Romans 4

12 [/SUP]and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.
romans 4 :4 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?[a]2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[b] 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

The law condemns anyone wh one who does not follow it the way I showed you god requires, the fact you still can not grasp this should be your first concern

the legalist loves the law, because they think they can obey it, and by this they will earn salvation
I am sad.
Paul simply says we fulfil the law by loving our neighbour

Now this is not what I read from your words.

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
rom 13:10

It does not come clearer than this.

What I observe is some people want to make non-legalists, legalists and then
deny clear teaching from Paul.

we are against salvation by works, not works. If you would listen you would know that
And who here said you are saved by works alone? Can you find the post here?

Maybe scan this thread if you have a few months to spare. And then let us have the posting #.

Read gal 3.

Tha HS gets old Peter, you can not cherry pick passages, you must read them all

all that said is love fulfills the law. It does not say the law fulfills love. You have it backward

Word: dikaiow

Pronounce: dik-ah-yo'-o

Strongs Number: G1344

Orig: from 1342; to render (i.e. show or regard as) just or innocent:--free, justify(-ier), be righteous. G1342

Use: TDNT-2:211,168 Verb

Heb Strong: H974 H2135 H6663 H7378 H8199

  1. 1) to render righteous or such he ought to be
    2) to show, exhibit, evince, one to be righteous, such as he is and wishes himself to be considered
    3) to declare, pronounce, one to be just, righteous, or such as he ought to be

This same word is used both in Romans 4 and James 2. Why are you trying to portray a different word in your post above???

Try again.
Because it IS a different word pal....copied VERBATIM from the GREEK text...the ONLY REASON you reject is because it contradicts your false ideology.....

See that bolded in Red? It means the rest of that scripture posted by you needs to be seen in light of man's own strength. See that?

No one can be justified by his own works.

We can only be justified by faith (and works). By leaving faith out of the equation there is no justification. Similarly, faith without works is a dead faith. So you are left with only one alternative. Faith and works.

The Strongs concordance uses the right Greek. Yes or No?

Yes.

You need to change your Greek manuscript.

if Abraham was justified by work he has something to boast,

stop rying to twist scripture

paul said we are saved by faith alone, whoever is saved, like Abraham will produce works

james agrees, the faith that produces works is saved, otherwise it is mere belief.

your work will never cause god to forgive you of 1 sin, only the cross will grant forgives of sin.

Nope. James said the following:

James 2
[SUP]24 [/SUP]You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

Look at how you twisted the plain scriptures above (in orange). You should be ashamed of yourself. In plain view of all here to see. You need to get right with God and repent of this twisting.

A literal GREEK rendering copied VERBATIM from the GREEK text...you should be ashamed for lying about me without the facts...more of your working for I assume PAL...MAYBE you should study more before you falsely accuse and bloviate! Thanks for proving to all you are not honest and falsely accuse.......

Show me me one person who judged anyone who believes in works alone, can you?
Regardless....Galatians is clear as well....works alone and or faith plus works....both are false......and neither will save.....look at post 13313....he accuse me of twisting so I copied the whole thing to prove he was falsely accusing....par for the course with him....Still trying to figure out how that helps his working for salvation

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ROMANS

For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

Justified--δικαιοῦσθαι

dikaioó: to show to be righteous, declare righteous
Original Word: δικαιόω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: dikaioó
Phonetic Spelling: (dik-ah-yo'-o)
Short Definition: I make righteous, defend the cause of, justify
Definition: I make righteous, defend the cause of, plead for the righteousness (innocence) of, acquit, justify; hence: I regard as righteous.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

justified--ἐδικαιώθη,

Ἀβραὰμ ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν οὐκ ἐξ ἔργων ἐδικαιώθη, ἀνενέγκας Ἰσαὰκ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον;

Abraham the father of us, NOT BY WORKS WAS JUSTIFIED, having offered Isaac the son of him upon the altar.

Yep....Paul and James agree....a man is not justified by works....neither as Abraham justified by the work of offering Isaac.....

The works are the result of FAITH...it is the FAITH that saves and justifies.....the works are the result of something ALREADY possessed in Christ.........
Worth another look at how bad that distortion was. In orange.
