We are saved FOR righteous conduct/good works; not by righteous conduct/good works. Big difference.
Please tell them that. They, imo, think any work for God is not warrented. From what I have witnessed here with this new gospel is its a do nothing gospel. I don't get it. Any move to do Gods will seems like evil to them. I can't understand it.

I do have a great passion for Christ!..here is what knowing Him does for me.

I was also praying one morning and thinking about how the grace of Christ has affected me. I had the scripture come up where the Pharisees were arguing about whether a man was born blind or not after Jesus healed him. Of course the Pharisees were trying to discredit the message of Jesus. The man said.." All I know is that I was born blind but now I see."

This is what the gospel of the grace of Christ has done in my life:

I realize that these beliefs in the grace of God....especially the acceptance grace and the total forgiveness that Jesus bought and paid for with His blood....that these can be offensive to our religious beliefs and what we have been taught in church.

This gospel of the wondrous grace of Christ has had a beautiful affect on me. I am more in love with Jesus and the Father more then ever....in love with studying His word....praying in the spirit constantly with a heart full of joy!

This gospel has given me a compassion for other people and to reach out in love to them. To give more than I ever have with a heart full of love.

To live a holier life in Him...to be a witness of the life and love of our Lord in me.

If these are the horrible fruit of the grace of Christ in me....I want more!.....give me more grace please my Lord and God!

I am living a much fuller life now, more deeply in love with Jesus and the Father then ever, free from the horrible religion of self-effort, having the love of God pour out to me to help others now that I understand the grace that is in Christ then I did when I was doing the self=performance based gospel ( which is not the gospel )

I was blind but now I see. I see Jesus and His finished work for me!

It will always be in eternity "Worthy is the Lamb"..it will never be.."Worthy is the Lamb......and me..because I did my own D.I.Y self-righteousness/holiness to help Jesus out"

It has always been about Jesus and Him alone and it will always remain that for all eternity.

The problem as I see it, the grace only crowd would call righteous conduct a "works based salvation".

Only if you listen to people like herosefromthedead, and other people who lie about what we believe.

This where you err by conflating justification with sanctification. GOD provides the spirit that sanctifies the vessel, but he doesn't control what vessel is filled with.

God justifies. That is forever.

He will sanctify,, Not everyone will be sanctified the same, But all his children will be sanctified.

As Hebrews says, By one offering he has perfected FOREVER those being sanctified.

God does not force people to be sanctified, They do it willingly.

IMO it's rooted in the Augustinian concept of total inability. Once this belief gets internalized, it paralyzes because it becomes heresy to believe that man has the ability to do righteous deeds. Augustine, of course, was a "former" gnostic whose view of GOD derived from Platonic dualism.

“Plato gave me knowledge of the true God, Jesus Christ showed me the way." - Augustine

Do you understand blood atonement from the old testament?

rom 3: 23. For all have sinned and FALL SHORT of the glory of God.

That's total inability.

if you would stop reading historians, who are not alive anymore. and stop trying to put people in groups. You might actually start to see what people are saying.

Stay holy as he commanded.

We have been declared holy, because of what Christ did. Our holiness has nothing to do with us. We have been declared righteous, holy, and sinless because Jesus is righteous, holy, and sinless.

It is imputed - not earned.

What happens when you defile your vessel?

I've never seen a more messed up definition of justification and sanctification than this.

No sir, i don't think so. Could you explain how this means we are to do nothing for God?

Who is saying this?

You keep making these accusations, But I have yet to see one person who believes we would never do work for god..

If your going to make accusations, back them up.
