The other ones will be celebrated
please back that up with scripture. not long fulfilled stuff:
"And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles" (Zechariah 14:16).
but as far as I can tell, Sukkot is the only one you could say is a shadow of the future.
in what way? sukkot was a remembrance of the exodus from slavery. the typology for us through Christ and slavery to sin is obvious.
we also have a direct application to Christ himself here:
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth"
when the people settled in the land, sukkot was known as the feast of ingathering, and the season of our rejoicing. Sukkot was one of three festivals when every adult male
was required to come to the temple in Jerusalem.
so, we already have a problem. most seriously, however, for those claiming to keep this feast today: at sukkot,
70 bulls, 14 rams, and 98 lambs were sacrificed.
anyway, the people were commanded to rejoice: in Jerusalem. levitical priests made music.
on the 7th day of sukkot a priest carried a golden pitcher to the pool of Siloam at the temple mount, where it was filled with living or moving water, and carried back to the temple. the water was poured into a silver basin beside the altar and the priest prayed that the Lord would send rain. PENTECOST
with me so far....wasn`t Jerusalem filled with the ingathered from the diaspora...yes.
John 7
“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If any man is thirsty, let him come
to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow streams of living water.’ ” But this He spoke
of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive;
for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”
since God had departed the temple long ago due to their sin, what did we have here, but God dwelling (tabernacle) with them in Person. and he announced it the very day of that feast.
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth"
Emmanuel.
how on earth can anyone say Jesus Christ Emmanuel who tabernacled with man, then SENT God the holy spirit as the living waters
from the pool of SENT is not the fulfillment of sukkot.
i dont know. perhaps you have more information.
