When I speak in tongues, it is a very resonant syllable sound that sounds like I am speaking GREEK, HEBREW, LATIN, CHINESE, JAPANESE, SPANISH, ALL AT THE SAME TIME... for just ONE SYLLABLE SOUND. Anyone else pray in tongues like this? I know english, spanish, chinese, and japanese, and when I pray in tongues it makes sense in all 4 languages individually. The sentences are varied in vocabulary meaning, but the miraculous part of it is that in ENGLISH, SPANISH, JAPANESE, AND CHINESE, the main point of each language meaning in this praying in tongues sentence is THE SAME, but in MULTIPLE LANGUAGES!
I have had someone who knew English, and didn't know Chinese, and someone who knew Chinese and didn't know English, and they said they heard "The song is hilariously funny and loving" in their own language, one in English, and the other in Chinese. And when we got a person gifted with the supernatural gift of the Holy Spirit of interpretation of tongues (2 people by the way in separate rooms, not sharing among each other), he and she said THE INTERPRETATION was "The song is hilariously funny and loving!" EXACTLY THE SAME!
ISN'T THIS CRAZY AMAZING!?
From my experience, supernatural praying in tongues should not be just gibberish, but can be understood by people also in their own language (Acts 2) and also with help of gift of interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 14). If it is missing either, it is not the full supernatural gift of praying in tongues according to your very own bible.
Anyone else pray like this?!
I, as a multi-lingual polyglot, definitely agree that the Holy Spirit definitely trumps whatever language learning and skill that I have EVER LEARNED, SPOKE, OR HEARD, OR PRACTICED. (AND I KNOW 4 LANGUAGES!) PRAISE BE TO GOD!
ALLELUIA!
