Good Afternoon Brother,

I tweaked it a little - let me know if this gives more clarity - Peace

While I know nothing of these men you speak of, I do however, know of the One who established the Day of Pentecost.

Now, we know that God does not permit denominational entry into the Kingdom of CHRIST.

HE does however emphasize that only Born-Again Children are permitted in.
Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life, no man enters Heaven but thru Christ and Christ alone.
HE also emphasizes that the Baptism in His Holy Spirit is the 2nd PROMISE of God that we are to CHERISH.

HE who established, forever, His Word is the TREE of LIFE where only Good Fruit can be found All Year Long.
That TREE is ALIVE and ETERNAL and HE made the Path clear for us to follow.

So the TREE of LIFE gives us this Pathway and Unction:

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

MEDITATE: If the Disciples who walked with Christ, experienced His miracles firsthand, seen Lazarus raised from the dead, stood at the Feet of the Cross watching Christ bleed out in tremendous scandalous suffering and then experienced His Resurrection for 40 days could not go out into the world to proclaim the Good News until SOMETHING ELSE took Place - shouldn't everyone who believes in Him be seeking the SAME PROMISE of the Father..............

Why would anyone speak against the Promise of the Father???

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow." James 1:17
You left out the line for which I was asking clarification: "IF there were to be a denominational identity approved by God it would be 'Pentecostal'."

If I understand him right he's saying saying the only denomination on which God would put His stamp of approval (if, that is, He approved of denominations) would be the Pentecostal denomination. I'm just curious what he bases this on.

Would you like to see unity and fellowship with LDS, Catholics, and Jehovah's witnesses?
For them to relinquish their error/heresies and come to a fuller knowledge of the Truth? Most assuredly :)

The problem with TB and those like it is that they are usually non denominational. There is no overseer over the pastor, he's top dog. Sometimes there is a legit move, but it's quickly taken over by opportunists. Then there is no one to stop them from going too far.

My own home church saw this type of movement. It started out slowly and then we began to see things that were not right. We who disagreed talked to the pastor and his response was he didn't want to "steady the ark" even though he didn't totally agree with what people were doing. Before it was over we saw people barking like dogs, "birthing something spiritual" , line dancing, half of the church would fall down "laughing in the spirit". Attending church was like Jumanji people flinging themselves in every direction. Our main people were stunned by it all. Finally they were able to get this pastor out. People had come from all around to see the circus.

By the time we got rid of the pastor and all of his followers and had the main church back again, our people were devastated. It took years to get over the damage that had been done. I had known this pastor all my life and I hate to judge him. But when this movement came people packed the church to the doors and the money was flowing. I've been gone from home for many years and the church is still there today. That pastor moved to the city in another state and I've never heard of him since then. It was a very sad and difficult time for our church.
The enemy has a counterfeit for the move of the Holy Spirit = unfortunately as what occurred in your church.

I have experienced, privately and with a few brethren, the true laughter in the Holy Spirit which is a bubbling up of Great Joy because of His Truth and Spirit inside us.
Again, this only occurred about a dozen times or so in 30 Years of my walk in Him and is something beautiful but mostly private.
I do not assign myself to following 'movements' but test everything against the Word.

Where did you get the idea that "holy laughter" is from the Holy Spirit? Is it in scripture?

I left it out per your request, to 'simplify'.

A.) IF there were to be a denominational identity approved by God it would be 'Pentecostal'.

B.) Now, we know that God does not permit denominational entry into the Kingdom of CHRIST.

C.) There are 3 MAIN Promises of God for us = Find them and embrace all 3 as many have been misled.

***Footnote for C.) Yes, there are many precious promises of God = they are all found in Christ

YES, it is in Scripture - HalleluYah
You talk about this so-called manifestation of the Spirit as if it simply goes with the territory. But whose territory? What scriptures, specifically? Chapter and verse.

Heavenly Throne Room Territory

But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?
Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

FYI - God likes Dreamers, of which I am one.

When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
And we are glad.

