I’ve been told we should stick to the OP....we aren’t saved by works.

If you want to debate OSAS start a new thread.
First of all.....I started this thread, no you...

Second....eternal security is biblical and tied directly to salvation by grace through faith

Third....if you want to peddle a self maintained, self sustained losable salvation....GO start YOUR OWN thread..

@eternally-gratefull has been here posting for a long time...you have no right to tell him.to do anything newbie......!!!!

Go start your own (I gloat in myself thread)

Exodus 33:11
Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.

Deuteronomy 34:10
Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,

Deuteronomy 5:4
The Lord spoke to you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire,

Genesis 32:30
So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been preserved.”

Numbers 14:14
and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, O Lord, are in the midst of this people, for You, O Lord, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

Judges 6:22
When Gideon saw that he was the angel of the Lord, he said, “Alas, O Lord God! For now I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face.”

Ezekiel 20:35
and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
Funny how scripture makes the bloviators look like they never read the bible.....hey?

Gifts are not earned but most certainly can be lost.

Better not use that argument again, it’s easily defeated.
False alert by a religionist

IRREVOCABLE IS THE word that applies to the GIFTS and CALLING OF GOD....and he LOSES NOTHING, KEEPS us by HIS POWER and promises NEVER TO leave us or FORSAKE US and even goes on to say...

If we become FAITHLESS he ABIDES FAITHFUL BECAUSE HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF

Make no mistake about it, what you peddle and sell like a street organ player in Bombay with a dancing monkey for coin IS not biblical!

Obedience results in an increase in faith for sure.
Another false alert.....this premise ABSOLUTELY contradicts scripture and faith being given, dealt in measure and INCREASED by study, maturity and growth....ANY AND All Obedience is a RESULT OF THE FAITH one already possesses!

One thing is obvious

you do not understand osas at all

No she does not understand eternal salvation is an once and for all event. Like I said once I began reading her posts, she still preaches the same ole mantra that there is no such thing as OSAS and she still preaches "work" is what we must do if we truly love God. I've heard her mantra many times before on that now defunct site.

I must say...God asked me to go back to church..before the corona virus hit us.....I went back after not going for 25 yrs.....was that obedience?..I believe it was......my faith has increased since going back...plus the blessings I have received is unbelievable...he has brought past friends back into my life..my son is buying me a car..haven’t had one for over 2 yrs....the peace in my spirit is amazing...I feel at peace with God.
What do you make of that?
God asked you hey.....25 years of counting the blood of Jesus a common ordinary base thing and trampling him under your feet and GOD ASKED YOU you say.....hilarious

I just posted this in another... Abraham believed was Counted righteousness then did a work to show or prove his faith... Circumcisions.. You can't throw out works.. they prove your faith
I don't think anyone is throwing out works but we can't do enough to save ourselves. Works should be part of the outpouring of gratitude and obedience, but they will never be enough to save us.

1 work, 50 works, 43673833 works <--None will ever save, help save, top off salvation, finish salvation, help keep saved.....

Salvation is a One off eternal event in the past with present continuing results based upon faith and due to grace.....

Any GOOD work is Jesus through US and why HE GETS THE GLORY and the children of God will have every gambit of works both good and bad in our lives when we "BOW" and give our account before Jesus....!

I’ve known me longer than you have and can say with 100% certainty that you do not understand what I think at all. I’ve pointed out before examples of where you are wrong.
I know thoroughly what you believe. You do not know what I believe and I, not you, am the best judge of this.
HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAH WOW this last statement takes the cake for contradiction.......I wish I could say what I think about your statement without getting banned!

Do you just laugh AT me or do you admit I was right? So far all your laughing faces were jeering.

It was funny but you need to do something different than the jeering you do in a serious discussion if you genuine thought it was a nice touch on my part. It looks like laughed AT which is your habit. You’re asked a serious question and you “laugh” which is scoffing.
No one, including those with a basic, honest understanding of the word of God would agree with you, and or even think you were close to being right!

The doctrine takes bits and pieces from disconnected verses to form their position. Individual statements that have nothing to do with their conclusions. If it were not so, one writer would have expounded upon it as an understanding in one piece.

Others to include Jesus talked about falling away. Believers are warned to take care over and over. The case against the doctrine is strong but the emotional response against those who present it is vicious. Just watch what posts I get after this. I’m talking about the doctrine. They’ll talk about ME.
If you subscribed to a doctrine that believers could lose their salvation due to things they either do or don't do, you will take it either from the 4 gospels, or from Hebrews to Revelations, doctrine directed to Israel.

Peter, for example, teach all the Jews that salvation is something they can look forward "in the future", it is never present for them now.

Acts 3:19-20
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Acts 3:19 stated that Israel's sins will only be blotted out (past tense) when the times of refreshing shall come. That is not happening now.

If their sins are not blotted out now, how can any of them be saved now?

1 Peter 1 repeats what Peter stated in Acts 3.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

However, if you instead subscribed to OSAS, you will take it from Romans to Philemon, which your detractors here are basically doing.

I often weave it into my words to test who knows scripture or whose thinking matches it. It’s pretty interesting when a member disagrees with a verbatim quote cause they thought I said it when actually Jesus did.
Honesty alludes your posts....You embellished your quote with WORKS and made a big, false allegation....get your facts straight and be honest.....seriously you are becoming a joke!
