I cannot hep but wonder how he explains John1:1. He doesn't know anything about the Greek and has denied or refused to acknowledge every scripture I have shown him. He simply refuses to accept what Jesus has said about himself or what the Father has sad about him or what the Holy Spirit through the NT writers have declared about him. This man does not believe in the Jesus of the Bible. I wouldn't waste any more time with him. We are charged by the Lord himself not to "give that which is holy to the dogs." Lord willing, one day he perhaps he will figure it out.

He isnt a Christian. If he doesn't believe the basic tenants of the gospel he can call himself anything, but a Christian he is not.

Please just give me one verse from anywhere in the bible that states Christ is the one true God and you must believe it to inherit eternal life. If you cannot, you must believe salvational belief is not plainly written in the bible.the holy spirit would never do such a thing, but the mind of man....

I have ignored what you placed before me? You had nothing to place before me in truth, whereas I gave you the direct statements of Christ on this issue to which you had no answer. How many ministers do you know who make the statements you do from the pulpit? I have never heard one, and i have been to many churches of various denominations. You need to get into spirit filled Christianity, not one of the theological mind

It is you setting scripture against scripture. O am giving you the words of Christ directly related to this issue

. . .some follow the doctrines of man, and some rely on the plain word of the bible
Your setting the word of God (Jn 1:1, 13) against itself (Jn 14:28, 17:3) is ipso facto proof that you do not understand it, for God does not contradict himself in his word written.

Jn 1:1, 13, 14:28, 17:23 are in prefect agreement.

I appreciate this is the internet, but it is not wise to state a person is Bo a christian by standing on the plain words of Christ when he walked this earth. One day you will be called to account for such as that

God does not contradict himself in his word. That is why you cannot produce one verse of scripture from the entire bible that states Christ is the one true God, let alone one that says you must believe that to inherit eternal life

It's not a failure in understanding, it is a failure in belief.

I am afraid your repetetive statements only show you have no answer to the words of Christ. Nor can you give me any verse that states he is the one true God. Therefore it is you trying to pit scripture against scripture

You've been given AMPLE proof. If there's MORE you need, then you simply need a revelation of Jesus Christ...and salvation...because you are suffering with the evil heart of unbelief.

Hebrews 3:12
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

What proof? Jesus stated only the father is the one true God and greater than the son. John states no one has ever seen God, Paul and Christ agree. Paul states we only have one God, the father, and one lord Jesus Christ. He also states Christ will be subject to the father when akl is accomplished. You need to stop blindly following man made doctrines that contradict the plain words of the bible

Oh now you acknowledge me?! I have absolutely no problem being called into account for what I said.I stand on it.The doctrine you're preaching is not from the Bible. You,my friend, are not a Christian if you do not believe in the deity of Christ. Period.Either Im right or Christ was a downright liar. Answer the following please....

Matthew 26--Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,61And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. 62And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 63But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.64Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.65Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. 66What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

Matthew 16---When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, SimonBarjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Fatherwhich is in heaven.

John 8---Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
John 10-- I and the Father are One.

John 14-- He who has seen me has seen the Father.

Just to name a few. If Jesus didnt claim to be God why did the priest rip his robe? Why did he say it was blasphemy, what Jesus had said?

Since I don´t believe in lies, but in what Jesus said (Mat 10:26 Don't be afraid of anyone! Everything that is hidden will be found out, and every secret will be known. )

This is what I saw other ppl believed, by moment I voted:

No proof has been given because the bible does not state their man made belief. But it is a big book and as Muslims and others misinterpret it, so does the would be scholar and theologian often, sadly

No you're not a Christian because you dont believe what Christ said. One of the fundamentals of Christianity is Christs deity. How can one be born of a virgin if they arent deity?

At least, whenever I read Paul´s letters, in his salutations, he mentioned 2 persons (not 3) and, the problem came (probably) for those ideas the RCC elaborated...

If you, my brother, had the Spirit of God dwelling within, does it make you God (or a God)?

If the HS were inside you, overflowing, will you say you are God (or a god). Jesus "said" He was (and IS) divine, but not GOD and, if He is the Son of God, something in Him is Godly, as long as His body was human... That´s why He often prayed to the Father, becasue we all need God the Father, to be saved.

The Lord Jesus said in John:

Joh 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father.

Joh 6:44 No one can come to me, unless the Father who sent me makes them want to come. But if they do come, I will raise them to life on the last day.

It is the FATHER´S WILL we follow Jesus, his Son.

You did not answer the Scriptures btw. Why did the priest tear his clothes? Because Jesus was claiming to be GOD!
