of your (supposed) superior knowledge. Stop judging and meddling in people's internet lives. Time to grow up!
Your anger and bitterness is becoming more and more obvious. You sound like you are having a meltdown.

You, like so many people in the church seem so utterly ignorant of the right the Bible gives to believers to decide who we will consider to be a believer and who we will not. You call it 'judging', in every negative sense of the word. But the Bible says it's what you're supposed to do. You people know a lot about your osas doctrines and how to make the Bible support it but you know little about anything else. This is one example. Most of you have blinders on and can't see anything else in the Bible besides your sacred osas doctrine. You are babies. But you think you are grown up and knowledgeable and wise.
You consistently paint believers in the OSAS camp with a broad brush of either being babes in Christ or not believers at all. Have you ever met a OSAS believer that you considered to be grown up and knowledgeable and wise by your standards? You seem to believe that ONLY those in the NOSAS camp are capable of being grown up and knowledgeable and wise.

From my experience, many people in the NOSAS camp are quick to judge OSAS believers as promoting a license to sin and seem to view themselves as "holier than thou." Also, 'ALL' false religions and cults (who teach salvation by works) strongly oppose OSAS, which has always been a red flag for me! I grew up in the Roman Catholic church and for years listened to Catholic priests constantly attack OSAS and make fun of Protestants and accuse them of lacking in knowledge, yet these Catholic priests were clueless to the fact they were promoting a false gospel of works salvation. So pardon me if I don't seriously consider any form of rebuke from someone in the NOSAS camp.

But don't try to take away my right to decide who I'm going to consider a real brother and who I won't. Right now, I don't know about you.
If I was NOSAS then you would most likely consider me to be a real brother. It amazes me to see over the years on various Christian forums how people in the NOSAS camp are quick to join hands and sing 'kumbaya' together in unity over NOSAS, even if certain members in the group that they are holding hands with attend a false religion or cult and teach a false gospel.

At best you seem to only have the 'water' part of 'water and of the Spirit' (John 3:5) down (and that is where most of the church is at).
Either we are born of BOTH water AND Spirit or else we are not. Believers do not merely have one or the other. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Though I used to have a higher opinion of you. But your participation in our discussions gradually eroded until I could not consider you much better than the other poorly behaved participants in this thread.
I used to consider you to be more patient and sincere, but now your angry, bitter true colors are really showing and it's disturbing! What happened to you? :(

Your biggest problem is your pride, your arrogance. This does seem to be the one defining characteristic of the osas believer.
You need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

You are really bad people most of the time. You hate and murder over doctrines. And you have little to no clue as to what the Christian life is really all about. You are still sucking on the (sour) milk of your erroneous doctrine of osas salvation and know nothing about the meat of the word and the discerning between evil behavior and good that you should be growing up into:

"For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses excised to discern both good and evil." - Hebrews 5:13-14
Bad people most of the time? Hate and murder over doctrines? You are over the top! o_O Apparently to you the Christian life seems to be all about NOSAS and attacking people in the OSAS camp. Losing salvation is mainly all you talk about.

Most of you osas people show by your behavior that you are still babies in Christ.....or not really saved at all.
Where does that leave most NOSAS people? It doesn't concern you in the least that ALL false religions and cults promote NOSAS?

But don't try to take away my right to decide who I'm going to consider a real brother and who I won't. Right now, I don't know about you.
You seem to only consider those in the NOSAS camp as most likely being real brothers and sisters in Christ and EVERYONE in the OSAS camp in your eyes as being either babes in Christ or not saved at all. Your NOSAS bias is making your decisions for you.

At best you seem to only have the 'water' part of 'water and of the Spirit' (John 3:5) down (and that is where most of the church is at).
We are either born of water AND the Spirit or else we are not. It's not just one or the other. You talk about pride and arrogance characterizing OSAS believers, yet just listen to yourself!

You people do not know the depth of wickedness that you dwell in. And your osas doctrine keeps you from seeing it.
You are still a baby in Christ. Or, you're not even saved to begin with. Which one is it?
See, while you're busy learning all about and teaching your osas dogma I'm busy learning and teaching all about knowing and living for Christ. You take false comfort out of your so-called knowledge. You think correct doctrine means you know Christ. You are in serious error.

OSAS is ......Once one is saved...... One is always saved .... God PRESERVES 100%

One Gospel of total complete salvation in Him.

Your adhomin attacks mean nothing to me..I only care about the truth of the Gospel.
