Sack-N-Ashes,

What is the point of your questioning?

You have the scripture. I quoted the scripture.

What does that have to do with me? I am not God.

God said not to sin willfully. So I choose to take heed to that scripture and not commit any sins, including an act done in willful disobedience to the word.

If you have something to say, just say it. Why play this game?
You keep saying willfully sin. I’m asking you what sins do ppl commit that aren’t willful. Do ppl lie and it’s not a willful lie? Do ppl steal and it’s not a willful act? Do ppl murder and it’s not a willful act? Name one sin that is done against their will.

In the “Not by works, False” thread...

dcontroversal said:
Another lie peddled by a Calvin worshipper......since you agree with Jaywalker.....this sin is not covered under the blood...wilfull lies, false allegations.....maybe Calvin can pray or intercede for you?

Your response to DC is here...

“You talking to preacher of lies again?”

Here it is for all to see. Now, lie some more!

Reading the post of dc is troubling. He is way out of control of himself. But did I go running to report him for his slander and lies? No. Let him keep doing it, they know what I think about it under ignore and that is good enough for me.

Have a good night.

I'm not interested in playing games.
It’s not a game. You said willfully sin. My point is all sins are willful in intent. No one sins against their will. That’s why I keep asking you to show me one sin that ppl commit that isn’t willful in intent.

Hebrews 10
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

It's about returning to willful SIN.

Not about returning to the old testament!

Can't you read!?

yes. And in context.

The context of willful sin in Hebrews 10:26 is practicing sin. No true saved person lives a life where they practice sinning. 1 John 3 addresses this as well.
Actually the more straightforward interpretation is that it refers to taking the mark of the beast during the Tribulation.

If you are believer in Jesus at the start of the 7 years, but you chose to take the mark sometime before the end, you will be eternally condemned, with no hope to get back.

so glad chrisitans can do anythign they want and not lose salvation , saved having to count the cost , carry the cross and put the flesh down.

Hallelujah , brothers and sisters, i want to join that church and sin as much as i want.
Why do you want to sin?

Sounds like an oxymoron and a straw man argument to me.
OSAS is full of them. Or circular logic like if you’re saved you’ll never fall away and if you fall away you were never saved.

Mailmandan said no true christian refuses to confess sin revealed by the Holy Spirit. So I asked if a professing true christian refuses to do so (like those who think all future sins are already forgiven with no confession and repentance required) are they then not tell a true christian? It’s pretty obvious he doesn’t want to think about that one. He just keeps talking about ever confessing which is not what I asked.

No they aren’t. No child of God born of water, born of Spirit will ever be in a place where they aren’t chastened. Just like my Dad and his belt. Though God doesn’t use a belt. We will always be His.

That’s eternal security.

If OSAS means one can go his own way, yet be saved? That’s not scriptural.
That’s the same as OSAS. They are the same. Both bring a blindness.

My opinion is once we are BORN AGAIN, HE causes our Human Spirit to change from once dead to becoming eternally alive.
We then will want to confess SIN, even when we remember what we did in the past, that was SIN. It just comes out of us, not that we think if we DON'T we will not be forgiven. IT IS OUR NEW NATURE OF OUR HUMAN SPIRIT. We will want to confess SINS, weather it be
Past, Present, or FUTURE. Not that we Confess Sins that we already CONFESSED before, AND HE HAS FORGOTTEN THEM, but once in a
while a fresh Memory, I remember something that I did, in the past, that was SIN, but have forgotten, and instantly in my mind I say,
"LORD, please forgive me!"

I have a question for you, "Many of us have Quoted Scripture to you, and you just DISMISS IT.
So how is it that you can dismiss those verses so easily?
Are you pondering the VERSE FIRST, OR Automatically Dismiss because it came from a OSAS BELIEVER?
I know the theory, VCO. I also know there are Christians whose theology assured them all future sins are already covered and forgiven same as the past ones so there’s no reason to confess. I’m asking if the OSAS crowd still calls them true christians although they are not changed and want to confess sin.

As to the second question, the slant you put on it defies most of the rest of the Bible. Do you want to discuss those scriptures? The scripture you quote from John about hose who left weren’t a part of and say mean those who later leaves were never saved is not referring to leaving being a sign one was never saved. It’s not talking about salvation from the text. If I ask you how you know you will never leave which means you aren’t saved today, you won’t answer, likely. Mailmandan woukdn’t answer that question but instead changed the question.

I don’t dismiss them. I know the OSAS interpretation is wrong. I know the rest of the Bible too. Do you want to discuss those scriptures you will find hard to answer intelligently?

OSAS .. means once saved always saved.

Does becoming born from above take God out of the picture or put God in the picture?... so their slander has no merit... ... it comes from

ignorance and a perversion of Grace.
Does being born from above take free choice out of the picture? We who insist obeying God is part of the Kingdom of God humble ourselves as asked and find grace to obey are not the grace changers Jude writes of.

Yes...like the truth you spoke of me....came from God did it....he testified that of me to your spirit did he???

Post above DorothyMae...from you to me!
It’s not important to discuss. Stone doesn’t understand that correction can hurt feelings and that a faith that is wrong IS weak already and needs to be “hurt” so that the truth is found. God’s correction hurts. But the end is a strong faith knowing one has the truth. It is not afraid of questions and does not call those who oppose nasty names.

mental effort. Where do you get that, I made a decision with no effort. God did all the work. At the moment of faith, it just happened,

Once again, my faith did not come from my effort, that is where the disconnect is., yu think things about me which are not true, maybe because it is what you are taught?

your riht, abraham made no effort.. nor did I.

but we both had free will and could have said no in the end, in which case we would never have heard of abraham and I would not be here now
If people don’t have faith, is it then God’s fault for not doing for them what He did for you?