Dreams from Above come down with His Love
Gifts for His Bride given by the Father of Lights
No need to hide these Gifts of Light
Brighter and Brighter the Day beams thru the night
Gather yourselves unto Me under the LIFE TREE
Shade by Day and bears Fruit in the night
the enemy draws near but flees in fright
Why, oh why, would your heart deny My Love
That which I give to My Bride on Wings of a Dove

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control—against such things there is no law."—Galatians 5:22-23

Nope, no uncontrollable laughter here.

Come to think about it, I don't recall laughter as being so much as mentioned in passing as a Spiritual gift.

It's not anything I have personally experienced. I dislike the naming of everything that happens in church. I would say it's more like over flowing joy, usually when someone has been delivered of fear and anxiety. RA is good at knee capping brothers and sisters in Christ. To bad we're not all as perfect as he is. Here are some verses that talk about what I believe about "holy laughter" the term I personally dislike.

Psalm 30:11: “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.”

Job 8:21: “He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.”

Psalm 98:4: “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!”

Psalm 126:2:We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, ‘What amazing things the Lord has done for them.’”

Luke 6:21: “God blesses you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied. God blesses you who weep now for in due time you will laugh.”

If anyone has been lifted and delivered of a burden or anxiety and receives the joy of the Lord, I think they would understand. I don't believe in the fad that people tried to drum up out of it, I don't believe it is a congregational thing. I believe it is a more personal experience.

TRUTH = Laughter is a true gift of God's love for the entire world = both saved and unsaved.

Correct: Uncontrollable laughter is not a Gift of the Holy Spirit.

TRUTH = Laughter is an expression of Great JOY in the LORD

Where do you find laughter as either a Spiritual gift or Spiritual fruit? I'm still looking for that.

What you're doing is expecting me to just take your word for it. Why should anyone listen to you if you don't don't speak from the scriptures?

I don't listen to strangers.

"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."—John 8:31-32

Come to think about it, I don't recall laughter as being so much as mentioned in passing as a Spiritual gift.
it is an expression, which if you read the Word of God in praise to the Lord is very much a Verb = action something you do to God.

Praise God are many ways and forms listed in the word of God:

the verses below are just a small portion.
  • Pslams 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
  • Pslams 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah
  • Ecc A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
  • Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
The word of God say to make a joyful noise unto HIM.

Laughing is an expression of Joy,(you self-proclaimed psychologist should know this) I know some of you think laughing at church is a sin as some sit in the frozen chosen section like Pharisees and if you smiled at someone in church your face would break.

They mocked David as He danced before the Lord BUT God said David was a man after God's own heart. They mocked on the day of Pentecost "they are drunk" at the expression of the Holy Spirits' empowerment.

The word of God shows us that praise and worship are spirit, soul, and body of the person to GOD

Praise we are to give the Lord is of our hearts and mind and expression of praise are seen in the word of God :

  • hand raised
  • shout to the Lord
  • dance and play instruments to the Lord
  • jumping, crying out, and singing

Emotions a person displayed in the bible when the Holy Spirit touches people:

they prophesied, spoke in tongues, danced, laughed expressed Joy, cried, weep, shouted proclaimed the word of God, testified, lifted their hands, sang, played music made songs to the Lord, and on and on it goes as it does today.

Focus on Copland, and Hinn and others try to associate all the word of God shows in praise and worship to be fake and of the devil.

When a person gets saved, healed, and delivered you can seek to attack as the Pharisees did to our Lord.
While the people rejoiced in the Lord. Please be my guess :).

Only If one does what you think they should do, it is of God. Those like that are half-baked cakes, sitting in dead churches speaking to those who say amen to all they agree with even if the word of God says different.

They have not seen healing so it doesn't happen today. They claim miracles don't happen as they did in the Bible LOL. Like they can be on the earth at all places at one time to get an accurate report of all God is doing to validate the word of God. Fake news reporters of the word of God.

These professing Christians use secular and humanist reasoning to discredit the word of God. Even will seek out the Occult practices to associate the gifts of the Holy Spirit to the devil. hateful unloving people.
