Are you Jesus? I don't think so...

Yes, we have Christ in us, and God is our father. But until the return of Christ when we will be CHANGED, we all still have our old sin nature to deal with. We are to reckon him dead, but there's not a person living who is 100% successful at this. Therefore, you are not perfect.
The return of Christ is Christ in you. He is knocking at your door this day wanting to come to you and be in you. It is YOU who is suposed to be that person of Christ. And the moment you do let Him come -- you will be changed, and you will NOT have a sin nature to deal with, And everyone who Christ has come to and made His abode in is 100% sucessful and 100% cleansed from sin and perfect even as He is perfect.

did God manifest Himself in the likeness of sinful flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ?

what kind if body did Jesus RISE from the grave with?

did Christ Ascend into Heaven in a body? what kind?

Oh He is raised in Spirit, the flesh man is gone. The Spirit man remains. The message in the cross is death the the flesh man and resurrection of the Spirit man. The example of what is supposed to happen in you with the old man dead and the new man arise.

Jesus flesh was no different from yours or mine, made of a woman born under the law, he, suffered, blead, just like we do. No flesh inherits the kingdom of God. If the flesh man was perfect, It would still be with us but it isn’t, and what you don’t see is the Christ that remains, and is supposed to be in you. You are supposed to be the one He is risen in.

Read Romans 7. Even Paul wasn't perfect. He had to deal with the old man as well. We all do.
If one has a problem with the flesh man He needs to put on the Christ. I am crucified with Christ, My old man is crucified, dead gone, never the less I live, YET NO I BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME. I am no longer of self I am of Christ. If the flesh man has you captive then Christ has become a stumbling block for you. If one be in Christ he is free from that flesh man of sin and death.

In Romans 7 Paul was setting up his argument for not walking in the flesh in other words taking off the old man, and walking in the Spirit in other words putting on the new man fashioned after the image of Christ, which he delivered perfectly (pun intended) in Romans 8. If you walk in the flesh you will be condemned therefore walk in the Spirit where there is no condemnation.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

AMEN, That is a truth.

Do you believe you're 100% successful? Are you sinless? Perfect? If you are, I'd love to meet you.

I'm sure as hell not. But I'm working on getting better at it.

It isn’t something that you work for it is something you receive from God and His righteousness. Trying to figure this out on your own will not work concerning the Christ. You will never experience His perfection on your own. His way is not your way, His way is for you to have His Spirit, mind, His being in you.

The only way is to set asides yourself, your logic, your opinions, your doctrines and put on His.

It isnt someting you earn, it is someting that you recieve from God Himself.

The more I read and learn from Jesus the more I wonder at the perfect in Jesus, and the perfect we know in of the world.
I cannot speak perfectly to this, no pun intended, :) but it apears that the perfect we are called to in Jesus is far different from what we think, because I wonder that its not so much the perfect idea, action or thought.
But that in Jesus, we recieve the grace, power and love of God Our Father which is what makes all perfect.
Ill try to give an example, have you ever had a child bring you a flower, calling it a rose, when actually it is a dandilion, a weed.
But because of the humility of the child and the hope and love they give you in that dandilion, it becomes the most perfect rose you have ever recived.
Like I saud Im still learning, and dont really know how to define perfect other than what is promised in Jesus.
But sometimes in that moment before God in Jesus , when one rests in Jesus, I wonder if the perfect is not at all what we know in flesh, but the love of God in Jesus, that makes all perfect.

God bless.
pickles

WOW Pickles that was beautiful and you hit it dead on the head and are blessed of God.
Reminds me of the two young twin sisters.
Outside the door of their house was a bush. One day one came in crying, Dad that old bush outside the door is ugly and has thorns and stuck me and made me bleed and you need to cut it down.
The next day the other twin came in -- Dad did you see that bush beside the door with the beautiful roses on it and they smell so good!

It all is a matter of perspective how people view things. Some see Christ as something they cant touch and another sees Christ as something they can touch and be.

Jesus resurrection was physical.

John 2:19-22
Jesus answered them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days. They replied, It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

Jesus ate after his resurrection.

Luke 24:42-43
They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Jesus was risen in a flesh and bone body.

Luke 24:39
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.

Later Thomas put his finger in the holes of Jesus hands.

John 20:27
Then he said to Thomas, Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.
He did the same thing to me. And when I saw the Christ I was like Thomas and said my Lord and my God now I see.
The reason Mary didn’t recognize Jesus after he rose untel she heard, or the man on the beach who cooked breakfast for the fishermen who said cast your net on the other side of the boat, They didn’t recognize who this man was but knew who he was when he spoke. Is the same one Thomas didn’t recognize until he heard. And it is the same one who is knocking at your door this day wanting to reveal Himself to you.
Tear down your present temple and He will rebuild it and abide there.
Christ is risen in a flesh and bone man, were it, Christ in you. And that Spirit in you does not have flesh and bone as you see Him. You will never see Him if you are looking for a God of flesh. He is Spirit and resides in YOU and once you see Him you will say My Lord and my God now I see.

When a person acts on Romans 10:9, he is born of holy spirit, which is Christ in you. That is not the return of Christ. Christ will literally return to gather the Christian church.

We will not be rid of our sin nature until the return.

LOL

He has not.

1 Thes 4:
13) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18) Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

He is not to you, you are asleep. But we who He has come to and made His abode are alive in Christ. Christ in you is my assurance. The Lord Himself discended through those clouds that YOU cant see through and made His abode in us who do see. And we are caught up to meet with him where He is, same mind, same SPirit, Christ in you. Not very comforting to those who are asleep. He will never come under your rules for Him.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Every person who has acted on Romans 10:9 is a Christian, born again of God's spirit. They have holy spirit (Christ in you).

Those people "asleep in Christ" are dead Christians. Christ's return will be an actual event. People will be raised from the dead. People will leave the face of the earth.

You cannot spiritualize away everything in the bible.

..well, you can. But you'd be wrong.

I didnt come up with it, it is Gods will that Christ be in me.

Every person who has recieved Gods SPrit in them are His saved. Salvation is Gods Spirit manifest in your mortal flesh. People are raised from the dead when Christ comes and makes His abode in you, until then you are dead to Christ. And we who have recieved are taken out of this world already. He brings a new heaven and earth, Behold the kingdom of God is withn you, once you see that you are no longer of this world.

God is Soirit and you cant worship or know Him at all unless it is in Spirit, His Spirit in you.

You are trying to make god into your image, the image of a man insted of having in you and being as He is and one with Him. God is not for some future event, God is wating on you now to recieve His coming.

I am a Christian, born again of holy spirit. But I am waiting for His son to appear from heaven.

1 Thes 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Romans 8:
23) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24) For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

We are waiting for Christ to return. That event is still future.

That is a lie, mixed with some truth. GaryMac why are you like a stumbling block to many?

Matthew 24:23-31
Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There he is! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, Look, he is in the wilderness, do not go out. If they say, Look, he is in the inner rooms, do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds,

I have answered. I am Christian.

You don't get it. Christ's return will be an actual event. Dead Christians will rise. Live Christians will change. We will be plucked from this world, and return with Christ to start the millennial kingdom.
