I don't think that Jesus died for plants and trees either but I am guessing that these will be in the New Heaven and the New Earth too. I guess that God is not powerful enough to resurrect our pets and maybe He just doesn't care. The way some people described heaven makes you wonder why you would even want to go there. It seems to be a boring place.

It does seem one needs to account for the requirement of being born again to see the kingdom of God and how this would apply to animals. And why just somebody's pet? Is the God not a respecter of persons a respecter of animals? It seems you'd have to include all animals, in this case, and I'm not sure that cow I had part of in a cheeseburger last week would find me welcome company on the other side, for understandable reasons. I'm also uncertain of wanting to see some mosquitoes again. In any event, the confusion over the basic gospel that goes on around here would seem to indicate we need to get the theology of humans down, first, if this is at all possible. Just sayin'.

Mosquitoes are pests and cattle is for food but i'm sure many have made both their pets here just like bed bugs and fleas. Do Misquitos and cows run on batteries or was life put in them? will the life not return to God when their body drops? Perhaps you have been to heaven and will educate us with your great insight of knowledge of all things then?

There are surely mosquitoes and cows that may take umbrage at this! What makes you think all cattle is thinking they's just food?
Would never be so presumptuous, enough of a problem to prayerfully hope some of you only get your pets, then, that God's also prejudiced against skeeters. And at least I have some twinge of regret over the cow, hope Daisy didn't hear you call her food. You know, some Asians have different ideas about what's food... Dude.

It is my personal opinion that all animals go to heaven. God created them and gave them a soul. I think that heaven would not be complete without animals.
Stick with what scripture says, don't guess about what it doesn't say.

Animals don't have souls. Some people astound me with their shallowness in the word. We don't know what heaven will be like. We don't have the ability to even imagine it. Yet here some of you folks have this little cozy scene all set up in your mind...prolly chicken coops and hound dogs and maybe you favorite parrot or kitten or poodle.
Mercy sakes, how silly to try to imagine something that God has already told you that you can't. If your heavenly life won't be complete unless little Fluffy is there, I'm pretty sure God has that problem solved already.

How do you know animals don't have souls? Have you ever been an animal? I know they feel love, pain and loneliness. My Father had a cat that was very attached to him. When my Dad died our cat was mourning, she would sort of cat howl for him, she would sleep on the slippers he wore everyday and she kept looking for him in his favorite chair. Open your hearts and minds.

It is understood that animals do not have a spirit so when they are dead they are gone forever. But in the Kingdom of God at the end of time I cannot imagine not having animals as they are such wondrous and lovable creatures. I think there will be animals in heaven but I think they will be redesigned and the wildness taken out of them. The original blueprints are still in eternity. I know the lion laying down with the lamb is a metaphor of the coming of the New Covenant but I also have to think it is literal as well.

I'm not convinced animals have a soul, because the scriptural evidence is pretty scant. This may be by design, as there is not a lot of scriptural discussion of what heaven is like period, save that there is a resurrection. Seriously some people can't even agree on the concept that a resurrection implies that you do have a physical body. Animals are... pretty far down the line.
However, if animals have souls, I would say those souls never needed saving to begin with. Sin entered the world through Adam. It has always been humanity that needed saving. Animals just sort of do whatever it is they do, and I'm guessing without guilt, or that would have been mentioned scripturally.

You know that some botanists and plant lovers will swear that talking to plants or playing certain kinds of music, is beneficial to them and arguing or yelling hurts them, right? Do plants have souls?
Where in the bible does it hint that animals have souls? You think that ANY of God's creations don't have the ability to appreciate good care? You really have no clue what God is capable of, do you?
I have had many pets and miss them all. I have 5 dogs now. I harbor no illusions that they will got to heaven, but when I make it I have all the confidence in the world that if God thinks I need pets He'll provide some heavenly ones for me.
